Stomping Good - I can not wear regular boots, and have always wanted some. Our trip to Tucson, and going to clubs with my Texas two-steppin' in-laws gave me the boost I needed for the western look. I have had double knee replacements, & haven't danced since. Not only did the boots look sassy, they were comfortable, and I even danced a bit! My feet are wide & problematic, and buying a 9 med. instead of an 8-1/2 wide worked fine. They are heavier than I'm used to, but didn't bother me all night. Recommended.

Great boots, great style, great feel! I love this boot/mule!! They give me a sense of height, sexiness, and feminine power. At first they're not so comfortable, but after wearing them for a couple of hours I found they melted around my feet, and are now some of the most comfortable shoes I own. I don't suffer for beauty! These mules rock.

Boot Lover - I am a purchasing manager of a construction machine rental & sales business in FL. (I am a woman) I walk our lot to check on incoming machines quite often & office shoes just don't hold up in the dusty dirt fields where our equipment is held. Being in FL, my regular cowboy boots are a little much for the heat here in the summer & I wanted to maintain my casual dress look, but loafers just didn't work for me. I fell in love with look of this mule as soon as I saw it. I always read reviews from other customers when I buy online, it's a life saver. I took the advice of the majority & bought the 1/2 size lower with my fingers crossed. I received the Frye mules the next day, tried them on & could not wait to get back online to order another color! These are all I wear to work now. I have gotten soooo many compliments on them. They are wearing great & still have the clean new look to them. They are very well made & I hope to have these for many years. The cost is well worth it. Honestly: You will not regret this purchase.

Bella! After returning the purchase that was a half size smaller than my true size, I found true joy with the whole size smaller. This shoe, even though it looks heavy and clunky, feels and wears like a bedroom slipper. I wear them with out sox (this is Palm Beach) and they feel like buttah.

Coolest and Best Clog Boots!!!! I love these Mules. I get compliments. I feel great. They look great with so many things...and the fit is great. I love shoes and these are my BEST!!!!

Frye Harness Mule - My motto these days are: buy a quality shoe and you get you money's worth and save your precious feet. A very sharp looking bootlet. I haven't worn them out yet but they look really cool on. I especially love clogs and slide in shoes, it's so easy to jump into them and jet. In cowboy or work type boots I usually go a half a size smaller because they are made to wear with heavier socks but I don't wear heavy socks so the half size smaller works for me. So I would say the 7.5 I ordered does fit true to size for me.

Waiting for my size 10!! I tried the harness boot at Nordstrom. I had been on the lookout for Frye boots for 20+ years since I outgrew my old campus boots (B.C. ...before children)...and I fell in love with it and bought it immediately, regardless of the price...now that I have discovered Zappos, I just ordered another Harness boot in the lilac color..it doesn't look too pinkish or purplish in the photo, so I am hoping it is a bit neutral, but I like the more neutral colors anyway. I also ordered a lug boot that the reviews all raved about..Fryes are the boot to stand the test of time..they are so well made..when needed, I will resole them before retiring them, as they are so classic and look so cool with jeans, either tucked in or with boot cut legs, and I would even wear them with a skirt (mid-calf to long)..I am hoping that this mule will become available in a size 10..there were only small sizes. I now see the 9 1/2 but I am afraid that will be too small..maybe I will try one pair, since you don't have to pull on a high legged boot, the smaller size could work...wish me luck..I love Fryes, and I love Zappos..

Frye Harness Clog - Adorable alternative to a full boot on those days where your legs may get too hot (summer.) If you have normal width or long toes I would stick to your normal size instead of downsizing. My pinky's were too squished. Zappos is wonderful with returns and they have great helpful staff. They even called me on the phone! I will always shop with them. They always make it pleasurable :)

Great shoe! I have tried to find a mule like this for a long time. Needing a wide width, or so i thought until I tried the Frye mule. It fits great! I wear an 11 wide with a high arch and was concerned about fit... not to worry! This slipped right on and was comfortable from the first wearing. Even my high instep was accommodated! What a pleasure to get the look and comfort in one shoe!

