I bought a second pair, different color. They are very comfortable after you break them in. It is a sturdy shoe that holds up to daily work wear. I still wear my first pair and they are still very comfortable and sturdy. I would recommend them to anyone. A great shoe for the money!

I wear this dress shoe to work every day. This is my second pair of shoes from Johnston & Murphy. I bought my first in 2000. After 2 resoles, I decided it was time to get a new pair. I'm betting these last as long as the first and I won't have to shop for dress shoes again for another 12 years.

I routinely wear this shoe with suits and (with a fresh shine) with a tuxedo. They shine fabulously -- look like patent leather. I have worn perhaps 6-7 pair over 30 years, in both black and borwn. They are long-wearing, take a half-sole and new heel nicely, and are comfortable from the first wearing. I usually discard them when I do something catestrophic -- like a gouge in the leather from my own inattention or clumsiness. Love 'em. Wear nothing else for dress.

This is one of the best shoes that Johnston & Murphy carries. I don't even know I have a shoe on it is so comfortable.

An absolutely perfect shoe for going to work and going out after work. I am a client facing executive dealing with affluent people from all walks of life. Johnston and Murphy is the only shoe company I would trust and these shoes are perfect for my work environment. If you need to dress to impress, but don't want to break the bank, this is the shoe you need.

These are my favorite work shoes by far. This pair seemed a bit narrow at first, but have broke in nicely and are comfortable. People notice the shine and comment about them often.

Love them. The only shoes that actually fit my feet. Had the previous pair re-soled and -heeled annually for 6 years. The "casual" shoes in "Medium" width are too wide in the heel, causing callouses.

After buying several shoes from other manufacturers, I found the Melton Cap-Toe shoe to be a great choice. I bought a 9.5, 3E and it felt great the first time. I am really pleased with the look and quality of the product. I will definitely go back to Johnston & Murphy for my next shoe purchase.

I use this product just about everyday. When I buy a new pair, I use the older ones as "sliders". I slide into them to go and get the paper and other quick things I need to do without ruining my new ones.

I have been buying this shoe for years. It is a great dress shoe, provides good comfort after its break-in and travels well.

These are very comfortable shoes without looking like the cheaper models you will find with rubber soles. They are well made and after having many other JM shoes, I'm sure will last me a long time.

I bought two shoes on this order and these were the most comfortable. I wore them to work the entire next day and my feet felt great.

i am a gsm in a dealer ship i walk a lot these shoes does every thing you want great for every day use meetings diner what ever you want they will work .also looks good with jeans .i have 3 pair 1 pair i have had for 10 yrs still looks new they are pricy but worth the money.

I wear these shoes to work just about everyday. They are very versatile and can be worn with a suit or on casual Friday. I highly recommend them!
