A classic - Needless to say, Zappos was perfect, as always. I got those a while ago in Saddle, and yes, you DO need to go at least a half-size smaller. (I ordered 6.5 and usually wear between 7 and 7.5.) I have other Frye styles than the campus (Harness, Engineer) which are more true to size. The Campus boots do require MAJOR breaking in, but then again, the leather is amazing and will eventually be like a mold around your feet. I can say that they are very comfortable now. I wear these shoes in heat, rain and snow, and the more you wear them, the more beautiful they are. Hey, I think I'm going to order a new pair in Black.

These work for narrow feet too! I love these boots. I tried on the dark brown at a department store and HAD to have them. They looked fine on the shelf but when I put them on...look out! They're my third pair of Frye's. In regards to some of the comments, I actually have a very narrow heel and calf but these will fit great as long as you size down because they absolutely will stretch. Ordering a half size down is a must for this Campus model (not for the Harness or some other models that run true to size). I also wore thin socks to avoid the pinky toe issue that's mentioned above. The thicker the sock, the more of an issue you'll have with blisters with a boot that fits well from the start. Once I broke them in, it was a non-issue. Also, I do have a thin calf so there is a little bit of a gap around my calf but not enough to look bad and just right to tuck in my jeans. I've been talking about them so much that, even though they're still wrapped in a Zappos box, the black ones are under the tree for Christmas (thanks, Mom!) Oh, also, I live in Portland and love the oiled leather...they don't get ruined in wet weather.

AWESOME BOOT!!!!! I love my new boots. I wear them about 4 out of the 7 days a week!!! Comfortable too. However I might should have gotten a 7 I got a 7 1/2, but it is doing good just fine, have to wear a thicker sock!!! NO BIG DEAL! Get them!!!!!!!!

Frye Campus 14L - These boots are incredible! I've received so many compliments on them and wear them with nearly everything. These boots are so well-made and bound to last for years; well worth the money if you take care of them! I first ordered a 6.5 (I'm typically a 7, but wear 6.5 in current Frye styles) and they were WAY too big. Zappos customer service department was great, sending me another pair overnight to compare fit. Really made everything super easy.

Love the boot!... and I took the advice of other reviewers and went down one half size. (8.5 to 8) They are tough to break in but I know they will be my favorites for years once they soften up. The boot is very well made and will last a lifetime. Second purchase from Zappos...and they did a great job again. Delivery was fast and trackable. Thanks Zappos I will buy from this site again.

Love these boots! I love these boots! I have been wanting a pair of Frye's Campus boots ever since my aunt had a pair in the 70's (she still has them). And then when they came out in black, I had to buy them. They are very comfortable, stylish and go with skirts and pants. I know I will live in these all winter. I wear an 8 in boots with socks, I ordered a 7.5 and they fit perfectly.

Love my boots!! I recently purchased a pair of Campus boots and when I received them I didn’t like the color so much (sunshine) and they were a little big even though they were my regular size 7. I contacted Zappos and they were great!! They sent me the Banana color (which I love!) and a size 6 1/2. I wore these boots back in the 70's. I loved them than and I love them now! Thanks Zappos for being so accommodating.

Love the boots! They are a little narrow for my toes - my pinky toes get sore if I walk distances in them. I have wide calves and had to stretch them. They definitely have a break in period, but now I never want to take them off and know they'll last forever.

Love them - I have been stalking these shoes for a few years now. I loved them in the 70's and couldn't wait to wear them again. As always I love to order from Zappos b/c I'm never disappointed - you always have the size and color I need. These shoes are comfortable overall. A little snug at the top (I have athletic calves) but I'm having them stretched and plan to wear them all winter and into the spring!!! I ordered the banana and they are gorgeous!

Great Boot - This boot is very comfortable. I usually have a hard time finding a boot that fits my calf, I am not that large but I am not a teenager either. This fits very comfortable all the war around. The leather is nice quality and breaking in quickly.

Favorite boot! This is my 4th pair of Frye boots and I love them. I have the Campus boots in banana and dark brown. They usually only take one wear to break in and then just keep getting better and better. They look good with skirts or over and under jeans. Feels true to size. Sometimes I need to start with a thin sock till it breaks in and then I can wear anything with them.

Frye Campus 14L - This boot is worth the money spent. I bought the dark brown and since I have received them, I wear them 90% of the time. They go with almost anything and are so well made. They will definitely last a lifetime. I want to get the black ones as well, then I can wear this boot 100% of the time.

Love these boots! These boots are great. You can feel right away that the quality makes them worth the money. They're a bit stiff when you get them, so they take some breaking in. Also, I am usually a fairly wide size 11, but I had to exchange for a size 10, which fits great.

