Heavy Clunkers -
Second pair of Brooks shoes I return. They are too heavy and are really clunky. Would be too much to wear all day as an x-ray tech. Are well made and leather is soft but not for me and yes laces are too short. They do run narrow. I got a size larger and wide and they fit just right.

Nice but not great -
This is a good shoe if you do a great deal of walking. I walk on my treadmill an hour every day and these shoes were okay after they were completely broken in. They look terrible, however, very boxy and unattractive. I wear an 8WW and no matter how I lace them, they still slip slightly in the heel. A good shoe but not great enough to buy again.

Works for half-marathon -
I bought these shoes to walk a half-marathon and they worked! I didn't need to break them in (although I did) and they got me through the 13.1 miles in great shape. Very comfortable but kind of big and boxy looking - especially in white.

They are not my favorite work shoe :0(
I am a pharmacy tech...fast-paced job with LOTS of standing, walking at a quick pace (to counter from inner pharmacy) and much pivoting to reach machines etc. to check out customers, meds on shelves, bottles etc., phones and intercom. I was looking for an EXTREMELY comfortable shoe and don't have time to "break them in"...I need soft leather and a shoe that moves with me and supports all morning/day/evening (my shift starts at 10 in the morning and ends at 7 p.m)...so an "all-day" shoe that will still be comfy when my feet swell in the evening. This shoe just isn't it...it wasn't comfortable enough to even make it out of the house to wear to work and I will be returning them. I have stiff fingers/hands from arthritis and work-related repetitive motion injury and these shoes are hard to pull strings to lace up. Least of all, but still important: in person... these shoes are ugly. :0( I want comfy and cute...feminine...These shoes are big clunkers.

Okay, so I got my shoes and I knew they weren't the best looking and I put them on and took off to the store. The comfort of no internal seams was wonderful as I don't wear socks and the seams usually rub. My disappointment came with the heel cushioning. I went to the store and by the time I was done I had that familiar throbbing in my heels. However, this only happens when I wear them on concrete floors like the floors in supermarkets but that was why I bought the shoes - to cushion my heels. No don't misunderstand - they are comfortable and well cushioned everywhere else but there is something lacking in the heel cushioning. It was a disappointment since I do not care for the look of the shoe but decided to bite the bullet and go for the comfort not the looks and they didn't do the job.

Necessary shoes -
As per my orthopedic Dr. that did surgery on my feet I must wear motion control shoes. There are very few choices but the Brooks Addiction Walker is the one that fits and works best for me. I tried another brand that not only did not feel as good, they did not hold up as well. The days of cute little shoes are gone for me and I do appreciate the quality of this shoe. I also have complete confidence in Zappos.

While this is a pretty good shoe and fits to size, I have serious foot problems and find New Balance a better choice. I had surgery years ago for a neuroma and must wear custom orthotics. This causes me to have to buy a wide shoe for a foot with a narrow heel. I find New Balance can be tightened better without my foot feeling as if I've cut off the circulation. Also this shoe was a bit stiff and took quite a while to break in.

Looks like a boat on my feet.
I have no problem with this shoe's comfort, as it feels better on my feet than any other shoe I have. I have lots of foot problems: arthritis, Neuroma’s, tendonitis, neuropathy, and I have had four foot surgeries on my right foot: surgery for three Neuroma’s, and a bunionectomy. I have to wear orthotics for flat feet. The orthotics fit well in this shoe, and I place them under the insole of the shoe and can wear them comfortably. However, this shoe looks sloppy on my feet, although it's a 2A width.

A simple problem -
This shoe looks great, but the tongue is too long. The first time I wore them it cut into my ankle. I solved the problem by removing the laces from the very last hole. They have been very comfortable ever since.

So happy!
This is a great walking shoe/sneaker! I did find it a 'little' tight at first (being used to wearing a cloth/leather style) but now they are just fine. They are comfortable and supportive. I wear orthodics so the support is very important to me. They look great! They go with everything, being all white! (Which only a woman can appreciate)...and several people have told me they make my feet look smaller!!! (Another thing only a woman can appreciate...wearing orthodics I have to order a 'wide' shoe and often they make my feet look well too big and wide. I am very happy with this purchase)!

