This is my first pair of Boston clogs, though I have worn Birk sandals for years. I bought them to wear through the fall and winter here in California. Well, when I put them on they were comfortable like all Birks. I especially like the soft footbed. Also as usual, I had to make an extra hole in the strap, because I wear the regular width, but have flat feet, so don't fill out the depth of the shoes. Anyway, as far as sizing goes, I have found that once you know your size, it remains true across all classic styles. I wear an 8, and a 38 in Birks. Now about the style. Holy Moly, somebody said that they look like platypus bills, and it's a perfect description. It takes chutzpah to go out in these, but do it! They are so out of fashion that it's unbelievable, but you won't want to take them off. Plus, if you roll the bottom of your jeans up about an inch, and wear with socks, the look is sort of cute. So go rock your Birks. Confidence is always attractive, even if your shoes aren't.

I love these shoes. They are very true to size and complete comfort. I also enjoy dealing with Zappos. They are very friendly and very helpful.

I love the soft brown color of the Habana oiled leather, but it was too stiff for me. I have foot problems so I may be overly sensitive, but I had to return these and get the same style in suede and the softer Amalfi leather. As always, Zappos gave me amazing customer service. The softer leathers worked like a charm for me.

The left shoe has a rough suede texture and the right shoe has a smooth suede texture. That is a noticeable difference.

I feel badly about leaving an unfavorable review but shoes with this type of design (where the heel dips low in the back and one's toes actually end up being higher than one's heel) end up giving me terrible knee trouble. I'm not sure if this happens to others or if it's just a personal foible. I put on the shoe and knew right away this was going to give me knee trouble so I put them right back in the box and will be returning.

I wear these shoes at work when I can be relaxed. I literally have no complaints about standing or moving about. They look great and allow me to work at a standing desk throughout the day.

A few years ago I broke my foot and waited too long before going to the dr. I've been having pain and wearing down the side of my left shoe ever since. A Co worker recommended these shoes and I'm SO glad she did. They don't wear down like other shoes and they're comfortable. Like walking around Disney Land for 6 hours with no foot pain comfortable. Highly recommended. They are a little tight at first but within a couple days they fit perfect.

Let me start by saying that these are very comfortable shoes. I tried these out during the pride parade, when it was moderately cold, and these held up great. They are super comfortable and can be worn in colder weathers than the Arizonas (which I absolutely love). The cork footbed is super comfortable, and since I have foot problems, they were great. My partner recommended them to me, and it seems now that he was right. I wear these all the time. Great shoes!

These Boston soft footbeds are great shoes -- neat-looking and so comfortable to wear. Do not get a narrow unless you have a narrow foot. The regular is wide but not too wide. I wear a 7.5 in American sizing and a 38 in Birkenstocks; perfect, both with or without socks.

I have 3 pairs of these in three different sizes and colors, so I feel like an expert in sizing. I wear a 8.5 medium or a 8 wide on occasion. An 8 is sometimes a tad short for my right foot. The Birkenstock 39 regular (unisex) is big and I wear a thick wool sock with them. The 38 narrow is too narrow but I broke them in so they are comfortable without any sock, but the side of my right foot still rubs occasionally. The 38 regular (unisex) is good with a medium sock. My foot still tends to move forward and hit the toe end of the shoes. I find the soft foot bed sandal more comfortable because it's open toed. This shoe I have in a 38 unisex and I prefer that size. I can't wear Birkenstock without the soft foot bed.

As expected. Good quality and will last for a long time. Not the first pair and not disappointed.

Cool clogs. They are very comfortable to wear. I think I will be wearing them a long time!

I normally wear a 41 in Euro sizes (yes, I have huge feet). I have numerous pairs of Gizeh sandals that have saved my life with all of my foot problems. I ordered a 41 in the Boston clog. It cramps the toes, and I don't like it. I ordered a 41 in Haflinger clogs and they fit better. I love Birkenstock but I think the next time I order closed-toe, I'll go up to 42. Don't assume that the sandal size will be the same in the clog.

These shoes are great. Very comfortable. I am pleased with the color as well - goes with anything.