Love, love, LOVE these boots! The Blazer Brown color is a dark chocolate color (very different from the picture online). They look super cute with jeans (tucked in or over) and skirts. They run pretty big - I usually wear between an 8 and a 9 and I bought the boots in an 8 and they fit a little roomy (the 7 1/2 fit fine, but were too tight in the calf). I do have some heel slippage, but I was told that the more I wear them, the less it will happen. I highly recommend these; they're a great boot that won't go out of style!

Best Boots ever! It is truly painful to get through the breaking in period. I went through a lot of bandaids. Order these a half size smaller because they run a bit funny. Once you are through the painful period, you will never take them off. I am so happy that I spent money on something that was actually worth it. The leather is thick - very sturdy. I love them!

Love These Boots - I bought these boots in the dark brown and love them. It took me a couple of days to decide on the color, but now I really enjoy them. And I get a lot of compliments on them. The best boots EVER!!!! These boots are amazing. They look great with jeans, leggings, skirts, and pants and are actually VERY comfortable. Yes, it is quite a struggle to get them on but once they're on they feel great. The heel height is just right and the circumference just allows for jeans to be tucked in. They don't come quite to the knee but a couple of inches below, which is actually very flattering to the leg. I ordered the Saddle color and it is beautiful, not at all too orange as other reviewers have felt. It's sort of a light brown with red undertones and it has a worn in look that is just perfect. The boots appear to be extremely durable and I hope to have them for many years (hopefully worth the investment). As always, Zappos was amazing - I ordered on Wednesday morning and they were here by noon on Thursday.

I am in love - I've been wanting these boots for over a decade and finally broke down and bought them. I have fallen in love! They look incredible. But, I'm not going to lie, they need to be broken in to soften the leather. They rub a bit in places, but who cares? They are worth it!

So Cute! I have been debating over whether or not to buy these boots for a while now - and I finally decided to get them and I'm really happy I did. They are really cute. I bought the banana color and I think they are just a great shade of tan that goes with everything. Thanks to the reviews, I wear and bought a 9 1/2, and the fit is perfect. They're comfy and stylish. I've been wearing mine with skirts and jeans and it all looks great!

Too bad - I ordered these boots, along with the Tina and was so excited to see them arrive in the mail two days later (I'm overseas, so this is really fast). I had to return the Campus though. I ordered the 8, while I am normally an 8.5, and they fit my foot just fine. The problem is my calves are too large for this boot. I am a cyclist and runner and I am always having problems finding boots that fit my calves. They are a nice looking boot, well made, but just didn't fit me. I ordered banana and the color was very nice. They are a little more "cowgirl" than I would have liked, but if that is what you are looking for, this is the boot for you.

These are so cute! Great pair of boots. I ordered the brown and they were a very nice shade. Very rugged, very nice leather. These would last for years and years. Unfortunately for me, my instep is very high, and they were snug across the instep, so I will be returning – reluctantly.

Love these boots! Love Zappos.com! I could not wait to get these boots on and wear them out and about! On their first debut yesterday, I received several compliments, and it's still summer! They were comfortable everywhere, and will be even better once broken in. They were a little snug on one of my calves, but I think I will look into having it stretched, then they will be perfect! I ordered these on a Tuesday afternoon and received them first thing Wednesday morning...shocking and amazing! Zappos rocks and will get my business from now on, as well as my recommendation to others!

TIMELESS CLASSICS - I have wanted these for a LONG time. I debated size, color, and finally settled on my true to size 7 1/2. So glad I did! They are perfection, size and all. They are built SOLID, quality. They will take some time to break in, leather soles and all. Looking forward to the fall, so I can shuffle around in these timeless classics.

Great buy! Many compliments! Love this boot! Took less time to break in than my Frye Harness. I got them in yellow, and it's yellow, for sure. Gotten SO many compliments on them! I have big calves, and they are a bit tight if I pull my socks up over my calves, otherwise just fine. Ordered half size up, and actually broke in the toe box with a hammer! Worked great and helped relax the sides a bit, since my feet run just a little wide. Great supportive shoe for walking in the city instead of running shoes. Will have them forever! Zappos is the best!

Happy - The boots look beautiful and go well with dresses with leggings and jeans. A few notes: they run a half size large than marked. I initially ordered them in an 8 but had to return them for a 7.5. Another issue for me is that the lack of cushioning on the inside of the boot causes the tendons in my toes to stretch in the most uncomfortable way. I’m hoping that if I break the boots in enough, they will get looser and this problem will disappear. Either way, that's not stopping me from wearing them! Very cute!
