So disappointed in Zappos. Again, I need to return shoes. The color is not distressed. The size is off. I have ordered several shoes from Zappos and found them to be returned shoes, shoes with two different colors, and weird sizing. Does Zappos get seconds from companies? I guess Im done with this company. Every time, I do not get what was ordered and its another trip to the UPS store to return them. Come on Zappos....

I have had terrible luck with Ariel boots through a he years. After about a year they start squeaking when you walk. I called the company and was told to put baby powder in them each time before wearing them. I wear Tecovas now but I bought a pair for my girlfriend this year. We will have to wait and see but if they start sqeaking I'm done with ariats forever.

These boots are extremely stiff and the opening is huge. I cannot imagine them ever feeling comfortable.

Needing a nice dress for work , I took a chance on A high roper boot. I love nice shoes and boots for work (Danner, Wolverine, ect..) And I hear how nice these boot feel. NOT for me! Feet are tied , sore , and I feel 100 yr. old the next day ! Worse Money Spent on shoes ever !!!

I own several different pairs of Ariat and ordered these for a simple knock around boot but I couldn't get my foot into the bottom of the boot. I am an 8.5 B and ordered a 9. the design is such that the transition point into the footbed is too narrow to get a foot in all the way. Have to return them, sadly, because I love the style.

I have 3 pairs of the Heritage Ropers in distressed leather all size 7b. They fit great and have worn 2 pair for over 10 years. Recently got another pair & loved them so much I wanted black. I cant even get my foot into any pair size 7b in the black leather. 7.5b is ok, but loose in the heel on all pairs I tried on. What the heck is going on with the black Heritage Ropers? So you ask if the size is true, not in black, & the width? How can I know if I cant even get my foot into them? So I would recommend definitely the Heritage distressed, but not the Heritage Black. And by the way, since you discontinued the stitching on the toe of the Heritage Roper you have lessened the attractiveness of the boot in general so I only wear them for work anymore, except the one pair I do have with the stitching I treasure. I wish I knew you were going to do that as I would have taken better care of them & bought several more pairs while I could. So to anyone that loves their Ariats, buy more than one pair while you can, because you never know when the style will change and you are out of luck.

I purchased this boot not very long ago, the entire back of this boot has started pulling out, it has pulled and separated in several places with very little wear. Very dissatisfied.

I really wanted these boots, they were so cute on, but I had to return the first pair because the stitching was coming apart in the front. The replacement pair they sent - the stitching didn't even match! One was completely different than the other and it was very obvious. I don't know who does quality assurance there but I was really disappointed with these boots. If the stitching matched and wasn't coming apart I would have loved these, but I wasn't about to go through this a 3rd time so I just returned them for a refund. Very disappointed.

I have wide feet and ordered the C, but these were still squeezing my feet - without socks on! Also, they had a manufacturer defect when they arrived. The insole had an annoying big crease at the toe, which I could not get out. Chalk it up to Made in China standards. Returning these promptly.

I noticed another review saying that they could not get the boots on. I have a high instep and could not get them on. They're so nice looking, but guess I can only go with a boot that has a zipper!

Gorgeous boots. Wish I could get them on to see how they look and feel. Not possible. I have a slim foot and ankle, but there is no way I can even try on these boots to see if I like them; my foot will not go inside them (see other poster comments). My other western-style Ariat boots are perfect. Very sad because they are gorgeous, and are of (otherwise) fine quality.

Couldn't get them on - I read the reviews before purchasing. Many stated that they had trouble getting the boots on. Therefore, I ordered a size up. I got the left boot on and it fit great. No matter what I did, I could not get the right boot on - impossible. My right foot really isn't bigger than my left foot, and I have never had this problem before. I was disappointed; they were just what I wanted otherwise. I guess this brand isn't for me.