The top of the shoe seemed short for my size 11 foot. It didn't come close enough to my ankle so it looked a little off and the lack of foot coverage made it feel loose and less secure while walking. This seem like that problem you sometimes get with larger sizes where they shoe bed bigger, but the top portion stays the same from size to size.

Very comfy. My only complaint is that the "narrow" still leaves a normal to slightly narrow foot swimming in the shoe. Length perfect/tts. With socks, perfect.

The color is darker than pictured, but I imagine it will change with age. Other than that, they are heavenly. Soft bed is even more comfortable than the regular bed, which I love. I am a long time Birks owner; they are the best!

Love the shoes...my feet have never been happier. I've finally found something I can wear all day when I have to be on my feet.

This is my second pair of Birkenstocks. I also have sandals. I wear these for work, I used to wear Danskos. These are much more comfortable my feet no longer hurt after standing for long periods of time. I want another pair to wear outside of work.

I've tried a couple of Birkenstock and I really don't get what others are saying about comfort. Even the "soft" footbed is pretty hard. The way people talk you'd think you were going to sink your foot into the shoe equivalent of a Tempurpedic. In the "Boston," the suede strap (that loops through the tongue) rubs against the top of my foot. The suede feels hard from inside. I'm guessing either you have to have coarse hard skin on your feet, or not have worn extremely comfortable shoes, to love these. I couldn't imagine even walking down the shops in them. However I do love the velvet grey color and the style is surprisingly cute, so I was bummed to return them.

I love these and wear them all the time. They are comfortable the minute you put them on. They run a little big and wide, so I bought a 39 Narrow though I wear a 9 and the guidelines recommend a 40.

Really love these shoes! They're more cushioned than regular Birkenstocks. I wear them around the house. Always such a treat to put these on. These run small, so plan to order one size larger than you normally wear in Birks.

Very comfortable and practical. I keep these shoes by the front door so that I can just slip them on and go. (I have the same shoes in suede that I use as my in-house shoes, and they are wonderful for this purpose.) I knit my own socks, and these shoes are perfect, since they fit well with the socks and show off my hard work. I wear a size 8 or 8 1/2 medium width in most women's shoes and the size 39 (regular width) in these fit well, particularly with handknit socks.

Ahhhhhh...The Boston soft footbed is wonderful! Birkenstocks are known for comfort, and in the 35-ish years I've been wearing them, I've experienced their comfort firsthand. As I've gotten older, the classic/regular footbed has felt a bit hard for my feet, so I'm thrilled to have these soft footbed Birks. I first tried the soft footbed in an Arizona style, in a store, a few years back and loved the way they felt, but wasn't in the market for that style, as I already had two pairs of regular footbed Birk sandals in another style. A friend recently let me try on her soft footbed Bostons (after she raved about their unbelievable comfort) and I was sold. After having tried a few pairs of more trendy Oxford-style shoes recently, and finding them uncomfortable, I finally decided to purchase these. So, so glad I did! My foot is probably average width (maybe a tiny bit wider than a foot that hasn't lived a large portion of its life in good, wide-enough Birkenstocks.) I usually wear a 38 regular width in Birkenstocks, which is listed as fitting U.S. women's sizes 7-7.5 (though I usually wear an 8 in other shoes) and these size 38 Bostons fit perfectly with mid-weight socks, like they were made especially for me. The soft footbed is really, really comfy, and has good support. The length is just right, and the black Amalfi leather is solid and sturdy. I tried the black suede as well, and though they were beautiful brand new, they felt a bit floppy, as though they might not be as durable as the smooth leather. Also, the smooth leather can look a tiny bit dressier(?) than suede, so I kept the Amalfi black leather. It's also really attractive. Wore them the first time with a short skirt, black leggings, and funky socks, and they look really cute -- more cute than I remember Boston's looking. Might be the first time I'm seen black leather Bostons, in real life. Pretty spiffy. They're super comfy, well made, and worth the money.

Have had these for a few months. Wear these daily and I love them. Wouldn't trade them for any other ones (except more Birkenstock). They are so comfy. Sometimes you have to pay a little bit more for what you need.
