I was training for the Detroit half marathon and the race was three weeks away. I went down to the running store I always buy my from.Because of my flat feet, I have always run in New Balance shoes. The store ordered them. Over a week later I stopped by the store to check on my order and was told they were back-ordered! I called about every running store that carried New Balance shoes in the Detroit area. I got the same answer. Back-ordered until November 2011. I went onto the internet and looked for my shoes at four different sites. Still I had no luck. Then I went to Zappos site and entered the make & size I needed and there they were. I called Zappos' 800 number and got a very kind lady. I explained my problem and she went and shipped my shoes, next day service, at no extra charge. She was very polite and understanding and I thank her for that!

Excellent shoe. My husband has ankle issues. It is the only shoe that he runs in for the past 12 years!

I have a son with Down Syndrome who is 19 and really needs to have good shoes. These are great, they are comfortable and best of all I can find them at zappos quickly by searching for the specifics I need. Wide width shoes are hard to find not to mention New Balance has the best reputation for meeting specific foot needs. I do it all from the computer no searching from store to store. Love Zappos!

I suffer from severe overpronation, am very tall and heavy, and need to wear motion control sneakers on a daily basis to prevent foot and knee pain while walking. The Brooks Beast is the best shoe for my problem, but it's not as stylish as New Balance shoes for everyday wear. The two other New Balance overpronation shoes I've tried (the MW 926 and the MT 580) helped my gait with motion control and were comfortable but were never quite as comfortable as my Brooks Beast shoes. I love this M587 shoe because it's more stylish than the Brooks Beast and just as comfy. It gives excellent support and motion control, but feels softer longer than the other NB motion control shoes I've used. That said, this particular NB shoe does feel wider in the toe box than any other NB shoe I've tried. It doesn't pose any real fit problem, though, but some people accustomed to a tighter fit might not like that. Felt a tad bigger than other Men's 10.5 NB shoes too for some reason.

I have been satisfied with this shoe for the past two years. As a matter of fact, I had ordered a second pair shortly after receiving the first. They have provided the fit and support I needed for my jogging and walking. I am pleased with Zappos products and service.

I never bought wide shoes before this and I realized I've been missing out my whole life. No longer will I squish my foot into normal sized shoes. These shoes also happened to be made out of natural and man made material which makes them vegan. They are also made in the USA so they are pretty much the perfect shoe.

My only athletic shoes. Bought the same model and size again and again--three times in three years. This loyalty should say it all.

These are the fourth pair of shoes I've purchased at Zappos and the service, selection and the overall quality of the transaction continues to be superlative. These particular shoes shipped expedited, at no additional charge. They look great and feel wonderful.

Great shoe at a great price. Fit right out of the box. No need to break in. Size and width were right on. Good arch support. Servce top notch as usual.

Finally, I found a shoe wide enough for my foot. You'll find that the instep has no curvature and is completely straight, personally I like this feature as it provides good support. I would recommend this shoe for its comfort and look.

with out Zappos where would I get size 16 4E? It's easy, convenient,the price is right,delivery is fast and the number one reason I keep going back after 3 years, is I never had to send anything back. Thanks Zappos

I searched for these shoes all over and Zappos has them! This is an excellent shoe for stability and a wide toe box. These shoes are helping an overweight person have the foot support to exercise to a better fitness level!

NB M587 - Nice shoe...quality 10...would buy again.

Bought this shoe because I'm a bit of a heavyweight. However, I found it very stiff as opposed to cushiony. I would not have minded it being ugly, but what really made me return them was the uppers did not provide enough lateral stability. My ankles are a bit weak and prone to roll out and the uppers were too soft! I think as a walking sneaker for other heavyweights it would work well, but not for me as I like to jog.

I bought the shoes about a month ago for only work out use and I love them. Extremely comfortable.

Excellent shoes, hard to find with those who have very wide and long feet like me. Wish New Balance made a few more like these. I have three pairs of 993s but I'm beginning to like these more every day. Not Suede finish but won't become hot due to excellent breath-ability. Wish they extended this model for the foreseeable future. A little more arch support wouldn't hurt. Made in the USA too.

My other NB seem to fit better but were all leather instead of the mesh. I don't wear them that often and may just need to spend more time in them. Overall, it is a 9 out of ten which is still very good.

Comfortable and I love the look. I really wanted a pair of shoes that would help me with my over pronation and not look like an athletic shoe.

I like them. They are comfortable and supportive. I will buy another pair in the future. I had to send my first pair back They were two large.

This purchase was for my 2nd pair. They fit well and have plenty of room for my high instep. They also clean up really well if washed in the clothes washer (but I air dry them).

This is the 3rd pair of New Balance shoes for my Dad, who is 80 years old. He loves them and asked to have us order them for him. We found the best price on Zappos.com.
