Bought these for work. I got tired of the discount store shoes wearing out in 3 months so I went for the good ones. Got them in my old size (8.5 D) but had to return them for the EE. Zappo's is really fast and easy to work with. Shoes fit great once I got the right size. Been wearing them 10 to 12 hours a day in a manufacturing environment for a year. They just started hurting my feet. The soles are worn almost out (no tread left) but the uppers still look serviceable. I loved the boots, but I'm upgrading to the Titan's based on consumer reviews. Don't like the color of the Titans, but I don't spend all day looking down at my feet. Hoping they are as comfortable as the reviews say.

On the fourth wearing my normally careful husband hit his boot with his CHAIN SAW. Thankfully the steel toe stopped the saw and saved his foot. Would I buy it again? I just did!

This is the first time purchasing this type of boots and I am extremely pleased with these boots. They are a perfect fit. They are extremely comfortable, plenty of padding inside. I am on my feet all day at work and at the end of the day my feet feel great, they don't hurt. I will purchase these boots again.

Have purchased one pair of these every year since they where released. I am a commercial HVAC tech in Chicago area. I wear these year round and they take a beating. I have tried other boots just for a change of pace. Waste of money, paid double and got a brand name not a quality boot. Only reason I replace is for exposed steel toe plate from kneeling. Replace with new and use old for next year around house. For me break in is the key. I use glove oil. I apply and start bending at toe and ankle area. Just like you would break in a baseball glove. I flex the sole at the same time. Seems to allow the boot to break in under controlled environment so in extremes doesn't stress boot. First day as soon as foot pad molded to feet, can't tell them from my old boots.

These boots are amazing. I starting wearing a pair in December 2011 and I am still wearing them. I'm finally going to order a new pair today, but my current pair are really not that bad. I actually just replaced the laces today. Unbelievable longevity, one pair of these or 6 pairs of cheap ones from Walmart? You decide. By the way, I wear these everyday, sometimes 7 days a week doing Electrical construction work.

Great boot! Took about one week to get broken in. Even better when paired with quality boot socks.

Overall these are a great and comfortable pair of boots, but in a wide size the steel toe seems sized a bit narrower than the boot itself and rubs against my second toe. It is not intolerable, but does mean I prefer not to wear them for an entire day.

Very nicely made boot. However, not very comfortable. the front few inches are like any steel toe I guess and very uncomfortable. It feels like your toes are just in a metal box. The rest of the shoe is good and the quality is great but I will try another brand next time looking for more comfort.

Good boots with a strange problem. When I walk in them, they make a clicking noise, and I can feel the bottom of the rubber shifting under me. It feels like one of the tread/grip things is moving. It didn't happen right away, so by the time I noticed they were already dirty. Not a huge deal, but I expected these to be perfect since I spent so much. It is somewhat annoying but they are great otherwise. Hoping it goes away at some point.

I purchased these boots for my husband because he need a good pair of boots for work and he is pleased with them! He said that they are true to size and very comfortable. I would recommend these boots to anyone that is looking for a good pair of sturdy work boots that last!

I got the boots I wanted in the width I needed for a great price. Shipped quickly. Arrived as scheduled,

I was impressed to receive them in two days. Rubbed on my ankles the first week but after pressing the sides with my thumb a few times before I put them on they are comfortable. Kept my feet dry when I got caught on my motorcycle in the rain. I am a satisfied customer and have this website bookmarked.

My son asked for these shoes for Christmas. He works outside many days of the year. He loves these shoes! The fit is perfect, they are comfortable when he is working and his feet don't hurt at the end of the day. He likes the look and the protection the Steel toes give him. If you work (or play) outside in all kinds of weather - these shoes may be just the ticket!

In looking for a steel toe boot,I did a comparison with 6 different brands and Pro was best overall. In selecting a "Steel Toe Boot" I found it better to get one size larger than your actual size. Great shoe great deal!

So far so good, they are worth the price, for the comfort they give. It would be very difficult to go to an infirior comfort. I recommended them.

These boots are great! My husband works at times in cold, wet weather and his feet stay dry, warm and protected. Definitely recommend!

The comfort factor with these boots seems to be "hit or miss". The first pair he had rubbed the back of his heels and just never really felt broken in even after they were worn to the point of falling apart. These boots have all of the job site safety requirements though, and he needed new boots quickly so we repurchased these. First day out of the box and he says they are awesome. No pain of any kind. He's had them on for 12 hours and says he could keep going, no problem. Good sturdy boot, but it may or may not be comfortable. I would recommend wearing them inside for a while before tossing the box.

Best work boots ever! Have bought these three times in a row, at 1-1/2 year intervals. They start out a little snug but quickly break in and fit perfectly.

I work as a contract mechanic for the US Army in Korea. I climb up and down on tanks and heavy equipment all day in cold and hot weather. These boots are great! The insoles last 4 to 5 months and then I have to replace, but the boot stays solid. In hot weather they are still comfortable and in the cold weather there is room to put on thick socks and still fit comfortable. A super boot for any tough working job!

Great boots. Zappos is great they delivered on time like they said. I definitely recommend these boots to people in the trades.

These boots have a hard plastic lining under the soles. The edges of the plastic liner are curved upwards as to wrap around your foot. Even though I ordered the wide sole version, my foot landed right on top of the curved up part- making them unbearable to walk in. So, people with wide feet be aware. This is the first timberland i have to give a bad review on.

The boot is definitely wider than you'd expect; wear thick socks. The toe is nice and roomy. I suggest buying the same size you wear in sneakers (so if you wear a 15 sneaker, instead of a 14 boot, get a 15) and putting an insole in; the regular insole is pretty rough on the feet after a day of work. Of course Zappos always has the best service.
