Overall I love these Keens. I am full-time nomad and travel with just these and a pair of flip flops so they take a heavy beating. I wear them every day, often walk 5+ miles in a day, and am typically carrying my 30 lb. backpack. I have worn them on several long hikes and though I have gotten the occasional blister, the blisters never actually hurt when I'm in the shoes so it doesn't wind up mattering. My only complaint is that the woven tabs (I believe this is the correct name for the part I'm talking about) on the instep have torn up in less than 6 months on the last 2 pairs I've purchased. I realize I am really hard on these shoes, but still...I know people who have worn their older Keen sandals just as hard and still they lasted for years. So I don't know if this is a design flaw specific to the Newports or what, but I'm thinking about switching to the leather Venice style to see if it doesn't hold up better.

I had a pair of knock off Keen's that I loved, but can no longer find. So my quest was on to find a pair of Keen's that would work for me. I tried the Whisper on in several sizes and could not find a perfect fit - my heel always hung over the back just a bit or they were too big. So I decided to check out the Newport. These are amazing. They fit perfectly and are really heavy duty. The whisper's are light and slender on the foot which is nice for every day wear, but the Newport are rugged and ready for trail hiking.

I guess I have low ankle bones, because the straps on these hit my ankle bone it a way that would create blisters very quickly. Too bad because the colors were very nice and the footbed felt like it would be very comfortable.

In this tye dyed color. They look almost as dorky as those foamy clodhopper extruded sponge sandals that were the rage awhile back. Not sure if I am keeping them.

I loved this in the beet color. Like other reviewers said, they really do run a half size small. I ordered them in my regular size 9 and need a 9.5. Unfortunately, they weren't quite wide enough and my arch rubbed on the the spot where the webbing joined the sole on one of the sandals. I thought the men's version might have a slightly wider footbed. I tried the men's version in blue/gray, size 7.5 and love them. I highly recommend this sandal.

Great arch support for flat feet and great stability for over pronators. But I have wide feet and not enough room in toe box. I will try a half size larger.

My daughter let me try her pair of these Keens. I loved them and bought a pair for myself. The are SO comfortable, but also have wonderful support and they are cute, too! I have a high arch, so I have to undo the laces all the way to put them on; thus not a "slip on" shoe for me, but a little tugging is well worth it! I wore them doing gentle hiking and they were great.

Great shoe, rugged, fits well from first wear, protective and comfortable. I gave only 3 stars for 'comfort' only because of one complaint - my pinky toes land in a place where they get irritated and hurt after a short while wearing. it's better with socks on. Don't know if this will happen to all pinky toes or just mine. Without that issue I love these shoes for water, light hiking and casual wear. Well made.

I was looking for summer hiking shoes from Keen; I ordered these, the Owyees and the Venice H2s. These were the winners! They had the best arch support of the bunch. I do wish that the style was a little cuter - I think I would prefer fewer straps and better color combinations, and the shoes make your feet look pretty wide in the toe box. However, comfort won, as it should for hiking shoes. The toe box's width allows plenty of space for your little piggies to stretch out. I am noticing a tiny bit of rubbing on the back of one of my heels, but I am hoping that they just need a little breaking in, especially since I do not see other reviewers' commenting on that issue. I cannot wait to hit the trails with these.

These are a bit tight and that makes them very difficult to slip on and off. There is also something under one of the straps that is rubbing the top of my foot. I'm going to have to return them and try a larger size and maybe a different shoe that won't rub when I walk.

I thought the shoe fit true to size and was very comfortable. My feet are wide at the metatarsals and they fit nicely. However, I am returning them because for some reason, they look like clown shoes. They are comfy once you get them on & adjusted, but it would be nice if it had a Velcro heel strap. These shoes are made in China so never get a 5 star rating.

The shoes are sturdy. They tend to run half size smaller than advertised. Comfortable right out of the box.

I am trying to move away from wearing flip flops as my everyday summer footwear. These Keens have excellent support and more secure coverage, but are still well ventilated and comfy. Their washability is a big plus. I am still getting used to having a snugger fit overall, but I can wear these more places than flip flops. I am trying to pack lightly for a trip to China, so I got two pairs in different colors allowing me to coordinate with most outfits.

Didn't think I would like this color but liked it most out of the others which I returned. Very comfy. Wore in Cambodia to temples and hiking. Not as cool as flip flops, they get a little warm despite the openings. But offer much more protection. The shape kinda reminds me of clown shoes but otherwise they look fine.

Narrower and lighter than my old Keens (2006) but still a great style. Also, snug to begin with but then stretches just a little after a few hours of wear.

These sandals are very comfortable for both the water and the trail. However, after several miles on the trail with a 33 lb. pack, they started to rub the soles of my feet and I had to change to my hiking boots to keep from getting blisters.

I love these as I wear a lot of purple. Just wished they were the same shade of purple in picture. Mine look like they are faded out or been sun bleached.

Great shoe. Needed to order a full size larger than normal size. Do wish the back had a Velcro strap to make getting the shoe on and off easier.

I had foot surgery awhile ago and can no longer wear flip flops or most other sandals. I was pretty much limited to running shoes. These keeps have enough support that I can wear them all day and eve walk a couple of miles in them. They look great and, eve in purple, are fine with most of my casual work clothes. One downside, though. They get very clammy and hot after a few hours wearing them. I fill them up with foot powder and that helps for awhile. Guess that comes from being waterproof.

I ordered Tuesday afternoon, had the next day! Wow. Put them on and took a 3 mile walk...very comfortable wanted to try out the support, I'm on a rowing team, we row 3 times a week, also work with our local rescue squad, feet get wet, but wanted the protection the thick toe seemed to have. I ordered the navy blue, I do love bright colors, but thought this color would not show dirt as much! I think this was a good choice, a bit pricier then what I would typically pay for a water shoe.

I am a rowing coach and bought this shoe to wear to practice. It is perfect for that use. Very comfortable and water-friendly. It felt a whole size smaller than what I wear in dress shoes. Also, the color is lighter than how it looks on line. I can also see that your foot may get sweaty on the rubber bottom.

Absolutely beautiful shoe. Perfect in almost every way too. I am a true size 11 women's. These shoes were really tight. Unfortunately I am returning them because they are too small.

These are very roomy but definitely run small (short). Normally I'm a 7, and I got a 7.5 just to see, and they still seemed too small. Am going to try an 8 (Gasp!). Otherwise love them, super comfortable, surprisingly light for Keens.

After ordering and trying on several pairs of Keen sandals, I settled on this pair. The sandal itself is supportive, but the arch is wimpy. They are true to size for me, 7 1/2 or 38 in a Sanita. The style is clunky. If you want your feet to look "cute", this is not the sandal for you. If you do real hiking, and want a protective sandal, this will work. I only gave 3-4 stars due to the lack of arch support, and "not so cuteness" of the sandal.
