My first pair of Ariats and love them! I ordered black in my usual size 9 1/2 and they fit true to size. They were delivered yesterday, I wore them all day today and don't want to take them off after 9 hours. I've had problem feet and am a hair stylist so that's a big deal for me. They're so much more comfortable than Frye boots and the price is great too!

I normally wear a size 6.5 but in Ariat I wear a size 6. I put the boots on while cleaning the house and they were broken in within 2 hours. I wore these all weekend with no blisters or sores. I have boney feet so boots usually rub and hurt. These were comfortable and great for working outside. I wore these with basic Hanes socks.

These are my favorite boots that I've ever had. I have them in brown, but will buy the black ones soon to replace my Frye boots because these are so much more comfortable. They took a week or two of wear to really conform to my feet and now I wear them almost every day. There is the perfect amount of room in the toe box. I have run them through all kinds of environments and they're just as beautiful with scratches on them as they were new. I usually wear them with skirts, dresses, and shorts, but they are cute with jeggings too. I have athletic calves and these are flattering on them. Definitely worth the money.

LOVE these boots! I am typically size 8 so ordered the 7.5. They seemed slightly loose so tried a 7. I couldn't even get my foot in the 7 so stuck with the 7.5. soft leather, comfortable, and a very versatile boot. Great quality at a great price!!

Never in a million years did I think I could ever wear cowboy boots. I have checking out and reading reviews for a long time now on many boots, but none seemed like they would fit me or be comfortable enough for me to wear until now. When I opened the box and saw the boots I was like, there is no way these are going to fit me and be comfortable. I WAS WRONG!!! They fit PERFECTLY and were very comfortable right from the start. I bought a half size smaller than I normally would have for a boot from reading the reviews. Even though it was August, I decided to break them in right away. Had no problem with them, even though I have a high instep and lots of pain issues with my feet. I felt like a million bucks and stylish too!

Beautiful supple leather with a comfortable and supportive footbed that Ariat is known and loved for. These boots would be ideal for use in a more rural environment or for working on the land in some way. I live in the city and they don't work out as I wear an 11 and they are a bit overpowering. Great boot, though. Enough room for a sock, no pressure points.

I too have foot issues like several other reviewers here. I took a chance on ordering these boots based on the good reviews and it paid off. When I opened the box and saw the boots, I thought to myself, there is no way these boots are going to fit me comfortably! But to my surprise, they were quite comfortable from the get go. I wore them for two days straight to break them in, not that it really needed it, but I heard the longer you wear your boots, the more comfortable they become. I ordered an 8 wide. I usually wear an 8.5 wide in sneakers. I have always wanted a pair of distressed boots, but with my foot issues, never thought I could. I would highly recommend these boots!

These boots are wonderful. Beautiful and very well crafted. They are classy looking, enough for me to be able to wear them to work at an upscale salon. Very fashionable. Feel true to size and and super comfy and warm when I need them to be.

Gorgeous boots. Left one fit perfectly, couldn't get the right one on over my high arch. I never knew my right arch was higher than my left one. I normally wear a 7.5-8 in other brands and a 7.5 in other styles of Ariat. Will exchange for an 8 and see if that works.

I have always been satisfied with the quality and prices of Zappos. However their customer service was never really experienced until earlier this month. I order a pair of boots and realized the next day I ordered the wrong size. I called and the representative was so friendly and helpful. In the course of it we realized that shopping late at night caused me to make several errors, my mailing address as a good example. She was very kind and corrected the address, tried to rerout the wrong order and set me up with a new order without charging me and additional Pai of boots. Please keep in mind all of the errors were me shopping too late at night. Well fortunately both boots came to my address as our postman knows us well?? I used the simple prepaid return label and shipped back the boots I ordered in error. This was the most pleasant mistake I could ever had experienced and I have told all of my friends about their extreme fantastic customer service. I'll be a loyal Zappos customer forever!

Fabulous boots but run way too big. I ordered 2 sizes smaller than I normally wear in other shoe types and they were still too big. I loved the color, the feel, the way they looked and the height. Debating whether to try going down yet another size or just try something completely different. If you're looking for a classic leather boot with no bells and whistles that looks great with jeans--tucked in or out--and with skirts and dresses for casual wear, I urge you to give these a try. Just consider ordering a few sizes including at least one complete shoe size smaller than your usual size.

Great for large calves! I originally ordered these is my normal size 9, but they were really big on me. Size 8 fit perfectly. I have narrow feet, so be warned that the medium width runs narrow. They are snug and oh so comfortable. I have always had a hard time buying boots because although I am a healthy body weight, I have always had large calves. These are a good height and have a little room around my calves. Can't wait to wear them!

Great boot - not sized smaller than usual. We ordered smaller based on previous reviews, but had to return twice to size up.

Couldn't even get it on my foot. These aren't wide by any stretch of the imagination. (Like that? Play on words?!) Nice boots though. Wish they would have fit. I need boots for the barn.

I have always found Ariat boots to be my best quality footwear, and these proved to be no different. Comfortable, supportive, and good looking. I have these ropers in the laced version in "distressed brown" and I will say that the black leather (the color I have these boots in) ages and takes oil/conditioner much nicer. It also wears much better than the brown. These boots broke in nicely.

Love these boots. Classic, comfortable and good traction. The black is almost dressy and the distressed brown are great for everyday running around. You could not find a better boot. Everybody at work wants some!

I love the Heritage Roper boots. I wanted something practical, durable, and comfortable for horseback riding and these boots deliver all that. They are a bit stiff, but feel better now that they're broken in. I used a leather conditioner on them so they don't look as distressed. There is not a whole lot of arch support, but adequate. Zappos is wonderful, speedy delivery and over the top customer service. I recommend these boots! Not a fashion statement, but good looking and hard working.

These boots are beautiful! Comfortable and just enough arch support. I ordered a half size down and they're the perfect fit. I've worn them with skinny jeans, skirts & dresses.

Love these boots, sturdy, well made, and they fit like a second skin. With Zappos free returns I try out different sizes find the perfect fit. These run large and narrow, so one size smaller and wide worked for me. When in doubt buy the smaller size, they will break in and mold to your foot.

Women's 8.5B Distressed Brown, worn with medium-weight Smartwool socks: -> excellent fit: my L foot is size smaller but there's no slipping on L nor pinching on R. -> inner layered soles adapt quickly for comfort, stability & securing feet of differing sizes. -> comfortable out-of-the-box. -> leather is handsome, sturdy & well stitched, with nicely matched pieces. -> excellent heel support & height; makes for a good back support choice for those with dicey/overworked backs. -> sole is quiet on dry & grippy on wet surfaces. -> slides on/off just like any other close-shanked (cowboy) boot; has functional pull-on straps if needed. -> distressed brown version needs to be waterproofed if you want that functionality (easily done) The combination of insole+heel+foot construction results in the best back support shoe/boot I've ever worn. These are my first Ariats...I get it now. My next boots will be Ariats too, and the ones after that. Bravo.

These were a great surprise; I wasn't looking for this style of boot, but something more equestrian. The price was right, however and the reviews almost all great, so I bought them. They were incredibly comfortable on the first wearing and had no break-in time. Even with problem feet (fallen arches and a bunion), they feel great. They have excellent arch support, hug the ankles and have good room in the toe box. I wore them for two days straight and they felt like they were made for me! I may stretch the part where the bunion hits, which will make them perfect! So happy I bought these.
