I love these boots. I wear them all the time. Didn't have problems with breaking them in. Just need to wear the right type of socks.

These are very comfortable boots. They have padding in them and I can wear them all day long. They look great casual or also dressed up.

Great boot... I thought they would be as comfortable as the 4 pairs of Ariat shoes I own. Sadly, they are not so I had to send them back. My hunt for a comfortable boot continues...

Awesome boot and I've received numerous compliments on it. I usually wear men's boots, so I did have a little adjustment to the fit of the heel but that's on me, not the boot. I've worn them for work and for play, these boots are versatile!

I love these boots! No breaking time needed and I have got so many compliments already! I have to say that Zappos' service is the best!

I have been wearing these boots the past few days and love them. Not much break in needed, and they fit my wide foot. I wear a 7.5 or an 8 and the 7.5 fits well. I think an 8 would have been too big. I think the longer I wear them the softer the leather will be. A bit difficult getting them on at first, but I think as they get worn more, the easier it will become.

I love the pair. The boots are very attractive, and the construction is superior. They will last a long time. Also the tread is good. Zappos policy of shipping for free even, to Alaska, makes them a very good business.

These boots are fabulous! Comfortable right out of the box. I've worn them everyday since I got them, and the leather gets better with each wearing. Again, Zappos is the best....fast, free shipping!!!!

These boots are awesome! I use them for riding and farm work. They were comfortable to wear the first day. No break time was needed. Of course they arrived overnight. Zappos is so cool! I am an 8M and they fit perfectly.

Beautiful boot, great quality. Gave 4 starts on comfort because Left boot is slightly narrower than right boot; never had this problem before, but figure won't be an issue once they are broken in. Will look great with bootcut jeans or skinny jeans. Perfect height boot for petites--tall boots too tall and overwhelm short legs! Love them. Will have them for years. Also, love the rubber sole--very safe!

Terrific daily boot. I was looking for something that wasn't too Western and had a flat heel. This was perfect. I've received lots of compliments.

I thought these would look like subtle cowboy boots. They don't. They look like riding boots. I did not like them and returned them for the "Heritage Western" Ariat. These Ropers have a very stiff shaft making it difficult to bend (I am certain this is intentional for sport, but for me it was annoying). Ariat is a wonderfully made boot brand -- and a great deal! Crazy comfortable with decent arch support and a removable insole...I can hardly believe it is a boot and not a sneaker. I love the quiet non-slip rubber sole. I wear a 7.5 heel and an 8 sneaker normally. The 7.5 Ariat fits correctly. I am very pleased with my Ariat "Heritage Western" J-toes, even if I returned these Ropers.

I love these boots. They're clearly made of high-quality, sturdy leather, and put together well. The look is cute - western, but subdued, so I can wear them with plain skirts to work. The best part so far though is the comfort. The insole is very supportive, and I can spend a long time on my feet in these (not something I can say for most shoes). After an initial break-in period of a few wearings, the leather has softened up and begun to mold to my foot and ankle. At first they were a little tight through the ankle, and rubbed a little there, but as they have stretched and broken in slightly this is way better. These are the boots I pick to wear to work, under or over jeans (plenty of room in the shaft to tuck in pants, even for those like me who usually find boots tight.I wear a 5.5 in most shoes, but ordered these in a 6. Because I ordered a half-size up, they fit best with thick socks. If you plan to wear thin socks or none at all, I would say order your true size. Bottom line, these are sturdy, well-made boots, supportive insoles, comfortable to wear for a long period of time once you have broken them in a tad. Great for work or going out, but I wouldn't hesitate to wear them in rougher conditions or on the farm.

These boots are fabulous. They have instantly become my most favorite boots I have ever owned. I own many Ariat shoes and boots as I have always loved the super-comfortable Ariat footbeds. I live in their boots every winter. The antiqued worn looking color tone of these boots is gorgeous and the fit is super comfortable. The rounded front toe area makes it very comfortable. Therefore, do not order too big a size as they are roomy up front (don’t pinch like some of the more pointy toed boots out there). I like these boots much better than the similar color Frye boots on the market, which pinch my toes and do not have as comfortable a footbed.

Buy These Boots! These are fantastic, comfy boots. The shaft is not as high as traditional cowboy boots, and the roper style heel is low. The heel and sole feel nicely cushioned, and the fit is just perfect. Generously cut so you can wear thick socks. Shaft is big enough for a larger calf, but not so wide as to not fit under your jeans. They are really perfect. Love the distressed brown, but they look darker than they do in the pic on the website. Actually, they look better, you won't be disappointed. Great, well-made, comfy boots for a great price. Get them. Treat yourself!

Attractive boots that would have been comfortable had they not been so narrow, especially on the instep. It's a struggle to even get them on. This is surprising, especially since I have a somewhat narrow foot and I've never had problems with the instep of boots or shoes before. Not sure if they will stretch enough for me to keep them...

These boots did not work for me. Ordered in my usual size but found them to be difficult to get on. My insteps are slightly high so I thought they would loosen up as they broke in. Well, they never broke in and I continue to struggle getting them on and off. The leather in both the foot and shaft is very stiff. Tried oiling them to soften but didn't help. Would not recommend them to anyone who likes supple leather and comfort.

Boot looked very cute on the video. But it was a really basic boot without much styling. It did feel super comfortable - lots of soft support. However, it's going back because it just isn't stylish enough for work.

Nice "go with anything" boots. Very light. Felt like these would be good everyday farm boots. Length felt true. However, for me the instep was extremely tight across the top of my foot. Also, bought in C width and these also felt narrower than C widths of other shoe brands; even the sole width looked very narrow - more like a B width. Returned, as I wasn't sure everything would loosen up enough to be comfortable after breaking in.

NOT distressed at all. Solid brown. Stiff as can be. They fit a narrow ankle. Two weeks after wearing several times: softening up and becoming more comfortable. Good boot. Nothing fancy.

This is probably my 3rd or 4th pair of these boots. I essentially wear them until they are falling apart. I love them. Very comfortable and good for chores around the ranch, but they clean up well for trips to town, etc.

Felt broken in right from the get go...always worried about toe room...there is plenty!

I needed a new pair of work boots and the Ariat Heritage Ropers are perfect. My old ones were too far gone to show size information any more. I'm always a 6, but I have a high arch so need a 6 1/2 in these boots to get my foot down into place. The boots are perfect, just need time and weather to break them in.
