Best shoes ever! We live in a house with all wood floors that can be brutal on our feet. The Birkenstocks soft footbed make walking around all day so comfortable!

The arch support is less noticeable in this version than the original, hard footbed version, but it is still adequate for me since I don't have a lot of "arch support issues" in general. The soft footbed originally takes up a lot of room inside the shoe but flattens out a little bit as you wear it. If you have extremely wide/chubby feet, this might be uncomfortable at first for you.

Comfy - If you are new to Birkenstock, I highly recommend getting the soft footbed. A lot more comfortable than the regular footbed. I wear a size 9.5 and I had originally ordered size 40, but they were a tad small, so I returned them and got the size 41. Perfect. I have a wide, flat foot and it is extremely difficult to get comfortable stylish shoes. I am extremely pleased with these shoes.

Like House shoes... These shoes are so comfortable; it’s like wearing your house shoes out of the house! I did order the narrow and have narrow feet and they are a bit wide, but I think that is part of the fit. I wear wool socks which are thick and they are comfy. I couldn't run a race in them- they would fall off - ha! I am very happy with these! If your foot is average to narrow, I would order the narrow! I normally wear a 9 ½ and I had to order the 41.

SOO Comfortable - I have plantar fasciitis and these shoes are the most comfortable shoes I've found. I wish I could wear them all day - everywhere.

Comfort!!! The shoes are great. By far the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Zappos offers free shipping and quick delivery. I will definitely shop thru them again!

Great Birkies - Unbelievably comfortable, and, for its type, not at all bad looking. It was great to find my size, too.

Shoes for my granddaughters - It was a few days from Christmas and I had not gotten to the store to purchase their Birks. A co-worker just received some shoes from Zappos and loved them. So I decided to place an order for my girl's shoes. The order process was very easy and the shoes arrived the next day! The quality and fit were perfect and it saved me a trip to the mall.

As comfortable as ever! I have been wearing Birkenstocks since the 60s, and now that I am older I am really glad for the soft footbed in some of the styles. As the name implies, they are softer. Very comfortable from the beginning. Nice looking in their own way.

Birkenstock Boston Soft Footbed - I got these for my son for Christmas and they fit perfectly! He is a size 13 and I was a bit worried about the width, but just go with the description on narrow vs. medium and you will have a perfect fit. Very quick delivery and packaged well, thanks so much!

Great clog! Classic, comfortable, quality...You have to do a little guess work with the sizing, but it worked out...I think they run wide so I ordered the narrow (I am not normally a narrow) and they fit very well. The best thing is that I ordered them in the evening and they were on my porch the next afternoon!! Super quick. Zappos is great!

Fabulous - There’s not much to say that hasn't already been said. These are excellent shoes. I do notice I have to work a little harder to keep them on my feet than with open toe Birkenstock styles. The soft footbed is really, really nice and the fact that they come in narrow is great.

Birkenstocks For My Teenagers - My oldest daughter has worn out two pairs of Birks in college. Hers were not the soft bed and I hadn't paid attention that I had ordered the soft bed style for my other son and daughter. They felt so good and required less "breaking in" time. Now my oldest daughter wants a pair of the soft beds! I have also gone through 3 pairs since becoming a mom 21 years ago! These shoes last a long time and are great for standing and being on your feet a lot, which I am as a Kindergarten teacher! Don't bother with knock-off brands and styles - they don't come anywhere close to the true Birkenstock!

No break-in period - This is my first pair of soft footbed Birkenstocks and they're comfortable. They really aren't that different than the regular footbed, in my opinion. I've been buying Birkenstocks for years and have noticed that the sizing seems to be smaller than my earlier pairs.

Wide - I ordered the 40/Regular as I was planning to wear thick socks and my feet are on the wider side of regular. But even with my thick socks, I was swimming in these shoes. Will re-order in 40/narrow.

Great clog! Bought these for myself and loved them so much that I got a pair for my fiance. He loves them too, but is getting a little self-conscience that he doesn't see as many guys wearing them! We bought the soft footbed, and I don't think the arch support is as good on these, but they are incredibly comfortable. I don't walk extensively in them since my foot tends to slip out every once in a while. They run about a 1/2 size too small.

I'm a hero - My daughter has a size 11/W foot. Needless to say, finding shoes at the shoe store is next to impossible. ZAPPOS to the rescue. We have ordered several times. She loves her new Birkenstocks. They were a hit when she unwrapped them Christmas morning and I was her hero. Donna

Birkenstock's always good - Love the look of these felted clogs. A little worried about how to keep the felt clean however.

Great Birkenstock Clog!! I have never been able to wear the Birk clogs because I have a narrow foot, but because Zappos offers the narrow - now I can wear them!!! These are soft in the toe area, and I need that for ingrown toe nail, and they fit well enough since they are narrow! Thanks Zappos!!

Boston Soft footbed - This is the third pair that I have ordered. The first one was for me, then my granddaughter and my daughter. The soft footbed is so comfortable that I didn't have any break in time. These shoes look good and the only word I can think of to describe them is... wonderful. Quality is great.

Worth every penny.. The most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I ordered these last night before bed and they were waiting for me when I got home! No one can touch Zappos for service.

Fantastic - This is my first pair of Birkenstock shoes. I am very happy with them, I put them on when I get out of the bed and I don't take them off until i go to bed. They are very comfortable.

Best Shoe Ever - I purchased this shoe from Zappos.com and received it the next day. I have a foot disorder called brachymetatarsia. This is the best shoe I have ever put on my foot. No break in time needed and the cushion is superb. I would recommend this shoe to anyone who has to be on their feet all day and it looks good too. I'm going to order another pair today.

Can't beat Birks! Although Birkenstocks are not the prettiest shoes, they are the best! These are very easy to wear right away, although, there is a little break in period. I expected the footbed to be softer than it is, but it's still very comfortable. I have plantar fasciitis and these work just fine!
