Very good sneaker - needs getting used to - If you're not used to Earth shoes, you probably want to get used to them a little at a time, but otherwise, I like these sneakers a lot, and do feel that my posture is better in them. They look just like "regular" sneakers when you wear them.

Earth Energetic - Shoe is true to fit. Comfortable. I find them very comfortable to stand in due to lower heel, but strenuous to walk in. Definitely takes different muscle power to walk in these. They make me feel like I've worked harder.

Love the feel of these sneakers but are my least favorite Earth shoe in my five pair collection. Run real small. Should have returned them but had already worn them outside. Live and learn!!

Comfortable - This was my first pair of "Earth Shoes" and it took a day to get used to the change in walking. They are comfortable; but I have to be careful when standing not to let my hips move forward to compensate for the balance difference. I bought a half-size larger; but found that it wasn't necessary.

Foot and Posture Fixer - First time trying this shoe. Have suffered from plantar fasciitis for years and based upon other Zappos reviews, thought I would try it. Right away, your posture is better and thereby you are breathing better. The feet feel great because the shoes stretch your calves. Working out takes a bit getting used to, you will have to wear the shoes quite a few times to get into a comfort zone. On the downside, it is a heavy, bulky shoe especially if you wear size 11! There is lots of toe room and the arch support is terrific...no need for orthodics, however, the shoes would probably accommodate them. Would have preferred a narrow width, however, the standard medium seems to run a bit narrower than most medium widths. I've gone through lots of athletic shoes over the past year or two trying to find one that works well for me...this is pretty close to perfect...and thank goodness Zappos handles my returns and purchases with such great customer service.

These are okay - I prefer Pacific - Ordered both styles to try them out. My first order of Earth shoes. Won't be my last!! Got the white/pink to try since many people mentioned liking those. They're cute and a little more feminine for clunky shoes. As many have said, they do seem to run a little small. These are half size larger than my normal and they are too tight. Maybe the full size up would be better. Tried on the Pacifics first and they're just heavenly!!! Same size as these Energetics. Sooo...the Energetics go back and I'll keep the Pacifics. Ordered my husband the Energetic Ks after we read many raves from people with foot, knee, back problems and injuries. He's liking them. Says they're a little narrow, but he'll give them a couple days in the house to see. We both really like the negative heel! Great posture. Namaste!

This shoe takes a couple of times getting used to but once you do it is very comfortable. My only real problem with the shoe is that it is so wide. I am a small person and because of the width of the sole at times I almost feel like I trip over my own feet.

Dont care for sneakers but... I have never like sneakers as they don't fit in my lifestyle but since I had surgery on both feet it was even worse until I found these. Now I where them whenever I am not at work.

Do they help you burn more calories? I have always wondered about Earth's claims that their shoes create an incline, thereby burning more calories. So I tested it! I have a heart-rate monitor that measures distance walked, heart rate, and calories burned. I alternated these shoes with other shoes for several weeks on the exact same 4.5-mile walk, and tried to keep the same pace each time. It seems that I DO burn a few more calories in the Earth shoes, although not 25% more as Earth claims. In regular trainers, I burned an average 412 calories, and in the Earth shoes, I averaged 446 (Fourteen walks for each pair of shoes). HOWEVER: it was much easier to keep my heart rate elevated in the Earth shoes! I spent more time in my "target heart rate zone" (between 124-144 beats per minute) while I was wearing these. So, there you go, in case you were curious. If anyone else has more to share about this, I'd love to hear about it!

Bunion friendly - This shoe allows me to remain comfortable on my feet for 8 hours despite a rather large bunion! I believe the negative heel helps to reduce the pressure up front by the toes.

Negative Heel - This shoe took a little while to get used to but after suffering with recurring plantar fasciitis and lumbar back discomfort-I feel that this shoe corrects my posture and eliminates these aching body parts. Have not walked/ran on the treadmill in them yet but am eager to do so.

