Does the job - Got the cinnamon - great color. To be used for walking the dog and knocking around. Only complaint is the placement of product tag - if you don’t have knee socks on it abrades your skin. I have a wider foot, so went up a half size and it worked.

I’m a size six, and when I opened up the box I thought I got the wrong size because they look so big. But they where a size 6… I would recommend buying a half a size smaller.

Sorel Waterfall boot - I love the look and style of these boots! I haven't had the opportunity to wear them yet (weather) so I can't comment on their warmth or durability. These fit true to size; however, the footbed has no cushioning at all. I would suggest a Dr Scholl's insert for comfort.

Finally, it snowed- I bought these boots in December anticipating some snow, and it took nearly two months before I could wear them. I ordered a size larger, but find the boot is large in the heel for me so I have to wear thick socks. They are very warm and offer good traction for city wearing and traipsing over snow mounds and on unclear sidewalks. I also ordered the Sorel Snowbird which fits my foot (heel) better. Perhaps the laces on that boot help.

Great winter boot- These are great everyday winter boots. They are comfortable for long walks, on the bike and in the office. I wish the ankle was a bit snugger looking, but this isn't a high fashion boot.

a follow up review - So I have had these boots through the big blizzard over here on the east coast and I would like to follow up on my thoughts. They look GREAT but I find that they don't keep my feet warm for long! I go out in the snow and after a half hour or so, my feet are chilled and uncomfortable. I am usually a 8.5 or 9 and I bought a size 9.5 Maybe I should have gotten a 10 and bought thick wool socks to up the insulation. I find my Ugg boots worn with no socks keep my feet really warm and comfortable, too bad they aren't waterproof! I would have returned these Sorel boots if I hadn't needed to wear them several times already with all this snow.

Little Loose on the top - I just received these boots and living in Boulder, I was able to wear them one day, but not the next (snow melted)...The boots are very, very warm and very comfortable except that they are, for me anyway (and I don't have small calves by any means) loose up on top by my shin. The Left one is looser then the right and so I feel like I'm floating around. I've always owned Sorel's and love them for their warmth and was excited to see such a good looking pair. I am still not sure whether or not I'll keep them, I need to see how they work while snow showing (it's nice to be able to adjust the tightness of the top part to make you feel snug in, but) - they just aren't GREAT! But they are good...

Sorel's Waterfall in Bruno Size 6 - I am generally happy with my Waterfalls. The boot came in 2 days by UPS. The dark brown espresso color looks great. They have been very comfortable with the EXCEPTION that the zippers dig into my calf. I didn't really notice until after I wore them outside. As other reviewers have noted, the zipper is very stiff. For me it's a bit difficult to pull up, especially towards the top of the boot. These boots are not really made for tucking in your jeans. There is not much extra room in the calf area. I normally wear 5.5 to 6, so the 6 were a little big for my feet even with thicker socks. I added Dr. Scholl’s cushioning insoles to make the fit more snug. The boot is very well insulated. My feet are so toasty when I walk around NYC. These boots look like they will last a while.

Very Warm - Love my new boots. Toasty warm! If you have large calves, you may want to stay away from this boot. Mine are slightly larger than average I think and they are snug around the calf (not too tight though). I'm sure they will probably stretch a little. I wear a 9 is most things and got a 9 1/2 and it is perfect.

The ideal boot - I just got these so haven't worn them out in the snow and cold yet. But they look good, while being extremely warm and weatherproof and, importantly, high enough to withstand normal snowfall here in Boston. I was torn between dressy boots and regular Sorels and these seem to meet both needs.

I've had my Waterfalls for one year and I loved them until last week when the zipper broke. I'm going to see if it can be replaced. They are warm and very sturdy in snow and ice. I'm very sorry the zipper isn't as sturdy as the rest of the boot and that it broke a month too late to return. I've ordered the Keen Anchorage Boot that pulls on, to avoid another broken zipper.

I really wanted to love this boot; however, the angled zipper is difficult to zip up. And once zipped, the boot won't accommodate a leg with jeans on it. Seemed very warm, but unfortunately must return.

Strange fit. Hard to get on because the zipper seems to not go down far enough. And once you get it on, it's loose in the heel. Absolutely no arch support.

I just got these boots, and I really like them. They are comfortable and the soles are great. I need boots for a trip to Chicago in the winter and these would fit the bill, but one seems to be at least half a size larger than the other. If I decide to keep them I will order another pair in the same size and hope I get two that match.

