Very comfortable shoes - I have a pair of Birk sandals that I've had forever. I wanted something w/ a closed toe. They required almost no break-in. They felt great to start. I am so glad that they come in a narrow. That plus adjustable strap makes them a perfect fit.

Love the soft footbeds - There is virtually no 'wear-in' period for any the soft footbed Birkenstocks I have owned. I wore a new pair to walk around a city sightseeing and had no problems with them. I recently got a Boston pair because I wanted a sandal substitute for colder weather. I got what I asked for: Birkenstocks comfort plus warm toes. They feel just like my Floridas. I did have some issue the first day with the side suede by the strap folding under my arch, but that stopped happening within that first day. I purchase Birkenstocks in size 37 narrow and normally wear a US 6.5 medium width.

Perfect slip on shoe - Soft upper, soft footbed, great arch support, wide toe box. Super construction. It fits on the large size because of the width. I wear a 9EE in New Balance running shoes and a size 41 regular width in these.

Love birks for work!!! I work 16 hrs a day 3 days a week, before my birks I wore tennis shoes and came home with giant swollen, sore throbbing feet, now that I wear Birkenstocks to work, I have no swelling, no throbbing, and no sore feet. They are amazing! I will no longer wear anything else to work.(p.s -I’m a nurse on her feet all day)

Birks Boston - I wanted something to slip into when I come home from work. The Boston does the trick with added bonus: the cork bed is comfortable and supportive. Even with the open back, I can still go up and down steps if I am mindful of what I'm wearing as the contoured cork bed helps retain the shoe. I am completely satisfied with this shoe for the purpose that I bought it for. However, I found that I am wearing it more and more. First, around town for errands and then over to friends house, etc. I guess that really says it. These are comfortable and casual... I ordered the narrow based on the advice of the Zappos rep (great service).

VERY Comfortable Shoe - This is a very comfortable shoe. I have Birkenstocks with the regular footbed but the soft footbed is my favorite--no break-in time at all -- instant comfort when you put them on. I have 3 different styles of Birkenstocks with a soft footbed and don't plan to go back to the regular footbed. The only complaint I have is that they stretch a lot so if your foot is narrow (like mine) you may need to put more holes in the strap.

Boston SOFT footbed - My husband LOVES these shoes. Our golden retriever ate the first one (3 times). Finally the shoemaker couldn't fix it anymore. Now my husband received this pair for Christmas - and hasn't taken them off! Our dog has been warned not to eat this pair!

2 sizes tried - I wear a size 12 (women's) and tried both the 45 narrow and 44 narrow. The 44 narrow actually felt like a narrow, so I kept those. Very comfy except sometimes the side pieces fold in on my feet.

So comfortable! I have terrible heel pain (plantar fasciitis) and needed comfortable shoes. I'm on my feet 12 hours a day when I work as a nurse. I originally ordered the regular footbed but it was too uncomfortable for me. I then decided on the soft footbed and it's perfect. I have narrow feet and the narrow width is very good and I can adjust the strap to fit better. I wish this came in a leather so that I could wipe away the germs easier when I'm at the hospital. I bought the embossed nubuck and they are very high quality. They do run small. I am an 8 narrow normally. I got a 39 narrow and had to return for a 40 narrow.

Birkies - My order was at my house the day after I ordered it. I put the shoes on and wore them right away and they were comfortable from the first step. I have had these shoes before and will but them again in another color for the fall.

Kudos for Zappos - Ordered Birkenstock Boston soft footbed at 9:00 PM, they were on my doorstep next day. They are so comfortable, I wear them to work on days I don't have court. (I am an attorney.) In fact, I did wear them one day to court.

Reasonable arch support - This is my first pair of Birkenstocks. I have a neuroma + bunions and noted these shoes were recommended by several podiatrists. I wear a 7.5W or 8R and ordered a 38. The shoe fits fine. The toe box is wide and the arch support is reasonable. I wear them around the house and for short outings as they do not accommodate orthotics. I am thankful I ordered the soft footbed. It is not very soft and I don't think I would have liked the other type, but they do feel supportive. As always, appreciate the ease of purchasing through Zappos.

Comfy but takes some wearing-in time to adjust to the footbed and arch support. I wore them too long at the beginning and suffered sore feet and legs.

The shoe went to Israel - We recently spent 2 and a half weeks touring Israel. It's very hilly in parts and rocky in others. I bought this shoe for the trip and it was a home run. The soft sole is great for rocky walking and with a bit of brushing, it looks good enough for a casual dinner out. Also, looked good with pants and skirts. I would recommend it for almost any walking situation.

Comfy and easy to wear - I got these shoes to replace my wool clogs for summer, and I *love* them! Like all Birkenstocks, they take a couple of days to break in, but it's soooo worth it. Incredibly comfortable, easy to slip on and off - I wear them every single day.

Really Comfortable - I had previously owned a pair of Birkenstock Boston Clogs. These with the soft footbed are extremely comfortable, there is no "breaking in" time.

Great!!! I decided to give these a try after my boyfriend raved about the comfort. He was definitely right, they are very, very comfortable. I find that I wear these over my Ugg slippers around the house more because I get better leg and knee support. He wears the high arch version and claims no other type shoe is out there that is more comfortable. These are a must, you will not want to take them off. Note: I'm a size 8 1/2 women’s, sometimes a wide width (depends on shoe and company)... anyway... I order the size 39 in narrow width and it was a perfect fit.

Fantastic Shoe! I bought these shoes 2 weeks ago and can't take them off. I want to wear them everywhere! I have them in taupe suede and they look great with jeans or khakis. The soft footbed is definitely worth the extra $10. I bought them one size larger than my open toe Birkenstocks b/c my usual size cramped my toes. Zappos was great with the exchange and sent me the new size before I could even get the others in the mail!

Help for Plantar Fasciitis! This is the only shoe that has helped my Plantar Fasciitis. I wear them around the house all the time, even when I get up at night. (Being barefoot is the enemy with PF!) The arch support and the heel cup can't be beat. I am sure other Birkenstock styles would work as well, but I prefer a closed toe. The quality of the shoe is excellent, as well as the craftsmanship. If you aren't familiar with Birkenstock the words "soft footbed" may lead you to believe it is a very cushy shoe. Not so, it really is just softer than the original footbed. I do think it runs a little smaller than the original footbed. I purchased the Cashmere color. It is about the same color as the handles of a Louis Vuitton hand bag. (Not that those two items go together, but just for color reference). I hope Birkenstock will make more styles in the Soft Footbed, it really is more comfortable than the original. Wonderful - These shoes are probably the most comfortable shoes I own!!! I Love them!!!

Great, but... These shoes are wonderful, but you have to be willing to give them time to mold to your foot. The soft footbed is easier to break in than the original, but it still takes time and patience.

Birkenstocks Clog - Excellent clog - I love them, wear them all the time, and actually have them on now. Ordering shoes (and returning them if necessary) with Zappos could not be easier.

Soft Footbed is a change... I purchased the Birkenstock new Soft Footbed for a more comfortable "around town" shoe. It seems to have better support and isn't so hard when standing for a long time. I haven't worn them out for long periods of time, but I think the new footbed is an improvement over the regular style. I had to buy a narrow width for this shoe-my older Birkenstocks were much narrower in the "regular" width.

I only wear Birkenstocks - I have about 60 pairs of Birkenstocks and this is the first time I ordered the soft bed. They are very comfortable.
