This is the best value that I have found for a leather soled, leather lined classic style available in both black and cordovan.

For best fit and comfort, see your J & M retail store associate. My sales person was able to make minor in-store adjustments to the shoe to optimize the fit for me.

Bought these in black for work, took about a month to break in during which time they were not particularly comfortable. After the break in period they feel like slippers, no issue wearing them all day at the office. Considering buying them in brown as well!

This is my second pair of Melton's with the Optima comfort sole. These shoes are extremely comfortable even in the store! If a shoe feels this comfortable while testing them out in the store setting, imagine how great they are when I get them home.

I had two pairs of J & M shoes for nearly 5 years. Even when the bottom of the shoes started to wear out, my toes never touched the ground because of the special double-layered sole design. J & M shoes are the best I have worn. And I am 56 years old.

Really comfortable shoe that seems very versatile. Looks great with slacks at work or could be shined up and used with a tux. Didn't require much breaking in either.

These are about as zero-risk as you can get when it comes to dress shoes. They will simultaneously set you apart from the clunky, square-toed masses and completely blend in, because they just look right. They're a little stiff out of the box, but they fit well, and you'll break them in soon enough.

I own this shoe in both brown and black. Great style and comfort! I actually wore my black ones in place of the rental tux shoes at a recent wedding. I was comfortable and everyone complimented me on how much better these shoes looked with the tux.