These boots are very cute, but the ankle is very stiff making them kind of uncomfortable. I did like how there is fabric behind the zipper so there is no way for anything to seep into the zipper teeth. I did end up returning them because of the stiffness of the ankle.

I loved the look of this boot. Totally utilitarian (waterproof, warm, good tread) but still a good looking, casual boot. Looked great under my jeans as I wore them around the office and my feet had plenty of room once in them, staying toasty warm. Love the Flax color, too. Despite a slight tear in the seam upon arrival, I still would've exchanged for the same pair. But my problem with the boots was with my high arch. Something I didn't even think about when purchasing and no reviews seemed to mention. I think any type of pull-up, zip-up winter boots are going to give me the same issue: too tight on the arch. I had to struggle to pull them on, which didn't bode well. Once on, my arches strained against the top of the boot and it just wasn't comfortable. I think I, and anyone else with high arches, will do best with a boot that laces so I can control the amount of tension against my foot. It's a shame since I really dug these boots and the price was palatable.

I could not get my left foot into this boot. I didn\'t think I\'d get it in at all, it took so long. Once I got it in, the boots just didn\'t feel comfortable. There was something hard pressing against the back of my ankle in both boots. They must go back. I\'m disappointed because I\'ve heard such good things about Sorel. Don\'t know where to go from here.

Order Waterfall boots 1 full size up - I followed the recommendations of reviewers and ordered 1/2 size up from my regular shoe size, but couldn't get my foot into the boot easily. Once they were on, they were definitely still too short. Cute boots, just order up a size, minimum. I'm still waiting for my return sticker too...it's been a couple of weeks. For a first time order, I'll give Zappos the benefit of the doubt as I know they have a service motto, but I would have liked to have had this box out of the kitchen and my payment refunded within a week to ten days.

Cute but too short - My ankles and legs are slim but despite this the boots are a bit tight to zip and didn't ever really zip completely so I wore them partially open. They are cute but a little short in length and not as warm as I would have liked when I wore them to Europe. In addition, the toe box felt like steel. In retrospect I would have gone for a better fitting and warmer boot.

They do the job - These boots are definitely warm and waterproof. I wore them in about 3 inches of snow and nasty slush and my feet stayed dry and warm. Plus the boots looked as good as when I first bought them, even after being dunked in all that water. However, the zipper and top part of the boot are stiff and rub against my leg, and after wearing them all day, my lower calves were pretty irritated. Thus I will only wear these out when it's really wet and snowing, because they're not nearly as comfy as my Uggs for instance. Also, they definitely feel at least a half size too big to me. Overall they do the job, and I'm glad I have them for walking my dog out in yucky weather, but in my opinion they are not comfy enough to wear daily.

Not for wide feet with high insteps - In the midst of a below zero cold snap here, I decided I needed new boots. Earlier this winter, at our local stores, I had tried several pairs that did not have zippers and had no luck; couldn't get my wide, high instep feet down into them. These looked like good, warm boots and I figured the side zip would make them a little easier to get into. Just to be sure I'd have some wiggle room with heavy socks, I ordered a size 8 instead of my usual 7.5. Upon trying them on, however, I was very disappointed. Even with the zipper all the way down, I couldn't even get my foot down into the foot part of the boot. When I held the sole of the boot up to the sole of my foot, I found that my foot was as wide as the outer edge of the boot sole! The length was about the same as another pair of size 7.5 boots I own. My friend, who has narrow feet, tried them on and she couldn't get her foot down into it, either. (Yes, we did take out all the tissue from the toe of the boot.) Still looking for a nice, warm and WIDE boot!

A bit tight - These boots definitely do the job of keeping out water--I've waded through dozens of puddles and never gotten my foot wet. They are also well insulated--my feet stay warm. However, they are tight and stiff and they run a bit narrow in the toebox and in the shank. If you have wide feet or thick ankles, you may want to get another pair of boots.

Terribly stiff and awkward to walk in - I bought these for last winter (aren't they great looking?) and kept them for that season, but they were incredibly stiff, and that stiffness never relented. I probably wore them out only four or five times, and each time they felt so stiff and slippery somehow--my feet felt warm enough, but the boots made me feel so unstable...

Not as comfy as they look! I purchased these boots in hopes that they would be as comfy as they were good looking. I found that they were very tight around the ankle, and not good as a walking shoe. I love the looks, but if you are going for comfort as well, I would look elsewere.
