Love this item. At first I ordered them in narrow unknowingly and they were way to slim. I don’t think I have wide feet but I after trying these I know they’re not narrow. Returned for the regular width and love them. Usually an 8-8.5 and ordered these in a 7-7.5.

For some reason it is impossible to order the Boston style shoe in my size with the normal footbed. It only comes in a "narrow." So I ordered this Soft Footbed style, which claimed to be regular. However, something about adding the soft footbed has made the shoe too narrow. Was looking forward to this shoe as the weather turns cooler. Could we please just have this shoe in the Normal width in the Normal footbed? Thanksyou.

The Boston fit perfect length and width but I couldn’t keep it on my foot because my instep wasn’t high enough even with the buckle on the tightest hole.

I bought and wore these when I worked in a retail store that had concrete floors and wore them with socks. I was mostly behind the counter, so not very many people saw them. I got black in size 38, i am normally a size 7 B/M all other shoes. They served their purpose, close toed and good support, but I wouldn't call them stylish. The big toe end is has a bubble shape that reminds me of the yellow Mickey Mouse shoes.

I am a size 13 for ALL shoes - Ordered 46 - way too large - returned, Ordered 45 - too large - returned, Ordered 44 - perfect fit !!!! FIANLLY These are great shoes - can't wait to break them in - Shocked that they run 1.5 sizes larger than true size

I wear Birkenstock’s all year and ordered these to be my work shoe for fall/winter with a pair of socks. I have plantar fasciitis and with the soft bed don’t have the degree of pain in the morning as other shoes. The arch support is amazing. They are exactly what I wanted. The delivery was super fast and since I’m on the site I’ll order another pair of Birkenstock’s now.

I wear a 7 and got a 38 and the fit is perfect

I wear Birkenstock almost exclusively. I vastly prefer the original footbed to the soft but with fewer and fewer styles being offered with the original decided I would try the soft footbed. I ordered the mocha suede and the mink suede, both in 45, my tried and true size. The mocha felt at least one size larger and when physically compared to the mink and an older pair of boston 45's were visibly longer. I was tripping over them. The mink on the other hand felt more narrow the the "regular" footbed should. I just bought a pair of original Arizonas and the difference was clear. Very disappointed with the lack of consistency in sizing. Additionally, the soft footbed just does not provide the same excellent arch support and heel cupping stability that the original provides. These are both going back.

A bit tricky finding the right size. Some reviewers advise going with a 1/2 size smaller since it is an enclosed shoe rather than a sandal. That didn't work for me because downsizing changes where the arch support contacts your foot. On the other hand, regular width was too wide. What did work was staying with my regular size and switching to the narrow fit. The soft-footbed makes the break-in period a breeze. Please add it to more styles!

These are the 10th pair of Birks in my closet (seven styles: boots, shoes, clogs, sandals). I'd been curious about the soft footbed, so decided on Bostons (my go-to style, even ahead of Arizonas). No break-in necessary, comfortable right out of the box. I wear these for work, as well as evenings out. Happy to have added these to the mix.

They fit well were a touch wide and just a touch bigger than my other Birks. I bought them for work, very comfy and perfect for what I need, the soft footbed feels different but in a good way. This is my third pair of Birks and I love them

These shoes take some breaking in, but once that happens, they’re super comfy.

These are soft and comfortable, like hugs for your feet. However, there's a weird design flaw: in the soft suede material, the cut outs under the strap bend and create a little annoyance. It's subtle, but you'd feel it all day long. Which is too bad, because I loved these.

I wear US size 9.5 Medium. After reading reviews, I purchased 40 Narrow. They are a perfect fit and I love them! Wow, I'm so glad I tried these because I'm so tired of enjoying a great shoe that has been discontinued or revised. The main reason for even considering this was because this style has been around for years and after reading the reviews, I thought if it works, I can keep purchasing more replacements and even additional colors. Can’t stop wearing it!!

My 1st attempt in Birkenstock’s & was expecting the OMG experience. It was far from it. From the moment I put them on I knew I had made a mistake because the leather was stiffer than expected. In the photos this particular style appears to lay more like a suede, very flexible & soft. It cut into the top of my feet like very stiff & rigid cardboard. I immediately got on laptop to print out return label never wearing them more than 3 minutes. I was very open to all I was told about the footbed & prepared to endure about 2-3 weeks of break in time. No amount of time could soften up the uppers.

I ordered a narrow and in my regular shoe size and the fit was right on. This is my second pair of Birckenstock's first was sandals and now clogs and love both probably looking into a third down the road, so comfortable.

I have Birkenstock sandals loved them this is my first pair of clogs and really love them. Great fit, width is perfect so comfortable wear them all the time.

I have not worn Birkenstocks for 30 years. When I use to wear them they never had the soft foot bed so it took longer for them to break in and be comfortable. With the soft foot bed you can wear them right out of the box, This is my first pair of Bostons and I really like the style I love the mocha color as it hides the dirt. I wear a size 6 shoe and I ordered the 35 which they said is equivalent to a 41/2 -5. They are a perfect fit. You do not want them too long your heel needs to be right at the edge of the back of the shoe. Birkenstock's run large and wide so I ordered the narrow and they fit good. Overall happy with the purchase.

I just received my 1st pair of Birkenstock’s at age 56. I’m extremely disappointed. The picture of the oiled Boston appears to have very soft leather, to the point of laying down on itself. The pair I received has material so stiff I’m not even sure it’s real leather! It cuts into the top of my foot so sharp I couldn’t wear them more than 3 minutes. I was told before buying there was a break in period but there is NO WAY I could stand the sharp as knife pain from these shoes. I was really hoping these worked out for me because I have a leg length discrepancy & need a good pair of shoes for summer. Guess I’ll keep trying cause these will be going back! Thank goodness for Zappo’s easy return policy.

First of all, this is my 3rd pair of this style Birkenstocks. I am a size 10 (US). I bought my second pair in Germany and the German salesperson convinced me to get a 45 with a soft bed. To be honest, this was a little big. The 44 soft bed (rated 11-11.5) fits me perfectly. The soft bed is the way to go. The styling is love it or hate it, I love it. The arch support is great and helps me with plantar fasciitis.

My first pair of Birkenstocks. I never purchased a pair because of the lack of style. I was looking for a comfortable shoe I could wear anywhere, slip on and not be a sandal. I typically wear a women’s 10.5 and I ordered the 41 N. The 41 was slight too small so exchanged it for a 42 N. I find the food bed still hard but looking forward to breaking them in!

Love them! This is the first time I have tried the narrow fit, even though my feet are narrow. Perfect fit!

Fit well, they look a little large on the feet but are very comfortable.
