This is a great shoe but unfortunately I had to return 3 pairs because each one had what looked like color loss on the top of the foot. I tried to brush it with a suede brush & a fabric sponge but neither helped. One pair that I received had 2 different colors & texture of suede. Birkenstock needs to have better quality control. This isn't Zappos fault.

Ok, I have been trying for the last month to find a replacement for my AnaTech clogs (they went out of business last year). Zappos is super because I must have tried one of every clog they had. Had no idea I was so hard to fit - and there's no real issue with my feet. Finally went to Birkenstocks - resisted because of the historic counter culture vibe - but I'm so glad I decided to get them. These are awesome. Got the black suede - sort of dressy really. I typically wear an 8 so tried the 39 - too big. As were the 38s. Settled on the 37s which fit perfectly (and that surprised me). Love the soft footbed too. If you've been leery of the funky style, don't be - they are super comfortable, super well made - and will last for years! Thanks Zappos for your patience.

I used to wear Birkenstock’s all the time but I damaged a tendon fitness walking and my orthopedist recommended Finn Comforts. They’re great and I have several pairs of the sandals and a few pairs of the clogs but they’re wide on me. I needed a better fit in clogs so I got a pair of Birkenstock’s. I normally wear a 40 narrow in the sandals but I had to go up to a 41 narrow in these clogs. They’re just a little bit big and I wish they were more narrow than they are but with thick socks and with the straps pulled tight I can wear them with jeans and around my house as slippers. They’re very comfortable and really cute. I’m hoping to go on short walks in them too.

I am SO sad to be returning these shoes after 2 attempts at a great fit. I usually wear a 37, but that was slipping around on my foot, so I ordered the 36. My heel came to the very back of the shoe which I wouldn't have minded, but with each step my heel "popped" out of the shoe. Apparently my only option is to wear the larger size with socks which it not the look I was going for. I am sooooo bummed!!!

Fit and size are true to Birkenstocks. The soft footbed is a nice choice. I am very happy with them.

These are super cute shoes and super comfortable. I usually wear a 37 in Birkies, but have to return these for a smaller size as there is way too much room in the heel area. Other than that I'd give them 5 stars across the board.

I love the color and style of this shoe, but I do think that the soft footbed styles run small. I got my usual size 38 and I think I'm going to have to go up a size. I am a size 37 in sandals and a 38 in closed toe, but my heels are very close to the end in these. Ordered a second pair to see if it was just a fluke, but they fit the same. Otherwise, love my Birkies!

Four pairs of Boston Birkenstocks have had scuff marks and defective suede. Unacceptable

I ordered the same size as I normally do in Birkenstocks when I order sandals. I did have to adjust the buckles in order to wear them securely even with socks. I think having a closed-back would help but so far, so good.

This is definitely my go to shoe in the winter. I bought this pair last winter and don’t think I ever wrote a review. (Birkenstocks are also my go to in the summer but in the winter I need a closed-toe shoe.) I get compliments on them although I do not think they are the hippest shoe. Still, Birkenstocks seem to make my feet the happiest. My issue is a growing bunion on my right foot. My only complaint, if you want to call it that, is that they really are the not warmest shoes (even with warm socks). I may go ahead and order the fur-lined (shearling?) pair. Birkenstock makes a quality shoe, well worth the money.

I love Birkenstock! This is my first new pair in years. I finally decided it was time and I am not disappointed. My dog decided one of my older pair would be fun to chew on. Apparently they’re tasty too!

The fit is as expected for Birkenstocks! They are an amazing shoe to wear all day long!

I am a true birkenstock lover of sandals with half a dozen pairs and I really wanted to love this slip ons for the winter, but just didn't. They didn't look good on me, and the feel was off.

I wore Birkenstocks years ago, and had to give them up for a "more polished" look for my job. Now that I've given up that nonsense, I'm back to Birks. They fit almost perfectly right out of the box, and after a day of wearing them around the house they felt entirely perfect. They feel good with and without socks, although I haven't tried them with really thick ragg wool socks- I don't want to stretch them out. The regular width is perfect for my C or D feet, and the arch hits in the right spot. The "night" shade is what I'd call navy blue. I would've been ok with dark purple as described, but the blue goes great with jeans. If these ever come back in red, I'm going to get another pair. I lived in my Mayuri sandals this summer, and these are just as fun and comfy.

I typically wear a size 6.5 - 7 in women's shoes. I ordered a size 37 in these shoes because Birkenstocks run large. I have plantar fasciitis and these shoes feel amazing on my feet. However, they are very wide and I had to tighten the strap as far as it would go because I was having problems with the clog flopping off of my feet like a flip flop. Initially, I was going to return these and purchase them in the narrow size, but I decided to keep them because my feet, knees, hip, and back were killing me and I needed to take Motrin every 4 hours. Once I put these clogs on, the constant ache I felt throughout my body started to go away and for that reason, I decided to keep them and wear them to work. Another small issue is that the black dye used to dye the suede turned my socks black. If you are like me and you have feet problems, I definitely recommend getting a pair of Birkenstocks. Just keep in mind that the regular size is very wide and if you normally wear a medium in shoes you can probably comfortably wear your normal size in a narrow fit.

Fit was fine in general, and they look nice. I want them to wear as slippers and the suede does not hold its shape, so I would not be able to just slide my foot into them (which is what I want), so I am returning them for a leather pair. I also prefer the regular width over the narrow.

Had to order 3 sizes to get the one that felt best. Ordered Narrow 38 , Narrow 39 and regular 38. I kept the 38 regular and they seem to be working. I have found that Birks seem to help my plantar faceitis but I do wish Birks would develop a bit more style!

39 Reg. is the perfect fit for my wide size 8.5 shoe size. I love the suede it's softer than the oiled leather. This is my second pair of Birk clogs. I can wear them for over 8 hrs. of standing at work and my feet don't ache at the end of the day. I feel like it's actually helping my posture & knees being as I am flat footed. I just wish I would have invested in Birkenstocks long ago, my closet would be less full of shoes I no longer wear because they're uncomfortable!

i lie in these shoes. Wear them around the house all the time. I have a high arch and metatarsalgia and these are perfect for those issues.

These are the absolute best shoes for my high arches and neuroma! I wear them as house shoes and at the end of the day my feet can't wait to spend time in these. I even bring them to others peoples home so if they need me to take off my shoes I don't end up in pain.

I got them in my usual size (39) and the Narrow width (I do not have narrow feet) and they fit perfectly. This pair had the softer foot bed and they were comfortable right out of the box. Choosing Birks never fails for me. Love them!
