Sexy but solid, well made boots! I love these boots! But they're so stiff, I didn't realize I could probably have worn a half size smaller. It will take a while to break them in. The back strap can be moved up to hold your foot in at the heel although I don't find I need it. I have wide feet so a smaller size may not have fit. If your feet are narrow or average I would suggest ordering a half size smaller. I think they're very sexy boots and beautifully made. They will last forever.

Get a smaller size - I decided to stay with my regular size since I wanted to wear socks with these shoes. I should have gone a half size smaller because they are still a bit loose even with socks on. FYI, these shoes are pretty heavy. They look great though and I've received lots of compliments on them.

I love the look of these -but there are two things I have to say about the fit. Maybe my foot is on the wider side, but these are surely narrow, so I'm getting a real squeeze on my little toes. Also, these are pretty hard bottoms. I've added a heel pad to help. But I'll suffer a little, hopefully they'll break in a bit, because they're beautiful!

Surprisingly comfy - I bought these shoes specifically for traveling because I wanted something that would match with just about everything. Just after I got them, I went on a two week trip and wore them everywhere. They were so comfy, I never would have guessed they were new had I not known. Love the look and the feel. The one drawback I had with these shoes is that the strap that goes around the back kept slipping down under the heel and started to get beat up from me walking on it. I glued it in place and no problems since.

Nervously, I ordered a half size down, as suggested by the posted reviews. I think (?) that was the right choice... my feet are medium width, and fresh out of the box, these shoes rub slightly on the knuckles of both feet's baby toes. But a half size up would have been too big, and I can tell that the fit will be more comfortable once they break in/soften up a bit. Otherwise, these shoes generate many compliments and they are going to be in heavy rotation among my favorites. Thanks to Zappos for IMMEDIATELY correcting a mix-up in the delivery specs. As always, Zappos customer service was completely stellar on this order.

These mules are really great looking. Perfect with jeans. Great heel height runs slightly big—order a ½ size down. Comfortable.

Cowboy look - In the Frye belted mule is so cute. I love the shoes. They are heavy compared to most shoes but you get used to the weight. I get compliments every time I wear them and with jeans you can't tell they are a slip on mule.

Stretchy - I bought these last year before the full boot was available. It was a mistake because as others have indicated in their reviews, these do stretch a lot. The belt part kept falling down, and I had to add holes to get it tight enough to stay up. They're heavy, too, so they slip off a lot. Nice looking, but get the boot instead! I have the belted harness boot in dark green, and I wear them almost every day.

Not as comfy as they look - Nice look but I think I could’ve gotten a 1/2 size smaller due to the leather stretching, and sometimes I feel like my shoe will fly right off!

Cool boots! Great pick. They are a bit heavy to the hand but not on the feet. Look like awesome boots on without the bulk of the calf part of the boot. Heels are good; I am a big klutz and do great with these! Enjoy!!

Cute, but hard to break in - Very cute shoe- looks great with jeans! Very hard to break in though. I find myself avoiding them and sticking to my Dansko's!

I took a chance & ordered the available 9.5, a half size smaller then my Harness boots, and they are still too big..SO DIASPPOINTED because they look GREAT..they just don't stay on my foot, and I have a substantial foot; I don't know if size 9 would do it, either; it may be that across the instep is a bit wide..

Beautiful- This shoe is really beautiful; however, I'm not sure yet if it's a keeper. The fit is good, maybe a tad loose, (I ordered my normal size.) but it's quite heavy and hard to keep on. I wish I could find this same style in a boot. Now THAT would be a keeper!

Frye's Cute Mule-Boot - Frye makes wonderful boots, and this mule looks just like one except for missing the shaft. They are high quality and everything I've come to expect from Frye, except for the sizing. I wear a size 10, in most other brands sizing as well as Frye's boots. But the size 10 mule was way too big for me. Since Zappos didn't have the 9.5 or 9 in stock, I tried an 8 which was too small. So I would say these shoes definitely run a size large.

A must this season! This is the ideal clog for tapered and boot cut jeans! It is hot, hot, hot!

Frye Boot - Great looking boot/clog.

Nice shoe - I really like the look of this shoe, but since I have a wide foot, they were a little snug at first. After a few wearings, though, they fit pretty well. I like the ease of a clog with the look of a boot a lot!

Frye Mule - This boot clog is very stylish...I love the look. Because of the sturdy nature of the build of the clog, it is not the most comfortable clog I have; give it some time for breaking in. It is, however, the much more comfortable than the boot, which I tried first.

I was so disappointed by they way they felt and looked. I wear a true 7.5M and rarely find anything too narrow. They were extremely narrow and although the size was right , it was truly uncomfortable Though the style was as shown the color was not and it took a lot away from the appeal.

These are simply amazing looking boots! I have had them for three years now. Sadly, I hardly ever wear them because they feel like I am wearing cement boots. I do not like wearing boots (I live in Florida), but when the temperature drops all the way to 60°, I sometimes wear these with jeans. I absolutely love the way they look, but they are definitely not comfortable enough for me to wear all day - or even a few days in a row.

This shoe looks tough and it is! The leather was so hard I couldn't even get my foot it...and when I did, it ran big. I normally wear a 8.5 or 9 and it was about an inch too large.

This shoe looks great with jeans, and is comfortable as long as you don't have to walk all day in them. They are a little on the narrow side, I wear a 7.5 and don't have a wide foot, but I do find them to be a little narrow. and heavy and stiff. I've been wearing them for short periods and I haven't had any foot problems with them. I'm hoping that wearing them for short periods of time will help to break them in. If not I may take them to a cobbler for light stretching. All that being said, I am happy with them. They are well cushioned, provide decent arch support and are well made. I don't think they are any stiffer, or fit any differently than the harness boots.

I bought this in my normal size 8 but it was too big, so I returned it for a size 7.5, and it didn't fit correctly either. I did notice on both pairs, the shoe is substantial(and heavy), and the leather strapping around the shoe is substantial, but the leather adjusting strap is very flimsy. I ended up getting Frye's 'Carson' oxford and they fit like a glove.
