I ordered the Boston's in a 40 narrow (I am usually a size 10) in the jasper suede. The color is awesome and they look amazing. If your feet are in any way a little narrow, I recommend the narrow.

These are absolutely amazing! This is my very first pair and I want a leather pair too. They are worth every penny! Customer service was awesome! I needed to exchange for a smaller size and they sent out a pair before I sent back the original ones I ordered with overnight shipping so I did not have to wait too long! Great experience all around!

Have worn Birkenstocks for yrs for the arch support. Soft footbed is very comfortable. True to size - they do stretch in width. They last forever.

The comfiest shoes ever! The leather quality is great too. Zappos service is amazing, I will do all my shopping here, they have the best return policy ever!

I love these shoes. I normally wear a medium width but in this brand I need a narrow. These shoes are super supportive and cute too!

I have had a pair of Birks in rotation for the past 25 years, and they never fail to please. I am a veterinarian and am on my feet (and crawling around on the floor) all day long, and these are the only shoes that keep my feet happy. I have had previous issues with plantar fasciitis, and the soft footbed on these shoes makes a huge difference. I rotate with Dansko clogs, but these are much lighter and easier to wear on 12 hour days. I wear a 9.5 shoe and always get a size 40 in Birks.

I love the traditional Birkenstocks (Arizona) and this one is no exception. I love it. I am very happy they made this one in a sift footbed. The soft footbed is the only one that works for me. I am an 8-8.5 and wear the 38 regular perfectly.

I love my new Birkenstocks; even though 1 foot is 1/2 size larger they fit very well. No need to break in. Ready out of the box. Zappos is a great place to shop.

I absolutely love by Birks! After a long day at work, I slip them on at the end of the day and all is good. It will be a sad day indeed if Birkenstock ever discontinues this shoe. I have traveled all over the world, and my Birks are always with me. Look great with shorts, jeans and khakis. Sizing is true and they take a few moths to break in. Best shoe ever!

Not great if you have flat feet. There is something weird about the way they make my feet land. Kind of like my toe in the air. Beware of this shoe if you have flat fee.

Too stiff, the surface of the shoes is pretty rough. Did not look as good as the pictures shown on Zappos website. Not comfortable at all. The shipment was poorly packaged. The shoe box was smashed and broken. Very disappointed with the order.

This is my first pair of Birkenstocks. I was really excited when they arrived. When I first laid eyes on them, they seemed worn a bit with some kind of shiny patches on the front. Anyway I have flat feet so the arches seem a bit high. I can feel the shoe trying to make my feet land correctly. Be warned that will hurt a bit. I have had them on almost 8 hours today and the bottom of my feet are sore. I wanted to give Birkenstock a try, but I may have to return these.

I usually wear 39 regular. So I ordered 38 wide and narrow. With socks wide felt perfect. Without socks narrow felt perfect. I didn't like Birkenstock hard footbed I had years ago. It made my feet tired quickly. But soft foot bed makes huge difference. I love them. i was surprised leather is so easy to get scratched.

These are the most comfortable things I wear! They have a great foot bed, and the toe grips are perfect. They are great for walking and standing!

Extremely happy with this purchase. I've owned various Birkenstock sandals over the years and this is the first pair of clogs for me. These are super comfortable and high quality. And the best part was I could wear them all day, right out of the box with no "break in" time needed. Sizing is accurate. I have a narrow foot and these fit well.

I bought these during a bout of Plantars Fasciitis to wear as house slippers. They have become my go to comfort shoe. No, not terribly fashionable, but somehow I still find them adorable in a geeky "I can't help it" kind of way. :-) Experiment with sizing until you find the right fit. You will grow to enjoy these more and more over time! And Zappos is awesome!!

I have a chronically sore right foot. As such, I always have to wear shoes. Even inside. I have tried a multitude of "house shoes" and Birks are my go to. They may not always be the cutest, but they sure do feel good. I normally wear a 9.5 or 10 and have a narrow foot. I bought these in a 40 narrow and they fit perfectly. The great thing about Birks is they get better with time and wear.

I ordered a pair of Boston soft footbeds in a 40N, and I wear a US size 9. The narrow is completely wide enough, and I actually put another hole in the strap, so I can make them tighter. I can't imagine wearing the regular unless you have truly a wide foot. I find the soft footbed much more comfortable than the traditional footbed, though the traditional footbed is comfy in a different way after time. These however, are seriously comfy out of the box. The biggest difference is the toe bar. The soft footbed doesn't have nearly as much of a raised toe bar. It is very soft there, which I like. On the regular shoe my foot doesn't quite sit on the toe bar correctly on my right foot and it can be slightly uncomfortable. The suede isn't my favorite, but I got the suede for a serious discount, so I tried it. The suede is very nubby and looks way more casual than if you had a nice smooth leather. However, there might be a trade off in comfort. The leather might rub until it was good and broken in. I tried the shoes on with regular ladies socks, and they were fine.

I have wide feet and these fit well. They run big. I normally wear a 7W but had to go with their size 37 to get the right fit.

I bought these to wear around the office. These shoes fit the bill. They are larger then indicated. I have a friend buy these for me and had to return once. But Zappos makes that easy. I wear a 12 and had to get a 11. Once I got the new ones it was fine. Highly recommended.

I have always been a fan of Birkenstocks from years ago, but had stopped wearing them over the years for various reasons. However, I recently had some issues with my arches and decided to try them again. It reminded me of how comfortable and supportive these are. While they are not my main shoe for my power walks, I put them on afterwards and at all other times, to allow my feet to recover from exercise. I now have 3 different colors. Some may not think they are the most fashionable statement in the world, but they miss the point. Birki's are their own fashion statement in and of themselves! I will be looking at the sandals in the Spring/Summer.

I bought a pair of these at a thrift store ten years ago, and have worn them every day since then. The arch support is slightly more than I would like, as it causes my feet to supinate (roll outward). Subsequently, the treads are more worn on the outer edges of the heels. That said, these things are so comfortable that I hardly ever take them off. Mine are large enough to wear with socks, which I always do. Super comfy in the winter with a pair of extra thick wool socks, so I still wear them as long as there is less than 8 inches of snow. Seriously, they are really that comfortable. I paid nine dollars for mine, and am ready to replace them. I have absolutely no hesitation to buy a new pair at full price, as I'm confident they will easily give a decade of service. Fouteen bucks a year for the world's most comfortable shoe ain't bad at all.

I am writing this review 2½ year after purchase because I just ordered their replacement. I have worn these every day since October 2011 I am just ordering a new pair because the footbed feels a bit flat. There is minimal wear on them. I do not wear socks with them and this has not been a problem at all. They have retained their shape. My biggest problem was they squeaked when I first got them - for like a month. I tried way, oil, tape etc., but the buckle squeaked. It was extremely comical since I am 40! I love these and they are not going in the trash despite their age. They are worth the price and the squeak. I love them!

Love Zappos quick service! Shoe looks better than the picture, although I only gave the style a 4 because it has that somewhat orthopedic look (but who cares if your feet feel good?), and the suede feels great. I wear a 5.5-6 American size, but need a 35 normal in Birkenstock Gizeh. 35 regular was really wide in both the regular cork footbed and this great new soft footbed. the 35 narrow fits perfectly, right length and not too tight. So unless you have really wide feet or wear super thick socks, order the narrow. Took 3 pair for me to find a great fit, but thanks to Zappos I have a wonderful new pair of shoes. It's worth the extra expense for the soft footbed, and thanks to Zappos selection and returns you can get the right fit. I look forward to wearing these now that it's really too cold for my regular Gizeh and most other brands make my feet hurt after a few hours.