I love these Frye’s- Yes, it is true, it takes a good 3 times of wearing the boots, but they do break in and they are great. Definitely buy a half size smaller that you usually wear. DO NOT freak out if they do not match each other perfectly, they are so comfortable... I LOVE them.

Beautiful, well-made shoe, but pinches my pinkies! I love the style of this boot, but considered exchanging it for a 1/2 size bigger, since my little toes felt very squished on the sides (I have large toes). I apparently got the last pair in stock that was not a 9, so I either keep them and suffer thru breaking them in or return them and have no mules. :( The inside lining is deerskin, though, so I think they will soften up. I am impressed with the workmanship- just as good as the big Frye’s. The non-slip sole is a nice touch too. Great all year round shoe, and nice for me, who lives in NY and Texas.

Love the look - They look fantastic on!! I feel taller in them and look terrific too. The only thing I find is that the toe area is a bit scrunchy. I think when the wearing in has taken effect, they'll be even better.

These shoes and Zappos are great! Great shoes! So comfortable and easier to get into and out of than the boots. Other reviews indicated these shoes felt larger than sized, but I found that my usual size fit fine. This was my first time ordering from Zappos, and I am very pleased with this site. 110% price protection... and my shoes were here in two days!

Lovely Frye Belted Harness Mule - Zappos is the only place I found this great, funky, good-looking, high quality mule. I could not find it in the color and size I wanted in the retail shops but did find it on Zappos. The shoe fits and feels wonderful. I did not find it to be heavy like one person's review said. It looks wonderful on your feet, too. It's now my weekend staple. I loved the shoe so much the first second it was out of the box that I turned right around and bought my husband the men's Frye Belted Harness boot in Guacho for X-mas.

Great mules- This is the 2nd pair of this mule I own. Had black first and now the brown. They are so comfortable. They fit great and look great on. And being Frye, they will last forever. They are made well; they live up to the reputation of being Frye.

Nice Shoes! I received my Frye mules today and am very, very disappointed that one of the shoes was too stretched out, as if someone with a much larger size foot had tried it on and returned it. The shoe felt like it was very loose and would fall off my foot. The shoe that *wasn't* stretched out, fit great, the color (chestnut) is really perfect. Both shoes were marked 8.5. I ordered a 1/2 size down like other reviewers recommended and feel that this was perfect (normally, I'm a size 9). Zappos is a great website and their customer service is the BEST! Would definitely reorder from them again.

Frye Belted Harness Mule- I must say after reading the reviews… I did order a half size smaller and sure enough they fit perfect...I do not agree that they are heavy… There just a good man made shoe. And I also think that once you get use to wearing Mules you'll feel like your wearing slippers... Good for New England weather. I usually wear a 9 and order an 8 1/2. I got a lot of compliments on these that I'm ordering another pair in a different color… Even the shoe store I go to was impressed... Thanks again for Zappos fast service.

Great Shoe! After reading all the reviews, I ordered this shoe to go with jeans/weekend clothes. It's a very impressive shoe, very well made, and I received many compliments on it. I have a hard time finding shoes that fit this well - I have a very high instep and wide feet and this works wonders. I ordered a half-size down and it fits great. I would definitely recommend this shoe.

Great Workmanship on these. I was impressed with the interior of these shoes. Well made and finished. They felt supportive for mules. They run longer in the stated size. I wear an 11 normally and got a 10. I think I could have even gone to a 9 1/2. I have long toes and there is plenty of room for 'em. I am a B width and these felt good. Just enough room for a mid weight warm sock for winter. For someone with a wider foot, or a high instep they might be a little tight. They are heavy but very stable. Great with jeans.

Comfortable Mule - I first ordered this shoe in a size 7 which is my normal size. I really loved this shoe so ordered it one half size down. Fits great...with or without socks. Looks cool, too!! Not too masculine with nice cords or jeans. I recommend this Frye Mule.
