pros: Beautiful harness mule from Frye, classic design, awesome leather. cons: narrow toe box, heavy, No arch support. Even with the cons, I still love the look of Frye boots. Bought my first pair as a teenager!

Very stylish but a very heavy shoe

Gorgeous color and quality, heavy, a bit tight on the edge of my pinky toe.

I loved these out of the box even though they are heavy. I am used to wearing DOCs so no big shock. The leather in chestnut is to die for, style was amazing and size perfect but the instep was too loose for me to hold the shoe on when I walked. Tried with multiple types of socks with no luck. Sadly I will have to return them with a heavy heart. They looked wonderful with my jeans and are otherwise soooooo comfortable.I would have loved to keep them. Thank you Zappos for allowing me to try and return them.

I wanted these to be perfect, I really did. I am a clog wearer but have always loved the idea of owning Frye boots. I gambled and lost a little bit... have never ever spent more than $100 on shoes for myself. That being said, I ended up having to keep them because I didn't truly know the shoe until I wore them around. The back strap slides down even though it is buckled on the last hole, one side ended up scuffing the ground for a couple of hours which damaged the leather strap. They also made my feet sore, only after wearing for 2 hours, I hope they will mold to my feet eventually. They are a little heavy and almost a half size too big. Had I known what they were going to be like after wearing out and about, I wouldve returned before the test drive. Really cute though, I will modify them somehow and make them work.

I love the style, but finding the right size eludes me. I usually wear a size 10½. I need a 9½ for length in these mules. But, a size 9½ is too narrow. But I will keep trying, the mule is fabulous fashion.

These are beautiful shoes. They are well made of quality materials. I love the style, silhouette, colors. They are just the type of shoes that I was looking for to wear with everything from leggings to jeans to skirts (with tights or knee socks!) They are heavy. And a bit stiff to start. But once you wear them the sole becomes more flexible and moulds to your step rather than clunking along. They run about half a size large. I had to size down to a 6½ from my regular 7. Then stretched them to accommodate my wide, bunioned feet. The leather yielded nicely.

Love these! They're very heavy, but I feel like I can take on the world whenever I'm wearing them.

Solid little shoe boot. Somewhat weighty, not a feather-light contender by any means. I like that the back-of-the-shoe harness\/strap easily slides up to act somewhat like the back of the shoe. (I\'m not a clog fan. I like something holding me in. Although there is a small amount of heel inset, but not much.) Great look with bootcut jeans. This is my first pair of Frye\'s and this pair has convinced me to add Frye to my favorite searches. Really good craftsmanship, solid quality. Rugged and durable feel to these.

I loved these shoes! They were just gorgeous and I wanted them to work so badly. But, they were huge on my feet and they felt so heavy. They just weren\'t for me. One thing that really works for me is Zappos! Zappos is wonderful and makes finding the right shoe, on line, so easy. Thank you Zappos!

Love the look of these shoes and have had many compliments on them. However, it did take a long time for them to break in and feel comfortable on my feet. Had to wear them only a couple hours at a time in the beginning because they were quite stiff. I've had these for a few years now and the leather and soles have held up very well. Unfortunately, the buckles on both harnesses broke and I had to have them replaced at a local shoe repair. They were unable to match the original buckles so the new ones don't look as good as I'd like but it was less expensive than buying new shoes altogether. I plan on buying another pair and hope that the buckles aren't a problem with the new ones.

Awesome look, but very heavy - I absolutely loved the look of the Frye's Belted Harness Mule, I had to have them. However, the first pair was too sloppy so I did as suggested and got a size smaller. They fit much better, but I must be honest, I do not think the shoe is very comfortable and they are VERY HEAVY! I hope they break in and become more comfortable because I do love the way they look.

Frye Belted Harness Mule - Nice to have the boot look with jeans while being able to slip these on and off.

This is a terrific looking shoe and it is made in the USA! My only reservation is that it is on the narrow side. I am still trying to break them in. If you have a medium or narrow shoe and are looking for a great shoe to wear with jeans, this is it.

Frye Mule - I love the style of these mules. Recommend ordering a half size smaller than you wear. I found them to be comfortable after worn a couple of time; however, they are a little heavy and take some getting use to. I'll probably purchase them in black. Well worth the money, a quality mule.

Great Shoe - I love the shoe, though it does seem to run big. It goes with everything and workmanship is excellent. I also love the service, I received my order by mail the next day.

Frye Belted Harness Mule - Have had these shoes for 2 years now. Clearly has not gone out of style as the reviews keep coming in. VERY well made as with most all Frye products. It is about a half a size larger then marked and fairly heavy. A great looking shoe with jeans.

Great looking shoe! I ordered 1/2 size smaller as advised by other comments. The length was perfect. The toe box is slightly small, so I recommend wearing thin socks the first few times you wear them.

Sexy but solid, well made boots! I love these boots! But they're so stiff, I didn't realize I could probably have worn a half size smaller. It will take a while to break them in. The back strap can be moved up to hold your foot in at the heel although I don't find I need it. I have wide feet so a smaller size may not have fit. If your feet are narrow or average I would suggest ordering a half size smaller. I think they're very sexy boots and beautifully made. They will last forever.
