Excellent fit!

I love the look. However, I ordered my usual size and they were HUGE. So I reordered a smaller size. Average width. Still big and WIDE! I am sorry to say returned the second pair and gave up. (As I didn’t get to wear them, I don’t know about comfort so I opted for 3 stars(in the middle)).

Love these. Very cute. The suede ones are more comfortable than the oiled leather ones.

I have to have a very wide toe box because I’ve worn sandals and been barefoot most of my life, so restricted shoes are not an option for me. The Boston’s have literally the widest toe box I have ever seen. Even without a “wide” width, these sandals are absolutely the widest toe box, with plenty of room for my yogi toes! The soft foot bed is softer than the traditional Birkenstock cork footbed, but it is certainly NOT a Clark’s or anything super cushioned. There is just a very thin layer of cushioning in the footbed. If you are not a typical Berkie and are coming from a very cushioned/orthotic shoe, you will certainly feel a little break-in period, especially if you are on your feet all day. The style is unisex... there’s not much to be said about it. You either like them or you don’t! I think these look best paired with jeans or tie-dye pants. They are perfect for everyday slip-on and run out the door shoes! I certainly wouldn’t wear them for long walks, hikes, days at the theme park, or a 12 hour shift at the hospital. But for kicking around the house, and going out for errands, etc, they are spot on.

Going to try the shearling lined in a size up. These felt slightly smaller than the same size arizonas.

I am a 7.5 or 8 usually. I ordered the 38 regular in the black suede and they were huge in width. Like.. I couldn't walk in them. The length was fine so I exchanged for a narrow (I have never purchased a narrow shoes before. For the record, I think my feet are average width. Maybe a little skinny but idk about narrow). The 38 narrow is great and still roomy enough to wear with socks if I wanted to in the winter. Also, they don't look too clunky with my thin ankles. They aren't uncomfortable during break in and the black suede is not stiff at all but I do think they need a little wear for them to mold to your foot. Anyway, I love them and hope I get years of use out of them!

Perfect!. I have not owned a pair of Bostons for 15 years. Glad I got them. I was a bit concerned when ordering since Zappos suggested a 38 instead of my normal 39. I went with the normal 39 and they are perfect, just like my Arizona's. The only thing that concerns me is how slippery the sole is, not the normal grippy Birk's I am used to but....

I’ve worn these for the past ten years, often daily and always consistently—but they finally needed to be replaced. Rather than reinvent the wheel, as I’m always anxious to try new things, I stayed with the IDENTICAL Birks. I debated this, but Here is my reasoning: Couldn’t ask for a better shoe. It held up well. Super convenient. Super comfortable. Great air travel shoe—or just all around shoe. It’s my house slippers. My casual Shoes. I’ve hiked in them, I’ve kayaked in them. You can dress them up or down. Great with a nice pair of khakis and Oxford short. Great with jeans and a nice sweater. Great with a pair of shorts and t-shirt. The black Suede goes with everything so as much as i wanted to try a different color, I really thought it best to stick with the same color. They wear well. The more you wear them and break them in, the better they look. After ten years, I was still wearing them to church. Still wearing them to appointments. I probably only “cleaned” the suede once or twice. Brushed it out once or twice. That’s it. I just wiped them down when needed dirt/mud/etc. with a soft microfiber rag and they always looked good. I wear these in all seasons too. Thick wool socks and my birks are essential in the fall and winter. Did i mention for a long flight too? Okay, you have to avoid snow for the most part, but you can get through it if you have to. Four seasons shoes. Haha Lastly, the style. Maybe I’m getting so old i don’t know what’s cool anymore—-but I still get compliments on these when they should be considered last decade. Does anyone still wear Eastlands? doc martins? Those ar egrets examples of casual all around FAD-shoes that have all but disappeared. Strangely, these Birkenstock’s seems to endure the trends. Buy a pair and you won’t be disappointed.

I love wearing these clogs. They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn underfoot. However, they rub against my pinky toes, so I will need to protect this area of my foot (I have wide feet). Be sure to waterproof your shoes, because they will become easily damaged by water. Zappos customer service is absolutely wonderful, and I can't wait to order my next pair of Birkenstocks! Thanks as always to Zappos!!

I accidentally ordered the narrow. I need the regular width. The narrow is really narrow. I think I have an average foot. I'm returning the 39 narrow. The 39 regular in sandals is perfect. I'm not sure what the closed toe will do with the soft footbed. I ordered a 39 and 40 regular. Will try both for length and ultimately return one of them. I also didn't like the taupe color. I was hoping for a darker neutral. I ended up ordering black. They'll go with everything and hide dirt better.

I love these shoes so much! I have a large bunion, high arches and I am on my feet for 8 hours a day. My feet don’t hurt at the end of that day and I never knew this feeling existed!!! I personally think these are so ugly, but my coworkers compliment these shoes and I feel like they’re lying haha. Regardless, I highly recommend these shoes. I felt that these shoes are true to size and the sizing exactly matches the sandals.

A classic shoe, classic fit. You can never go wrong with the Boston Soft Footbed. Great arch support. These are my "house shoes," as I cannot go barefoot around the house.

They are a little stiff but I just wear them in the house awhile. They will loosen up and be fine like my other pairs. I got the navy blue suede, the color is very saturated and the suede is soft. I will have these along time.

My feet love Birkenstocks. I wear the most amusing socks I can find with Betula's and I have my Eric Carle Hungry Caterpillar socks on today. Happy Autumnal Equinox. It's sock season!

Comfortable but I just couldn't get past how ugly they are! Too ugly even for slippers.

This style and size are a perfect fit. They’re roomy in the toes and snug enough not to slip around or fall off. VERY comfortable and I can wear them all day long walking around anywhere. Love these shoes!

I have plantar fasciitis on my left foot and theses are the only comfortable shoes I can wear. The longer you wear them the more they mold to your foot. Love!

I'm pleased with the purchase. They fit perfectly and enough room for me to wear socks when needed. I went on the Birkenstock website for the correct sizing guide. I would recommend doing that if you aren't sure how they should fit.

They fit true to size. I love the soft footbed. It does not affect the arch support which is still great. Very comfortable. Fast shipping and received quickly!

These are great Boston’s... always a good Birkenstock choice, especially with colder weather ahead: socks or barefoot. First pair delivered in plain brown box without tags... maybe had been a return to Zappos? Returned for exchange to another pair... and those were fine... I store my Birkenstock’s in their original boxes ... so that was important to me... Zappos always excellent about exchange/ customer service

The mink is such a pretty rich color in suede. These will be a great fall staple with jeans, etc.

I'm somewhere between 9.5-10. I ordered the W10 narrow in this shoe - waaaayyyy too big, and so narrow. They are being returned for the W9 regular.

I like the Boston fitting a bit large... good for socks when cooler weather... tho I can wear barefoot right away

These shoes are amazing! They're super comfy, feel great and easy to slip on and off. I love these shoes!
