Happy Feet - Recent spinal surgery made it impossible for me to bend and tie shoes, so the hook-and-loop model was designed for me. The fact that the pair also fit and walk well is no less a measure of the success of my purchase. In fact, I may buy another pair soon.

A great pair of sneakers - I love my new sneakers and wear them every day. The toe is high and the arch has good support. The hook and loop is great for someone who has difficulty bending down to tie shoes. Thanks

Perfection Personified. I purchased these shoes for my 92 year old father. My father loves these easy to put on shoes. The Velcro closures are a blessing. My dad says these are the best fitting New Balance shoes ever. Thank you Zappos for having his size, 11 4 E. Finally, when Zappos says they have a particular size in stock, They have it!!

Great walking shoe - This is the second pair of 811's that I have ordered, both from Zappos. I have had the first pair for about a year and use them every other day, using another brand on alternate days. NB 811 is far superior. This time I wanted to try the "Hook-and-Loop" style -- no more flopping strings! Certainly I will order them again. Thanks also to Zappos for the excellent service and quick delivery.

Simply the most comfortable - My husband has very sensitive feet, and he just loves them. They are extremely comfortable.

New Balance MW811 (Hook-and-Loop) - I have been using this shoe for a long time and they are great. The shoes are not hard to break in and since I have very bad feet and this product works so if you need a great shoe try this one.

Stan review- The shoes are very good and comfortable, last a long time and are better than the shoes with laces which can untie at inconvenient times. They are worth the extra money over the other New Balance models.

Great shoe!! Broken arm forced me to get easy to fasten shoes. These shoes are the best for a one-handed shoe tier!! Good looking shoe as well.

WOW! What a shoe! My husband suffers from neuropathy in both feet and lower legs. He has tried a "therapeutic" shoe that costs a lot more that this model and did get some relief. These New Balance shoes were supposed to be to wear daily to keep the more expensive ones looking nice. Guess what- he much prefers these to the more expensive model which he now wears daily. They are a little wider than what he would like but adding a pair of your leather insoles has taken care of that.

New Balance Makes a Wonderful Shoe - The only negative thing I found about this shoe was the appearance made a little sloppy by the oversized fasteners (Hook & Loop). The straps are a little too long, making them droop at the end.

New Shoes - The shoes are very comfortable. I bought them for my father, who has diabetes. His feet swell and he was having a hard time finding the right shoe. He is very happy with this shoe.

Lightweight and comfortable!! These shoes are awesome! They are lightweight and versatile. First, we ordered a pair for my son's dance class; he wears a size 14 4E and it was impossible to find a dance shoe for him. I loved the Velco ease and I needed something quick and easy to put on as I've just recently had ankle surgery. My 87 year old Mom saw mine and wanted her own! Now, she can put her shoes on all by herself!

Wonderful shoes! These great shoes were just what my husband needed! The closures made it so simple for him to put shoes on and they were available in exactly his size (12B) which is hard to find. They give him good support and look good as well. Zappos was wonderful, the shoes arrived at lightning speed and were just as advertised. I will definitely shop at Zappos again!

Big Man's Diabetic Foot Happiness! I received my shoes within a few days of placing my order! I have ordered from Zappos before and have always been pleased with the products and service. This is my second pair of New Balance hook-&-loop shoes; previously I got white as that was the only color available in my size requirements. I need a 4EEEE width shoe, and size 14 in that width is sort of rare. When I saw the shoes in black I decided to order them while available. They were comfortable from the first time I wore them, no break-in period needed. When you are concerned about diabetic foot health, this is an important factor!!! Nice fit, no rubbing, no blisters, just great...

My husband couldn't walk without them! For almost all of his life, my husband was plagued by: broken ankles (3), callouses, lack of padding for his bony feet structure. Since receiving the NB/MW811 H&L style, he says he even feels as if he could walk LAPS!! Finally! A shoe with all the comforts he needs!! Kudos to NB for great shoes and to Zappos.com for super service!

NB MW 811 - I have been pleased with this shoe. I ordered it as a trial since I have never had a hook and loop shoe before. It is comfortable, looks good and is easy to take off and on.

New Balance 811 - I'm finally back into shoes!!!! I am allergic to tanned leather and I've been wearing these polyurethane shoes for 3 weeks!!!!!!

Great Shoe - I bought these shoes for my Dad who now insists upon Velcro. They provide him with the ease of velcro, the support his MD ordered, and the good looks I appreciate. We will definitely be looking to this shoe again in the future.

Great gift! I ordered these shoes (and two other pairs) for my husband. He loves the comfort and Velcro closures since he has arthritis in his hands. He is very pleased with this purchase!
