Earth energy-
The shoe is great... a little wide in the heel. My trainer said the shoe was stiff... but I don't run on a regular basis and works for the gym or a quick run. The center support is quite high and gives you a feeling of rocking which took me a little getting use to... very nice shoe but I might check out a different product when it comes time to reorder but it really is working well.

Earth Energetic -
My first Earth shoes since the 70's. I use them in the gym. They took a few days of getting used to the negative heel, they do help your posture. The heel is a little loose on me, like most tennis shoes.

Great shoe for almost everyone -
I have to say I was quite excited about getting this shoe after reading such great reviews on Zappos. I have had lower back pain for over 12 years and thought these may help. Unfortunately, I'm also required to wear a heel lift due to leg length issues and the negative heel technology just doesn't seem to work with those. Though I must say I emailed the company (Earth not Zappos) and the promptly responded and told me there might be an issue, but I went ahead and tried them anyway. Since I really had to wear them out and about to realize they didn't quite work, so I can't return them, but fortunately my aunt has back pain too and I think they'll help her so I'm passing them on.

Instant Effects -
These are my first experience with Earth Shoes. The difference is instant and remarkable. I wore them for a few hours at a time the first few days because my calves did burn at first! But now I wear them all day at work (at a doctor's office) and they feel wonderful. I stand noticeably straighter and they have excellent arch support. They run slightly small. I ordered a 1/2 size up and they still feel a little snug. Overall, this was one of the best things I've done for my feet (and body!).

Comfy shoe -
Walking in these shoes felt a little odd at first, but they are quite comfortable after a wearing or two. Walking in hilly areas is different; because of the dropped heel, when heading downhill, feet seem to slide forward a bit more than in traditional shoes. I was quite fit when I ordered them, so I have not noticed any miraculous firming of my thighs, but they are good shoes and they didn't cost $250!

Very Cute!
I just got this shoe - I ordered the pink&white, and it's very feminine, yet sporty. I am wearing it around the house to see if I need a larger size or not, it's hard to tell. I can definitely tell that my posture is better when standing and walking in them. They have great cushioning and support, and I need that. I've had 2 foot surgeries, so I don't mess around with bad shoes. I also have a heel spur, so my doctor has always recommended arch supports. This shoe has excellent arch support. I wear a 7 1/2 normally, and with a thin sock, it will probably be fine, but an average sport sock makes it feel a tad small. I'd be curious if anyone who has these could let us know if they stretch out enough with time? It's just where the toes are hitting - not sure if I have enough room, otherwise it seems perfect.

Never better...only if they were vegan -
I love these shoes! They fit me perfectly and are very comfortable. They minimize my back problems and are especially good for running and walking. They are a little weird to get used to; it is like walking up a hill. But once you get used to them, they are wonderful! I would definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone. They are the best shoes I have ever purchased and are worth the money. If I could make one change, it would be to make them vegan.

kimberly -
They are nowhere as unattractive as some of the reviews. They are somewhat large looking when on your feet. I did order a half size larger, overall I think that was a good idea. They are comfortable, but when I exercise (walking)it does take a while to get used to, my calves got extremly tight. No back or ankle problems. You kinda feel as if you are walking uphill all the time in this shoe. I do enjoy wearing them for everyday activities, and using them for exercise is getting easier. They did not rub on the heel area for me. My only complaint was I ordered the pink and white, they sent me the gray and white. I chose not to exchange because I needed my walking shoes quickly.

Love them!
These shoes helped my back soooo much!!
I could note sleep at night due to lower back pain. These shoes relieve the pressure to the lower back. They are fantastic! I'm a nurse so I am on my feet most of the time. It took a good week to get use to them. So start to wear them few hours a day a time. It's true you need to order them a 1/2 size larger. They do look a bit bulky.

Earth's Energetic Reverse Heel Technology -
I ordered the Earth Energetic Sneaker for the Reverse Heel Technology. I was very pleased with the fit . I ordered a half size larger to make sure that I could wear heavy socks in the cooler weather. I have a slightly wide foot and the sneaker was a very comfortable fit. The reverse heel was very slight but I did notice that when I walked I had less back pain. When in NYC I tried the more expensive version by MBT and the reverse heel was more pronounced and you would probably get more of the exercise benefit from it but it ran narrow and also costs twice as much.

This is the second pair of Earth shoes I have ordered and I'll have to return them because they are not soft enough for my feet. They hurt my feet at the back and at the sides and also the tongue is very stiff. I am really willing to try Earth shoes as I have problems with my feet and many people find them really good for walking. So maybe I'll try another model like Laser Vegan, they seem much more softer. But the service Zappos provides is really great, you can return and exchange really easily and it's so important when you order online. Thank you Zappos!

