Good shoes--and great service! The Addiction Walker is my only shoe; I have major problems getting shoes that fit properly. This one fit the bill. It is comfortable, STABLE to walk in, and wears very well. I have orthotics and they fit into the shoes extremely well.

Brooks Addiction Walker - A great shoe! I appreciate that they come in wide sizes for women. They hold up very well to daily walks with my dogs in moderate hiking conditions.

The best walking shoe ever! I now have this shoe in black & white and my husband has a black pair as well. This is the most comfortable shoe we've ever had. We both wear them for work and for walking/exercising. I'd love to find something more stylish for casual wear that meets the criteria this shoe does. (Our chiropractor recommended Brooks Addictions because of the wide base and once the innersoles are removed and replaced w/ a flat innersole they are the best for your feet & back). Zappos-- best customer service & faster than fast delivery!

Brooks Addiction Walker - I have been wearing these shoes for 6 years & love them. After having foot surgery, these are about the only shoes that I can do any walking in.

Today I am wearing this Brooks shoe in white for the first time. I wear an 11 N which is very hard to find. This shoe needed somewhat of a break in period, on receipt it was stiff. I had to replace the insole with a Spenco insert. After ordering and returning many athletic shoes from other catalog companies at my expense, I have finally found a shoe I can wear comfortably.

Brooks Addictions are a life saver - I have had 2 foot surgeries in the past and found walking to be very painful. I went to so many shoe stores and tried on 100's of shoes. I found the Addictions and have been sold ever since. I have moved to east Texas with no large stores around, and when I found Zappos on line it was the best find ever. Great walking shoe - I really love walking in these shoes. I have Plantar Fasciitis and these shoes make walking pain free. I also have very narrow feet with high arches. It is a true pleasure to find shoes that fit and also feel good. I have previously only bought New Balance and these have now become one of my favorites. They are a bit masculine and heavy looking, but since fit and comfort are more important to me than looks, I really don't mind.

My feet are happy again! My feet have reached the point where they require motion control shoes. Specifically, I'm looking for firm support right in the center of the arch. After very little modification, I find the arch support to be superb. I thought the supplied Brooks footbed was a bit low in the arch, so I took out the footbed and put in an off-the-shelf Dr. Scholl's arch and heel support. Even though that leaves a lot of wiggle room around the toes, there is still plenty of firm support in the arch. (With most shoes, I usually have to compensate for lack of arch support by tying the shoe laces very tight.) I prefer all-black walking shoes, so that I can get away with wearing them when athletic shoes are not normally allowed. I like the pebbled finish of the leather.

I've never spent a lot of money on an athletic shoe but based on the reviews, went ahead and ordered the Addition Walkers. Like another reviewer, the heels and balls of my feet hurt a great deal so I'm always on the lookout for something more comfortable. I wore these shoes for the first time today and have nothing but praise...there was NO breaking in period and my feet never hurt once being on concrete for a full shift. Money well worth spent. And Zappos rocks!

Brooks Walker - I've purchased 5 pairs of walking shoes in one year. Could not wear any of them longer than 2 hours without heel pain. These shoes are GREAT! I can wear them comfortably all day. I highly recommend them.

No more back pain! I've been suffering moderate to severe lower back pain for 2 years. I have wide square feet so I have to buy men’s shoes, usually K. Swiss or New Balance. After reading all the reviews on these shoes I got a pair in black. O My Gawd! To go a whole day without pain (that was the first day). It actually brought tears of joy as I realized my back hadn't hurt all day. For the last week and a half I've been doing a ton of walking around a warehouse on cement floors -- a week and a half without the searing back pains I would usually get. I cannot recommend these shoes enough. I will be getting a white pair shortly. These would be great for nurses, anyone on their feet a lot, and anyone with chronic back pain. Yee hah!! :o) As for size, I can sometimes wear a ladies 10 WW, or a ladies 10.5 W or WW. I got these in 10.5WW and they were perfect, great support, room for the tootsies etc. (and yes, laces that are way short).

Help for my aching feet - I have problems with plantar fasciitis. This is the first shoe I've found in quite a while that helps, not hurts.

Best Walker Ever - I walk for exercise and this shoe is the best I've ever worn. It has comfort, support and looks. The width, double a, is perfect - something I rarely find.

My second pair! This walking shoe fits my 10 Narrow and gives cushioning and support where I need it! I made my first pair last a year--I walk 2-3 miles at least 3 times a week. (I think I'll get new ones sooner next time. I could tell I'd worn them too long.) I plan to stay with the Brooks Addiction Walker for good. I've had foot problems before, but with this shoe I'm cured!!! Well worth the money.

Heidi Says - The Brooks Addiction Walker helped reduce pain in my foot caused by an accident injury and resultant disability. I find I can walk longer with less pain than when I wore Nikes. Although they are a little on the expensive side, I prefer the Brooks shoes over any other.

Prescribed by my orthopedic surgeon - I had pretty extensive foot surgery earlier this year-Didn't put my right foot on the floor for 8 weeks and then was in one of those boots for another 6 weeks. This was the shoe I started to walk in (with custom orthotics) and I'm still wearing them exclusively, and will be wearing them exclusively for another 4 months or so. I have them in white and in black and the right shoe had to be widened to accommodate the swelling in my foot. These shoes have been very, very satisfactory and I've had (surprisingly) absolutely no pain since starting to wear them. My doctor wears Brooks himself (not this particular style) and thinks they're the best.

Great Shoe - I'm on my feet at least 8 hours a day on concrete floors. With high arches, a narrow heel it's always a tough fit. This shoe fits the bill. Lots of support, and a very comfortable fit. I took an extra pair with me on the first day I wore these, never needed them. A really great fitting shoe.

Brooks Addiction Walker - This is a good walking shoe at a good price. I have bought this style of shoe before and knew that it wouldn't need a breaking in period. The arch support and stability are good in this shoe. I often have pain in the ball of my foot, but not when I wear these.

Excellent shoes! I sprained both feet in a fall this spring and none of my shoes gave my feet enough support to walk without pain until I tried these. I have lousy feet anyway - bunions, wide and high instep - so I was especially pleased that these shoes require no breaking in yet give excellent support.

Addiction Walker rocks!!! This is a great shoe. My feet have hurt me constantly in the balls of my foot and heels. Ever since buying and wearing the Addiction Walker I have had no problems. I only wish Brooks made a comparable dress shoe.

Best walking shoe - I bought these shoes based on other recommendations for a vacation I was about to take that included a lot of walking. These shoes were the most comfortable walking shoes I have ever worn! I walked for miles, and never felt any foot or ankle fatigue. My orthotics fit perfectly in them too! Will keep buying them.

The best for my feet - They feel wonderful for my bad feet. This is my second pair in two weeks. Wore them for a week and ordered another pair while I could still get them.

Great Shoe! I have had foot problems all my life, and I never even think about my feet wearing these shoes. Super comfortable, true to size, feeling of stability, lots of cushion--and one can polish them to keep them looking nice. No fabric on the outside to get dirty.

Narrow foot - I have an extremely narrow foot and this is the first "gym" shoe that comes close to fitting. I like the looks and the fit. This is my 2nd pair of Brooks Addiction Walker. The first pair lasted 2 years.
