Dansko Disappointment - I love the looks of this shoe both off and on my foot, but I cannot wear it due to the location and stiffness of the seam. I have tried both the size 39 which I usually wear and the 40. The 39 was considerably shorter than all my other Dansko 39s. I will be returning both pair, reluctantly because I love the look, but I just cannot wear them.

Marcelle - They are heavy on your feet, but the support is good and my feet are less tired at the end of the day. I am a teacher and I am on my feet all day. I have wide feet and they are not as wide as I could use them.

Beautiful and comfortable - I love these boots! These boots kept my feet warm and toasty in the cold snowy mountains without feeling bulky. They have a very nice quality and the brick red suede color looks classy without looking flashy.

Marcelle - My biggest complaint with Dansko in general is having to buy size 43 (12) in a closed shoe in order to fit my 10-1/2-11 feet. That makes them sloppy and even bigger looking than my feet already are. Marcelle is not "cute" on big feet. I haven't decided if I'll keep them. I switched to Dansko because Wolky came out with clunkier styles.

I stand on my feet for up to 14 hours a day and have problem feet because of that. Dansko shoes have always helped me; however, these shoes are torture to the top of my foot. I have even had them professionally stretched. OUCH! Never again.

They hurt my feet - They look great but they are tight around the wide part of my feet and hurt the bones. I want to love them but they hurt.

beauty and the beast - These puppies are really beautiful, but darnit, they are too narrow in the toe box. After wearing them for only 4 hours (mostly sitting) I couldn't wait to take them off. I do have wider feet. I am so bumbed they don't fit (any size), they are so nice looking.

I am ALWAYS a size 37 in Dansko I own 9 pairs but this shoe let me down. I have tried 6 pairs of size 37 and all 6 pairs were too small and narrow. I am so sad they are so cute.

All I wanted for christmas - All I wanted for Christmas is Dank Marcella but Dank seems to have a big problem with rough edges and rough stitching I had to return 2 pairs because of that I am very disappointed. No Christmas gifts for me.

I love Danskos but was disappointed with the quality of this shoe. The plastic piece in the heel of the shoe was not smooth and I couldn't keep it because of how much it hurt when it rubbed on my foot! Also, the inside of the buckle part of the strap was very uncomfortable and rubbed. Maybe it was just a bad pair because Danskos are usually high quality. I might even order again just to make sure because I think they are really cute!

Marcelle - Really wanted to like this shoe. I liked its looks. However, it just doesn't fit well. It is very wide (good if you have a very wide foot) and especially wide in the toes. I normally wear a Dansko 42, but this one is large (I tried the 41 but it was not long enough). Even with the strap in the tightest hole, I can barely keep it on my foot. Sorry.

A couple of years ago, I bought some Dansko Mary Janes from Nordsroms. I really like them and they are really comfortable. That is why I went with Dansko again. They are too big for me now and the elastic on the strap has worn out. Other than that, they are in good shape...

Dansko Marcelle - I had expected the Dansko shoes to be very comfortable...my feet still hurt when I'm at work wearing them, and I'm on them for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours at a time with a 20 minute break- and they still hurt. I think they are very overpriced for such an average shoe...

Wanted a closed in shoe for winter weather and this shoe looked like it would meet my needs. I wear size 7 in most shoes so I ordered 37, but this shoe was too wide for my narrow heel. I even tried putting an orthotic in the shoe to take up some of the space, but the shoe was still too wide and big. I have many Dansko shoes so I will look for another style that fits my foot.

I wore an identical version of this shoe for ten years, waiting tables and nursing in hospitals, until they finally gave out. Apparently the newer footbed is narrower, and it's not just a matter of breaking them in—I've had this pair over two years. I can barely stand to wear these shoes because they are so uncomfortably narrow on my wide foot now.

Zappos, I am so sorry to return this style shoe yet again, I thought the 3rd time would be the charm, I feel like Goldilocks. First pair were too big, reordered and went down a size, 2nd pair fit fine but the color of the cordovan color was so different from the first pair, rather flat color wise and just plain ugly (to me) so thought I'd be safe and order for the 3rd time in safe Black. These don't fit, they feel too short from the previous pair and are painful. I give up. Thanks Zappos.

There was a big gap in the back of the shoe. I wanted to love these shoes! They are so pretty! They are snug across the top but then the back of the shoe flops around on my heel. I'm afraid I will be returning these. Hopefully I can find a similar style without the heel issue.

I really wanted to love these shoes. The stellar ratings sealed the deal. I was torn between the Alegria Paloma and the Dansko Marcelle. I went with Dansko. I initially ordered my size 11 (in 42). When the shoes arrived, I was enthused to have a shiny new pair of teacher shoes. Well my heels were slipping out of them with every step as though the shoe was two sizes too big so I sent them back to Zappos and went down a size...only to get the smaller size and find my toes smushed in the toe box and somehow my heels still slipping out the back of the shoe. Alas, another return to Zappos... It's crazy. Maybe these shoes just weren't meant for my feet, or quality control is off and inconsistent--

I love these shoes. They run long (to me)so I returned my normal size for one size down and the length is great. Unfortunately I am going to probably have to return this pair as well since the heel is so wide my heel automatically lifts out with each step. Such a bummer because these, especially this color, are so dang cute!

I tried on a friend's pair. They felt great so I order a pair. I usually wear 38 but 37 fit well. They provide great arch support but no foot support. These were supposed to be replacements for my last pair of Danskos that finally died but my feet were tired after a couple of hours. I am a flight attendant and bought them to wear on the plane but I need my feet to feel decent for longer than three hours.

This is a pretty shoe. I bought it because I have painful bunions on my feet and was told that Dansko's offer excellent support. I work on my feet for hours and hours at a time, and while they are good for standing in place, they REALLY hurt my feet to walk in. They are stiff and slide around a lot, which from other reviews, I understand is normal for them, but wreak havoc on my feet. Wish I had worn them around the house more before wearing them out, I would have discovered this earlier and returned them.

Seriously hurt my feet. I love the Dansko brand and that is still true. However, I bought these to work an 8 hour retail shift. I wore small booties made of tight material - the straps wore my skin and made me bleed including blisters. So bad! So this design may not be the best, but Dansko can't always be perfect.
