These are going back, to exchange for another pair. I don't know if it's this style or this particular color, the floral pattern, but the leather is way too stiff. My husband actually thought I had bought cheap cardboard shoes! My 4 year old tried them once and would not even try them again. I'm hesitant to try them in the bath because if that doesn't work then I can't return them. I felt a neighbors pair and it was totally different, much softer leather. So we'll try again a with a different color and maybe different style. This is the whole reason I shop Zappos! Easy exchanges and I don't have to go anywhere!

This would be the perfect sandal - if only the strap was not too far in the back. The result is that the foot is pulled off the sole, so there is an extra inch in the front while the heel is hanging over. They are well made and last a long time, but the poor fit made me not buy them again.

I love Salt Water sandals for my girls. I was so excited about the flower print - they are super cute! However, the leather is much more stiff than the solid color leather. I am returning because they rub my daughter's foot and she gets pinched every time she buckles the shoes. Total bummer!

Cute but a little tight on my daughter's feet. Probably would've broken in but the dog got to it before we had a chance.

These shoes did not fit my 6 year old's feet at all. We love both the Surfer and Sweetheart and she has worn those styles for years, but these fit differently. She has a very flat, average width foot and had trouble getting her foot under the straps and said they were too tight. Guess we will stick with the other styles.

sandals were huge and back ankle strap hung loose even the ankle buckle tightened as much as possible. Also, picture shows a buckled strap, and a velcro strap sandal was sent.

Very tight/narrow, difficult to put on because of this but when I finally managed to squeeze my daughter's foot into the shoe it was too long, there was about a full size or perhaps more of shoe. And she fits into other size 2 shoes so this is not sized well. The instructions on the box say to wet the leather so that it conforms to your foot and I would have if it hadn't fit so big lengthwise.

much longer and less support/comfort then the other salt water sandals (sun san surfer). Color is adorable!

These did not work. The top ankle strap is way too high and obviously is not going to work for my girl. It’s so high it doesn’t secure the foot at all, very strange strap placement.

The front unadjustable strap is EXTREMELY tight and low to the footbed. The width was right but there's hardly any clearance and once our daughter's foot was jammed in there it was uncomfortable for her. We've not had this problem with other shoes but maybe she has a less flat foot than most?

These fit well - just a tad room to grow. Unfortunately, one of the front straps broke off the sole the very first time my daughter wore them outside the house! We're exchanging for the same item since she likes them so much, and are really hoping the break was a fluke. We've been getting Salt Water sandals for years without a problem until now. Two stars overall only because it broke on day one.

These shoes run very large. Also my kiddo mentioned that under the foot bed it was lumpy and bothered her foot. The leather strap can be felt on the bed of the shoe.

I was very excited to purchase these for my 5 year old however the straps on the front are so tight she can't even slip her foot in, and she doesn't have wide/big feet at all. Very disappointed, not sure how anyone would be able to fit their foot in there.

I love saltwater sandals for kids. However the rose gold style was really narrow on my 4 year old( with average width feet). She could not wear them for even a second and they left some marks.

These are to narrow for my little girls feet.

I can’t speak to the size and fit as these were immediately returned. Very cheap feeling. No cushion. Inside felt like it would get slippery as soon as her foot got slightly sweaty in summer.

I returned these sandals. I did not find them to be comfortable and did not like the white footbed.

My own difficult-to-fit children wore salt water sandals as youngsters 30 years ago, although the sizing even then ran large. Now my granddaughter loves the colors and the style BUT her usual size was far too large for her, and the next size down was still too large in some places while being too small in others. Thankfully Zappos return policy saved this from being a total loss. Unhappily, these cute and practical sandals will not be part of her wardrobe.

I ordered this sandal in 3 sizes trying to make it work for my daughter. It runs very narrow. Unfortunately, as cute as it is online, we could not get it to work for her foot.

The sandal is super cute, however the leather was too stiff, returning it for the classic soft leather sandals.

Really cute, but there was no way my daughter's arch (not even a very high one) was going to slide under the stiff leather. We're going to try the non-shiny version to see if that works.

If your child (or you) have anything but really flat feet, you will not be able to get these sandals on. They look wider, but the straps over the top of the foot are so flat that there is no room to slide a foot in that has any kind of arch at all. I'm so disappointed because I absolutely adore the vintage look that these sandals have kept forever, and there is nothing else out there like them. My daughter also told me that the straps felt stiff and cut into her when she tried to get them on...so there may be some pain before your little one breaks these in.

I don’t quite understand the enthusiasm about this sandal. I think it’s very average to say the least. There is no arch support whatsoever, the sole is completely flat with no support or bounce. The front straps are tight, my daughter could barely push her foot through and that was on a size too big for her foot actually. I also did not like the positioning of the straps, my daughter said they did not fit tight and secure on her foot. I wanted these to work, but I’m just disappointed. Sending them back.
