Good Choice - I ordered these shoes for my husband for his sixtieth birthday and he loves them. He wears them to work everyday. He always goes back to the Rockport shoes. He tried another brand but less than a year later, he needed a new pair of shoes. We will stick with Rockport.

Fits like a dream. I'm very happy with the Rockport Blackville I gave my son for Christmas this year. I was a bit concerned that they weren't going to be wide enough for his foot, but my son told me they fit like a dream. This is a good quality shoe that can be worn with a suit, or with jeans as it's both stylish and causal. It also looks very sturdy and I'm sure it will last a long time. All in all I'm happy to give it five stars.

So Good!! I'm a construction manager and can spend up to 12-15 hours a day on my feet on concrete. These make a massive difference in my ability to "hang in there." Keeps my lower back from screaming at me too. The leather cleans up well also, so you can spiff them up easy enough before business meetings. Rockport makes a pre-oiled sponge for cleaning that I highly recommend. Great shoe!

A MUST - I'm on my feet too often, before the end of the day my feet were in big time pain. After trying all the top brands including Rockport, I was ready to get prescription shoes. Blackville has a very different sole, these are the only Rockport I wear now. I just wish it had a better look.

Rockport the Best - My husband has a short wide foot and has tried many different brands of shoes. Rockport shoes have been true too size for fit and a shoe he can put on wear with comfort with good arch support and not experience tired aching legs at the end of the day. The Rockport Blackville is a great shoe.

Very comfortable - The shoes are great, comfortable as well as providing the support I need for my ankles.

Big feet - I have trouble finding shoes wide and comfortable for work. I wasn't worried about arch support as I immediately took theirs out and put in my old custom inserts. They're sort of boxy but I wasn't looking to make a style statement. Overall exactly what I was looking for. A great buy and a great pair of shoes.

Rockport and the DMX feature - Since I am on my feet most of the time throughout the day I always wanted a shoe that met the standard of Reebok DMX athletic shoes. These fit the mold. They are styled for most any event and have the comfort I was looking for. My closet will be acquiring the other colors very soon.

My new shoes - I haven't bought new shoes in a couple of years. Matter of fact, last time was from Zappos. These new shoes are just wide enough for my wide foot. In a word: perfect!

The comfort of Rockports - Despite having 8 or so pair of shoes that I wear, I have gravitated to these for day to day work. They are extremely comfortable and have a feeling of almost walking on air. Highly recommend.

My favorite Rockport - I ordered several model Rockport shoes along with these, and the Blackvilles in brown leather turned out to be my absolute favorite. Right now they are my best dress shoe for work. I kept a couple other pairs of Rockports as well, but these are the definite best in comfort and fit. I have worn Rockports for a long time, but these latest ones that I have tried have a bounce to them that my previous pairs do not. Whatever the reason, these are a must have for mobile office workers who have to deal with both a professional dress code as well as a hectic day that sends them all over an office building.

Specific consideration with air cushion - This is a great shoe and I would think would be wonderful for someone having to be on their feet all day. I had a specific issue with the air cushion. This is nothing to do with a problem with the shoe. I suffer from hallux limitus and anyone with this issue might find this helpful. The air cushion is wonderful, however during the normal portion of one's gait where the full weight is transferred to the ball of the foot the air cushion gives (as it should) and the ball of the foot moves down into the cushion. This has the unfortunate effect of requiring the big toe to flex up as the ball of the foot moves down. The result is increased pressure on the joint and (in my case) pain. If you don't suffer from this problem, you'll likely find these very nice.

Marketing marathoner - Knee problems have plagued me for over twenty years. I've had three knee surgeries. I'm in sales and marketing, so I get around a lot. I would not be able to do my job without these shoes, the Blackville. Thanks Rockport.

Very comfortable - Air compression system creates a slightly odd sensation, but is extremely comfortable.

These are NARROW? Actually, yes, they are narrow - TOO narrow. There is no doubt these shoes are sharp looking. I got the Tobacco color. Very solidly built as far as I could tell - problem is I had to take my foot out of them pretty quickly 'cause it was getting squished. Felt like they would have offered very nice cushioning. My foot is a 12 B, so I ordered the 12 B. They were too narrow. Amazing. I usually have the opposite problem finding shoes. I am guessing that Rockport is trying to take the middle of the road approach - a "narrow" a "medium" and a "wide" width shoe. If you're in between their definition of narrow and wide - too bad, I guess... I left the stars at 5 on the assumption that they would be great shoes if they fit...

Blackville Review RP - This is a wonderful shoe. I am on my 3rd pair. It's is the most comfortable shoe I have found for working all day on a concrete floor. Also, I wear them hiking and pretty much every where.

Like walking on sunshine! The air cushion feature transfers the pressure from front to back as you walk and stand. Great work shoe! More comfortable than New Balance.

Very satisfied - My second pair of Rockports. Bought to wear as work shoes, but they are comfortable enough that I sometimes wear them with jeans on the weekends. Nothing bad to say about them - it is a solid shoe after 6 months wear. Previous reviewer noted a more 'cushioned' feel than other Rockports - true that.

Long Term Report - I have worn this shoe for about a year and a half with good satisfaction. The air cushions in the metatarsal area blew out long ago and the squeaking stopped, but the shoe is still quite comfortable and has room for orthotics. Nice room for toes. Shoe still looks pretty good and will polish up like new only showing some sole wear at the heel. This is a very durable shoe. It does make my narrow foot look wider. I may buy it again in the future.

Rockin Rockport - These shoes are comfy and sharp looking. Perfect with jeans, chinos, cords, or slacks - great for the outdoors.

What a great shoe! It feels like I'm walking on air. I have very flat feet and the arch support in the Blackville is wonderful. The shoe requires no break-in period. I love it so much I'm ordering another pair in a different color.

Pleasant surprise - A Rockport I hadn't known. Even more comfortable than the others I had owned. Nicer looking and more comfortable (to me!) than SAS; a little less expensive than the Eccos (which I think are higher quality).

Rockport Blackville - I like the looks of the tobacco color and they feel very comfortable. It takes getting used to on the pad of your feet but overall I like them and find them to be very comfortable. I would purchase them again! I walk on concrete all day and this is the most comfortable shoe I have worn.

Great shoe, so far - I need comfortable shoes and these shoes are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, give great support and also look like they will last a lifetime. You can really feel the air cushion in them. It does make a difference. I am a little worried that they will develop a squeak. My only complaint is that they are a little on the bulky side and make my narrow foot look wide. But they do not feel wide and fit great. I think these would be great shoes for uneven surfaces like cobblestones. I am glad that these shoes don't have the metal shank in them that causes metal detectors to go off. Zappos service was fast.