Brook' Addiction Walker -
This shoe has too much arch support for my flat feet when walking on hard, concrete floors all day. There is not enough padding to absorb the shock of this heavy walking. Good shoe, however, for casual wear.

Great shoe!
These shoes are a little heavy, but they fit really well on my narrow foot. They have very good support - I do 12 hour shifts at work and my feet feel great all day!

I own Brooks addiction 6, which is very comfortable, but not appropriate for work. These Addiction Walkers, while fitting well otherwise, were too tight around my ankles. Comfort is more important than looks, and these are okay. I unlaced the top hole and they were still tight. I've returned them. I am very pleased with Zappos' service, ordered another shoe, and am very happy.

I love my Brooks Addiction Walkers -
I overpronate when I walk (my ankles turn inward) and have knock knees and a bad back (but such a nice personality!) so I need a good sturdy shoe that will correct my structural defects and let me walk all over the place and still feel good.
The Brooks Addiction Walker keeps my ankles where they're supposed to be so I feel good at the end of the day, even after walking a lot in my job and hitting the gym afterwards. I remove the liner and there is ample room for my custom full-sized orthotics.
I have always ordered the shoe 1/2 size bigger than I am but the last 2 pairs I've ordered have a slightly narrower toe box --which looks nice but a little part of my big toes rub against the leather now. I tie the shoes to keep my feet back in the heel ("butterfly lacing") and that helps but next time I will try ordering a whole size bigger.
The Addiction Walkers come in plain white and plain black which makes them easy to wear to work. If they had crazy running shoe colors I would probably not be able to wear them to work.
They're a little heavy I must say but they do a great job! Excellent cushioning when I'm walking on concrete too.

I bought my Brooks sneaker on the recommendation of my sister in law. She sold shoes for quite a while and when she tried on the Brooks sneaker she was very impressed. I decided to try them because I was having trouble with a bone spur and hoped they would help. Although I can't say they helped with the bone spur, they are the most comfortable sneaker I have ever owned and I would certainly recommend them to anyone who asked me about them. I did however have to buy a size larger than I normally do.

Brooks Addiction Walker-
Let me start by saying this certainly isn't the prettiest shoe on the Market.
After wearing them for one day I wasn't so sure I liked them at all. But for the money, I figured I'd give them a few more days. Now that they are broken in, they are an O.K. shoe, but I certainly would not rave about them in the least.
I guess you learn a lesson the hard way... in the wallet.

Comfort work shoes -
The shoes are not pretty. My feet look very big in these shoes, but they fit well and for someone over 65 who is on my feet for 8 to 9 hrs a day. They are just the thing.

Nothing's perfect: 4's instead of 5's -
I've been wearing this shoe for 2 years now. When you have bunions and a hammer toe and need orthotics, it's hard to find a shoe, but this one does it.

I'm used to wearing lightweight running shoes, so these feel kind of stiff and bulky to me. They seem like they're the perfect support shoe for having to be on your feet standing a lot, but I think I like the lightness of my other running shoes better. My family thinks they're the ugliest shoe they've ever seen and are embarrassed when I wear them, but I wear them anyway.

Not as good as the old Addiction Walker -
This shoe is pretty good, but not as stable as the old model. I was dissapointed, however, for stability and comfort it is still the best I've found. So, thumbs up!

Brooks Addiction Walker -
These shoes are used by my wife,at the recommendation of her Doctor, who retrofits custom orthotics to them .This has been ongoing for some time and several pairs of this model have been purchased over the last few years. The latest pair however took a longer than usual time to be broken in to full comfort.

This shoe is very comfortable. It has a bit of a boxy look to it, but I will gladly give that up for comfort. I'm on my feet, about 13 hrs a day, and this shoe is just what I was looking for!

Not the most stylish looking shoe but who cares when you have comfort. My feet hurt all the time but I am finding with this shoe I feel very comfortable in them. They run a bit wide but that's was great for me since I have very wide feet. I will try other Brooks shoes after these.

I ordered this shoe for it's corrective construction (for pronation and with an arch support) and it has been great. The style is chunky, but when your feet hurt everyday, you can sacrifice style.
