I really do stand straight in these shoes - Glad to have the chance to buy negative sole shoes!

WONDERFUL! I've got to order another pair just like this one! "Energetic" is the perfect name for theses shoes. My legs and back feel great. I am a true believer in the Earth footbed and the combination of the "gel" and footbed is supurb. Back pain is gone and I feel like I can walk or jog forever. They're a MUST HAVE for renewed energy. And THANK YOU to Zappos for such wonderful service.

Perfect - These shoes are great!! The negative heel technology adds an extra kick to an otherwise ordinary workout.

Ugly but VERY comfortable - I really never thought I'd buy athletic shoes in this style, they're really ugly. They make my feet look HUGE. But they're comfortable as soon as you put them on, and I can walk for a long time without getting pain in my knees & hips, as usually happens in other shoes. If you're serious about walking/exercise, these shoes are it. If you're looking for something cute, get Reeboks.

Again, Comfort at Lase - Took me a bit to get used to it...but love it...very comfortable.

These shoes are like a personal trainer - I was originally looking at purchasing at MTB sneakers at more that double the price on another site. But one of the reviews mentioned the Earth shoes, so I looked into them. These shoes have improved my posture, used muscles that I haven't in ages. The result of that is that I have lost about 1 inch off each thigh!! My lower back aches are a thing of the past and I have more energy. I have since ordered the Charm slip ons for jeans and khakis etc., and have my name in for another pair so when they come in I can order them.

Earth Energetic - Earth shoes are wonderful no matter what style. They are comfortable and have helped with my foot and back pain. They also make my jogging more challenging and effective.

Great Shoe!!! This is a wonderful shoe - no 'breaking-in' is required. I highly recommend it for problem feet. The Zappo shipping service is remarkable.

Helped me keep walking longer and faster! I have a bad knee that acts up when I walk on concrete, so I bought an electric treadmill. With my other shoes, my knee still bothered me some. After an initial "getting used to" period of about a day and a half, I can honestly say that I'm using the treadmill longer and faster without ANY knee pain. I highly recommend Earth shoes. In fact, since buying these I have bought 4 more pairs in various styles so I can keep my posture in the proper alignment.

Instant Back Relief! I tried my new Earth shoes at home after a long day and got instant lower back pain relief! I am only using these as walking shoes and every day shoes, so far. Will try at my aerobics class next week to see how they work. So far, I am ready to buy another pair in a different style for work. These are great for relieving my knee pain too. Also liked width and less pressure on ball of foot.

Very Nice! Quite easily the best shoes I've ever had. They are extrememly comfortable and also have decreased my lower back pain in just the few weeks I've worn them.

Finally a sneaker I can wear! I finally am able to wear sneakers again! Because of foot problems in the past year I had been unable to wear any shoes with a positive heel which include all sneakers in retail stores in my area. After many visits to my podiatrist, he told me several of his patients found relieve with the negative heel Earth Shoe. They are wonderful! I have never had such a supportive arch in a shoe or insole and the wide footbed doesn't cramp my toes. The negative heel has enabled me to walk for exercise again without the leg pain and tiredness that I was previously experiencing. Because I am a health care worker and on my feet all day, I am looking forward to ordering a second pair to reserve for work.

Earth Energetic - I have extra narrow feet and the medium width of Earth Energetic should be very wide on me. However, I have been able to lace these shoes tightly - using the second top lace space - and have been quite pleased with their fit in my aerobic classes.

Finally sneakers that fit!! These are the best sneakers I have ever owned. They are compfortable from day 1 and every toe can wiggle, so can you after a long workout. They're great and worth every penny!!

Pain free walking at last! I couldn't believe it! For the first time ,I could do my 1-2 mile walk without any heel or arch pain!It has great arch support;the negative heel helps to stretch the plantar fascia; plus each step is cushioned! I highly recommend this to anyone who has plantar fasciitis, heel pain or is flatfooted like me! I did however need to get a half size larger then my normal shoe size.

PERFECT! Talk about a blast from the past! I wore these shoes in the 70's! Back then I thought they were great but they are even better now! My feet feel wonderful in these shoes. It's true, I stand straighter and the comfort level is beyond excellent! It feels kinda weird at first with the incline of the shoe but not for long. I would highly, highly recommend this shoe if you are looking for a good walking shoe. And, again, kudo's to Zappo's for their EXCELLENT customer service! I got my shoes in two days! I'll always come back to this website, they are perfect!