Earth Energetic - what a work-out! I am finally used to this shoe, so I can write a review. Please keep in mind these are my first pair of Earth shoes. Not as comfortable or aesthetically pleasing as my Saucony’s, but MUCH better for exercise on my elliptical. They give me a better stride, workout, and balance. I can already see the difference in the back of my legs and other places. :) If you have flat feet, the sides and back of this shoe might annoy you. I wear ankle socks (instead of the modern no-ankle socks) and it fixed the annoyance. Also be careful if your knees are sensitive - the new stride might make them hurt if you don't focus on walking correctly in them (i.e., heel-to-toe). I also find this shoe to LOOK incredibly wide. I feel like a total clod-hopper in these shoes, and I wish they were tighter around my arch because my flat feet need more support than these shoes give because I can't tie them tightly - the side of the shoe digs in to my pinky toe if I tie the front too tightly. Overall, not entirely thrilled, but I believe the shoe is doing great things for my workout and for my posture, so I will stick with them! By the way: Other websites I have read compare them with MBT shoes (expensive ones marketed as cellulite-reducing walking sneakers) and Earth comes out on top for quality/construction, affordability, and workout benefits.

:) First off, I have to commend Zappos on their outstanding customer service. You have made it very easy to come here first to buy shoes. These shoes are very comfortable if you're on your feet a lot, and I'm very glad I took the advice to buy one size up. However, they really work your ankles and calf muscles so I've had a hard time getting used to them when I've worn them for fast paced exercise walking.

Great for back - This shoe has helped alleviate back and neck pain when I walk. The negative heel felt a little too extreme (I have plantar fasciitis), so I put a gel heel pad in them, which still leaves my heel lower and makes them feel great. I'm still hoping that when my feet have adjusted I can take the pads out. The posture improvement is great. I have a very narrow foot and ordered my regular size. They fit great.

Comfortable shoe! The shoes are very comfortable once you get used to them. I usually can't wait to take my shoes off at the end of the day, but I tend to leave these on. I do feel that my calf muscles get a little extra work while wearing these shoes.

Nice substitute for MBTs - I got these after wearing out a pair of MBTs. These are MUCH cheaper than MBTs and while they don't do exactly the same thing they have similar effects on posture and core strength. I like the negative heel, and I find the cushioning on the outside of the heel nice. The toe box is plenty wide enough, though that's in size 9, about the largest size I've ever worn. I wear a 37 in Dansko’s, but the size 8.5 in these squished my little toes in. (The box says a size 9 is equivalent to a 39, which is the size I would have chosen for a walking shoe had I know.) They look fine, no better or worse than any other athletic shoe but much more normal than my MBTs did. I would buy them again.

Throw me off balance when standing still. I love the shoes, the fit is great, and they look good. Being 72, they throw me off balance a little when I'm standing still. For walking they are great. I'm hoping that in time I will be more comfortable with them.

Great shoes - I am a first time buyer of Earth shoes and user of Zappos. I am thrilled with both! I have had my shoes on all day, on the first day; they're that comfortable. I could see and feel a difference in my posture immediately! Service was outstanding too.

I'd like to say first that I really like Earth shoes. I wish they'd come up with some way to make shoes both stylish and super comfy! I appreciate the spacious toe box, but these shoes make your feet look huge, and they fit a little weird because they're so roomy up front. For the most part, I'm very satisfied with these shoes; I'm an over-pronator with torn ligaments in my left ankle, and these shoes make me feel sure-footed. They feel like they run a bit big, but this may just be because they are so roomy in the toe area.

Great shoe... You may need to get accustomed to the shoe, especially when using a treadmill on a steep incline. Other than that, the shoes feel great.

First time buyer of EARTH - I am constantly on my feet in the medical field and suffer with the heel pain. These shoes keep my heels from striking when walking and have made a big difference. They did take a little getting use to and I did order a half size larger due to others reviews and the fit is great! They are a wide shoe so they fit my boxy foot comfortably. I have used Zappos as my shoe store for over 2 years and I absolutely love the quick, and easy service.

A posture improver - Really does make you stand and walk differently. Will take a little getting used to, but I think I will like them.

Earth walking shoe - I like the shoe. I had to take out the insole because my feet were going numb. I don't like the heel part that sits up the back of the shin. Very hard and it hurts but I guess as I wear them it will soften with time. Ordered 1/2 size larger based on other reviews. Glad I did.

Great for teacher - Love them. I just need to be sure I have my heel as far back as possible and lace them to keep it there. I purchased Earth shoes to wear to school last October...They are great. I have a bit of a "sway" back and these shoes do seem to help my posture. When it came time to buy sneakers I descided to get these. Have also been happy with them