Earth Energetic Review -
Jury is still out whether I like the shoe. I am trying to get over some obstacles like "blisters" right now. I just started wearing thinner socks. My feet are getting used to the arch support. At first they felt weird.

Not good for arthritic joint pain -
I tried this shoe around the house for a good while and every time I wore it, it greatly increased the arthritis pain in my hip and knee.

earth shoes -
I bought these to work in because I would be on my feet all day. They make my feet look bigger than my size 10. A stiff shoe, not very cushy on the soles, so my feet hurt are sore at the end of the day. But on a brighter note, my back feels a lot better.

Not what I thought –
Shoe is a little bulky, ran a little bigger than I thought. Not something I’d wear very much.

Ok -
It's a bit bulky and looks wider than it really is. I don't know if it will get better with time or not.

Earth's Energetic shoe -
Did not like the shoe, I supinate and this shoe does not help. Did not feel conformable in it, and hard on my legs, hamstring, and calves.

Very disappointed in these -
I wanted these shoes to work for me so badly and I was so disappointed when they did not. I don't mind that they look a little clunky, I can put up with that for comfort. I read all of the reviews (lots and lots) before I decided to order them. I have one leg a little shorter than the other one and these shoes made that problem much worse. Because the heel of the shoe drops off at 25 degrees it really pulled on my arches and made them ache. For anyone who, like me, wants to have the whole story before ordering...picture your foot flat on the floor with a rise in the middle for your arch. Then picture your heels dropping off at an angle as if hanging on to the edge of a cliff and then trying to walk like that. It is not natural to walk around on tiptoe and it is not natural to walk around with your heels hanging down below the rest of your foot. You also cannot correct posture with your heels. Your posture begins at your back and continues through the neck and shoulders... not your heels. In short, this shoes sounds too good to be true and that's just what it is. I thank Zappos for its generous return policy and letting me finally giving them a try. Don't expect miracles with this shoe. It cannot do all it claims.

Earth's Energetic -
The shoe doesn't fit well. It is too narrow in the toe. I would have gotten a 1/2 size larger but it is not made in a 10 1/2. I thought I could break them in and they would fit better but they do not. It is a shame to pay so much for a sneaker I can only wear for a short time each day.

Hard to get used to -
I feel like I have boats on my feet. They look and feel huge and it's hard to get used to having my heel lower than my toe in a sneaker. I had Earth shoes as a kid and don't remember it being like this. I wish they were a little smaller...

Cool concept, weird feel -
I like them a lot, but there are times I dread wearing them because I know they will hurt. I also know they are better for me since I have heel spurs. The pain from my heel spurs was replaced with basic "breaking in a new shoe" pain.

My husband recently purchased a pair of Earth shoes, the classic leather, lace-up style, that he absolutely raved about. So I saw an ad for athletic Earth shoes and decided to try some since I needed a new pair of running shoes. The fit was a little strange, kind of wide and loose feeling. But the main difficulty I had was that in the past I suffered from heel pain, diagnosed as plantar fasciitis that came back after wearing these shoes. I'm going to wait for it to resolve itself and then try wearing the Earth athletic shoes again. If the heel pain recurs I will abandon them, sadly, forever. It may be that for me, the lower heel height for walking in Earth shoes may not be possible with chronic plantar fasciitis.

Earth shoe vs. knee problems -
When I first stepped into these shoes, I was excited about the new feel of the negative heel. Unfortunately, this heel was the reason I had to give up wearing the shoes after only two weeks. The drop in my heels as I walked caused my knees to lock slightly. This resulted in knee pain about two weeks after wearing the shoes on a daily basis.

not for wide feet or heel pain -
I have alot of problems with my feet (high arches, foot pain, heel pain) and, based on all of the great reviews, hoped that these shoes would help. First of all, I have a relatively narrow foot, but find that the right shoe is too tight and rubs on the bone on the side by my pinky toe. These shoes have good arch support, and once I got used the the negative heel, I liked it, but I have heel pain in my left foot and found that these made it worse. Unfortunately, these were problems that did not arise until after I wore them for a while (despite alot of wearing around the house to test them out), so it was too late to return them. Also, like other reviewers I found them a good half size smaller than marked (I ALWAYS wear a 6 1/2 and got these in a 7 which feels a teeny bit small). Style-wise, I think they are fine for working out, but definately not a cool-looking shoe.
