Love This Shoe - I bought this shoe in black three years ago, and b/c that pair is looking a bit scruffy after three summers of hard wear; I bought another black and a white pair this spring. It's super comfortable, and I receive lots of compliments on it. A woman stopped me in a restaurant the other day to ask where I had bought them.

Stylish & Fun - Great fit, even for person w/ small toes (they go to the end). Like the fact that both straps are adjustable.

Fun and Elegant Sandal - I felt very frivolous when I placed the order for these pricey sandals in GOLD! The joy I feel when I wear them erases any guilt! They are very comfortable, and the gold sandals go with almost anything for our casual seaside lifestyle. They spice up jeans, accent white, and add sophistication to black. They are great with short dresses as well as crops. I'm in my mid sixties with problem feet, and these fun shoes make me feel young again. I ordered them when the shipping time was expected to be several days. An e-mail notified me I had a special shipping rate, and they were on my doorstep the day after ordering. Just in time for the weekend! GREAT SERVICE, ZAPPO!

I have these shoes in 2 colors and I am very happy with them. Everyone compliments them on me. I have very bad feet and these look nice and are comfortable to walk in. I would recommend them to everyone.

So cute and comfortable - This is my second pair of Sydels - one in black patent, now one in silver. I wear a 9.5-10 shoe, the 40 fits perfectly in this style. Very nice with summer skirts and shorts. Very good support for all day wear.

Elegant and comfortable! This is my second pair of Mephisto shoes. I have high arches and these shoes provide very good support. The Sydel is a shoe that can be as dressy or as casual as you make it. The leather is a bit stiff at first, so my feet were sore the first 2 times I wore them, but now they are like putting on slippers. I love them. I bought them in the spice pearl patent which is a beautiful, shiny taupe. The color is better than pictured. As soon as I save some more money I'll buy the silver.

Gorgeous! I had to have these shoes! They are gorgeous. True the straps are stiff at first, but I wore them with socks a few days around the house and now they are conformed to my feet and comfortable. Zappos sent them quicker than I could have driven and shopped at a brick and mortar store.

MY FAVORITE SHOE This shoe was introduced to me three years ago. I added different colors each year. I have the shoes in black, white, red, beige, and I just added pink, silver and gold this year. I have problem feet and this has been a wonderful discovery. I highly recommend this shoe for those people like me that cannot deal with anything between my toes. I am glad that I found a shoe that is just as cute as all those with straps between the toes. Thanks!

Great shoes!!! These are great Mephisto sandals... actually replacing the pair I bought last summer and wore so much that I have decided to "retire" them... often receive compliments as they are kinda cute as well as comfortable... like the color!

What a wonderful, comfortable, cute show! I was introduced to this shoe three years ago when I walked into our local Birkenstock store and saw this shoe in "black" and "white". I had to have both. Since then I discovered Zappos.com and really got in trouble. I ordered my favorite color "red"...the "beige" and last week "pink". I told a friend who is working with me this week from Seal Beach, CA about it when she saw that I was wearing my "black" ones. She immediately ordered a pair and I wore my "red" pair in today and she almost had a fit. The "red" is not offered right now...nor the "green" that I also want. I want the "silver" and "gold" also, but have to try to behave. I may order another pair this year, but am waiting to see if you offer the "green" again. I have crazy feet and hate it so much when winter arrives and I have to put my cute shoes away. I cannot tolerate anything between my toes and all the cutsie shoes have the thing you have to have between your toes. I was delighted to fine this shoe. I now have five pair. Mephisto Sydel - I saw this in Florence, Italy and they did not carry my size. I ordered from Zappos for the first time upon our return from the trip. These sandals are everything I hoped for: comfort, arch support, ability to wear with jeans or dresses for casual or dressy. Zappos service was amazing! Had the shoes in a matter of a couple of days and was able to take them with on my next trip where they worked out perfectly. I may have to order more. I went with the gold to allow for casual or dressy and they are perfect! My only issue is they do not have a back strap.

Cutest Sandal EVER!! I am a huge Zappos fan. They have the best customer service with the best selection of shoes. I have ordered literally dozens of pairs of shoes (and returned a few!) from them and I've never had a problem. Sydel is the most comfortable sandal I've ever worn. It has great arch support and is super comfortable. I usually wear an 8 1/2 wide and the 39 is a perfect fit with the strap adjusted a bit. Thanks Zappos!! Your a treat for us shoe addicts!

Great sandal - I love these sandals! This is actually my second pair of the same shoe. I have worn them so much I wanted another pair. They are super comfortable, give great support and look stylish too. I highly recommend this sandal.

Great shoe - I have worn these shoes for several years... they are so comfortable. I wore them in Paris & pounded the streets for hours.

These are the greatest - I only wear the Sydel style and always receive compliments on them. They are very comfortable and if you have back problems, they give excellent support. Hope there are new colors for spring. I have 7 pairs. Service and delivery is fabulous with Zappos. Don't hesitate to order from them.

Best sandal ever - This is my 3rd pair of Mephisto Sydel. Coping with plantar fasciitis is a pain, but at least in this shoe I'm able to walk for much longer periods of time without any discomfort. I have 2 pair in the white (the first pair I now use for house slippers) and 1 pair in the black. Would definitely buy again, when needed. Zappos has been a great company to order through.

What a great sandal - I wear these everywhere. They go with everything, are very comfortable and I always get compliments.

Mephisto Waltz - I had my foot in a cast for 8 months. Needless to say it was extremely difficult finding a shoe that I could tolerate for any length of time. The Sydel, with its foot pad that molds to the foot, was a perfect solution. The straps loosen over time, but new holes can be made easily. The shoe bed will even mold around your toes for that ahhh feeling when you slip into them. My family knows exactly when I put my Sydels on by my sighs. There is a website that actually will repair your old Mephisto from the soles up, so you'll always keep them!

Great Shoe! This is a great shoe. Looks good, felt true to size. Can be dressed up or down. I have two pairs and will purchase more.

Mephisto Sydel - Cute and fabulous arch support. There aren't many sandals that I have found with good arch support.

Great shoe! I have the orange and the black also - Mephisto needs to come up with a more consistent sizing. I would only order Mephisto on line if I had tried the shoe on or worn them. I have 3 different styles and 3 different sizes. The ones that fit are so comfortable. I have one pair that stretched so much after I wore them that I can't keep them on anymore.

Excellent service + Excellent shoe = happy customer - Like all good Italian footwear/leather, it will conform to your feet. I'm inspired to write in response to the excellent uncomplicated customer service I received. My foot wasn't sitting correctly in the first pair that was sent, and Zappos immediately sent out a new pair that are everything I was looking for in a shoe.

Marvelous Mephisto - I already own a pair of the same shoe and love them so much I ordered a pair for "reserve". If you have never tried a Mephisto sandal, your feet are missing out!

Doesn't stay on foot - Thought I would really like this shoe. Wore it on vacation in Maine, where I was going to do a lot of walking, only to find out it wouldn't stay on my foot, no matter how hard I tried adjusting the straps. My sister got the same pair and had the same problem. Too bad--very expensive mistake. I now only wear them when I will not do too much walking and just want to look stylish.