A Great Shoe - I loved this shoe, but it was a half size too small. They were out of the next size, so I bought the pink trimmed leather/mesh shoe. I love them!

Earth shoes are great - I bought these shoes when they first came out years ago, and wore them until they wore out. Found them again and I have major back problems. They are just the ticket I walked all day Sunday in them and my back never bothered me! What a relief to know that these shoes are still around and not much higher than they were in the beginning. I recommend that if you have problems with your back you buy a pair they are great!!!

Grateful for earth shoes - I received my shoes promptly and put them on to wear around the house! I love them! I can only wear earth shoes right now as I have bone spurs in my heels and a neuroma in the ball of my right foot and the only shoes that don't give me any pain are my earth shoes. This the first pair of athletic earth shoes I have had. I am glad that I can wear earth shoes and don't have to worry about orthotics right now! You have great variety and great service!

Perfect! This is the perfect, cozy athletic shoe. It fits great (I ordered 1/2 size bigger than normal) and it took no more than 1 minute for me to get used to the negative heel. I'm hooked! I'll be buying more Earth Shoes from Zappos.com! Other shoes just aren't acceptable any more!

Saved my mothers posture! My mother has developed a terrible hunch over the last few years. Her back is really hurting her, and her feet swell up terribly. I bought her these shoes and they are like a miracle! She immediately stood up straighter than I have seen in years! Her back pain is greatly reduced and as a result she is exercising more and doing very well. My mother will not wear any other shoe! Plus it just makes people look better when you wear this shoe. You stand taller, and look slimmer and just FEEL BETTER! I recommend Earth shoes to everyone now!

Excellent - The are an excellent pair of shoes, size and width are excellent, but please make sure to break them in or you will get blisters.

Heaven on Earth - Sorry about the poor pun. However, these shoes are perfect for me. I acquired osteoporosis without knowing it, which resulted in 4 spinal compression fractures, the last of which I noticed because it hurt. A lot. And continues to hurt a lot. Even after a vertebroplasty. I could not stand in the kitchen to cook or do dishes for 5 minutes without severe pain. I couldn't walk 1/2 mile without pain. I couldn't stand for more than 5-10 minutes in my classroom without pain. A man I'm seeing accused my footwear of incompetence (not my worn out Birkenstocks!) So to permit peace to enter the area where his mouth was, I ordered two pairs of sneakers from y'all. One was this one. I'm sorry to say my review for the other perfectly competent (I guess) sneaker was not so great simply because I've put these on and not taken them off for weeks. I had remembered Roots negative heels years and years ago, and had like them a lot. So, having only back pain to lose, I tried the Earth negative heel shoes. The real test was the last 4 days. I was at a conference where my room was as far from the convention center as you could get. And the sessions were all over the complex as well. It took a good 10-15 minutes to hike to the various places each time. Plus I hiked over and thru a huge mall and all over Old Town in San Diego. And I climbed 10 flights of stairs in the wind and rain just to see if I could. And my back, which in any other shoes would have had me the back equivalent of comatose the second or third day, is fine as we speak. Did I mention I kept loading up on free textbook samples at the publishers' displays and carrying them back to my room? Ok, the weight did cause some back pain. But not the walking. And even the weight-caused pain is minor and livable. But. There's always a "but". The shoes are hot, especially since they really need socks to be comfortable. So I dashed back to the Earth shoe selections and ordered a sandal. I'm not too happy with it -- the soles aren't as bouncy, the instep support isn't as great, and the tops go right across the bone of my very high instep and rub blisters and generally make moving uncomfortable. But I guess it's too late to send them back since I wore them a day. Becky

It's taking some getting used to, but I'm very pleased! Since purchasing my shoes, I've noticed my posture is much better, plus my thigh and buttock muscles are shaping-up! Also, my neck and shoulders are not as sore. However, my big toes and my lower back gets sore, when I wear the shoes for long periods of time, because they're not used to the negative heel position. Hopefully this will pass after my muscles get used to the shoes. The shoes are cute, but feel a bit bulky, and are not as comfortable as I'd hoped. However, because the posture changes I'm experiencing, I will definitely continue to wear them; and plan to purchase a pair of the casual style shoes with the negative heel.

Earth energetic - I love the earth shoes all of them and I have ordered several they are the best. I will continue to buy them. So glad I found them and your service is excellent--great company to buy from.
