An odd fit... I found the proportions of this boot to be completely wrong for me. The shaft of the boot was rather snug, and I have slender legs. Forget about tucking my pants leg inside it. I normally take a 6.5 sneaker, but these boots felt ALMOST a half size too short. I could just feel my toe in the front. At the same time, they were too wide, especially in the heel. I even tried them on with the thickest socks I could find, and my feet still sloshed in them. They are very stiff, and not as "sneaker-like" as they looked. They are also kind of heavy, but they are well insulated. The zipper is also very stiff, but I imagine all this stiffness would ease with wear. Obviously, I will be sending them back. I will add that Zappos did deliver them much quicker than I expected. I am very pleased with the service thus far. I'm sorry to need to "test" their return policy, but I'm certainly glad they have free returns.

I have owned these boots for a year now. They look good, they keep my feet warm and dry. The only issue I have is the ankle. I have to struggle to get my foot past the ankle. Every time. I had hoped it would relax a little over time but a year later it still hasn't. I'm now looking at buying a new pair of boots simply because of the ankle design on these boots. Whoever designed these for Sorel was not thinking straight. These are great in every other way but if it's a struggle just to put them on then they are worthless in the end. If you are thinking of purchasing these boots, really give some consideration to everyone's complaint about the ankle.

Although they look nice, I was somewhat disappointed as they are difficult to put on and are very tight in the heel. Thought they would keep me warm for 4 hours of shoveling, but unfortunately they didn't.

Need warm internal sole, because looks like when external sole is on ice all cold temperature is transmitted inside boot and your foot is in a freezer. We have to go to a store to buy those warm soles to put it inside. How can be possible my $15 DLLs boots from Walmart are warmer than these boots. They are supposed to be for -40; they are like a freezer at -15.

These boots are true to size and extremely comfortable. The zippers are very sticky and half the time I can’t get them to zip. After 2 months they are no longer waterproof. Pretty disappointing.

Didn't fit. I bought these for walking through snow and slush in NYC, but the second they were on my feet they hurt. I think for my feet, the zipper was in the wrong place and caused pain immediately, and were so stiff I didn't think it was something I could work through. Oh well. Ended up with La Canadiennes.
