Warm as Toast - This is the best boot for winter ever (these are a replacement for my last pair which lasted 15 years and only succumbed to the teeth of an overactive dog, not the elements and the new green color makes it slightly fashionable - but who cares about fashion when your toes are toasty warm and your calves are getting a mini-workout from hoisting these boots. Right now with a new snowfall of ten inches I'm feeling lucky in my Sorels.

Sorel Caribou - I looooove my Caribou boots in lavender!!! They elicit compliments every time I wear them! They are crazy warm, and I learned from my boyfriend that taking the liners out to dry is a good idea between wearings. I'll never fear Vermont blizzards again! The liners do rub on my legs in an irritating way, so I wear long socks with them. But my feet are always warm and comfy.

I was a little dubious about the size of these when I placed my order. Normally I wear an 8.5 and planned on buying a size 9. The 9 was sold out by the time I ordered them, so I took a chance and ordered an 8 fully expecting them to be too snug. They fit beautifully and I even have a little extra toe room--with thick winter socks. I would definitley suggest sizing down if you wear a half size.

Cozy boots - While these may not be the most fashionable of routes for snow boots they are definitely the more practical route. These boots keep my feet totally warm, have good traction and the fun green color spunks them up a bit. I feel like I've bought the snow boots I'll have for the rest of my life!

Good snow boots! I got these boots because I take the bus to and from school. They are a bit wider than they appear in the pictures and they are quite bulky but they do the job. Definitely not a fashion statement but it works for me! They keep my feet nice and dry. Would recommend! :)

Big! But great - These boots are very warm and perfect for the snow. The only downside is that they are kind of heavy and they run pretty big. I usually wear an 8.5-9, but the 9s were way too big. The 8 was perfect though.

They ain't pretty, but they're warm & dry! It took me almost ten years of living in New England and dealing with months of freezing cold snow and slush before I finally broke down and bought a pair of Sorels, but I am glad I did! My toes are warm and dry and happy in these things. And the look is growing on me. Not particularly stylish, but so ugly they're cute, in a lumberjack sort of way. I tried on several different styles of Sorel and found that the Caribou had the most generous fit. I'm a 7.5, not quite a wide width, but a bit wider than average and these in size 7 gave me plenty of room to wiggle my toes and wear thick socks. They come up high enough to keep snow out of them, there is a nice fuzzy collar around the top to keep them from rubbing your shins, and because they lace up you can tuck your pants in them.

Caribou's Rock! Just got my Sorel Caribous. I originally ordered the Snowcats, but decided I wanted to try the Caribous before I made up my mind. I am glad I did. They are so comfortable and fit very well. I ordered a size 8 and I usually wear an 8.5. They fit well with or without socks. They may appear clunky in the picture, but they are actually very easy to walk in. The lacing system is very nice. In all my years of skiing, 90% of ski lift operators are wearing Caribou's. I knew I made a good choice. I also love the black color.

The best winter boot! I’ve worn this model boot for 25 years. I’ve tried others but this is by far the warmest, most comfortable, most waterproof, longest lasting and most versatile of all. Works from the first snow through the mud season. Great for snow shoeing too. I like this shoe so much I keep an extra new pair on hand in case they ever stop making them. Nice and roomy so your feet don’t lose circulation like they do in close boots = cold feet.

Warm in Utah winters - This boot is great - my toes are perpetually cold - but these boots have kept them toasty through a cold Utah winter and lots of snow! I have found them to lack a little support and a little voluminous - but I also have relatively narrow and flat feet - so I slipped an insole in them and they're perfect! I wear an 8-8.5 shoe - and the 8 is plenty long...

I love my new Sorel’s! Can't go wrong with these for snowy weather. They are not the most feminine looking boot but there is no substitute. Your feet will always be warm and toasty.

Winter Warmth - Sorel makes top quality boots that will most definitely keep your feet toasty warm and dry while out in frigid and snowy winter weather. They are also very comfortable and didn't take any breaking-in time. I normally wear size 8 1/2, so I ordered a 9 in these boots. The 8 also fit, but was a little snug with thick socks. The 9 gave me a little extra room, but nothing too drastic. Recommend going to the whole size one up if you are a half-size.

North East life saver - I should have bought these earlier in the season. Sure they are not the most glamorous boots, but if you are tired of wet socks, cold feet and snow in your shoes then you are in for a treat with these boots. I bought these knowing they will last me for a good long time. They're a tad clunky but it's no clunkier than trudging through the snow.

Heavy Duty - The reviews are accurate. I usually wear a 6.5 or 7 and the 6 fit perfectly. These boots are heavy duty--They're great for snowy days, but they are also just plain HEAVY. I actually dread wearing them and lifting the heavy boots with every step. I would see if Sorel has a lighter version before buying these.

Nice boot for cold wet weather - This boot is great for those few weeks out of the year where the weather is very cold and wet. It is not practical for walking long distances or standing a lot. I wear 9.5 and ordered a 10 and wear wool socks with them and put arch support in them as they offer little in support. These are useful and stylish boots.

Women's Sorel Caribou - Although the boots are heavy, I am very pleased with them. They keep my feet warm and dry and provide good traction on snow and ice. They are easy to put on and take off; one stamp of a boot removes snow from its treads. When the weather is ugly, these boots are beautiful.

Love them! I ordered the purple Caribou's to match my winter coat and they are amazing! According to the other reviews I ordered an 8 (when I usually wear an 8.5) and they fit perfect. I've received so many compliments on how cute they are from friends and strangers! I also received them just before the first big snow here in Ohio, so Zappos.com's quick shipping really saved me from climbing around snow banks on my campus in my Chuck Taylor's. I would totally recommend them, but make sure you wear a thin sock with them because the wool lining can rub a little rough after a while -- I have the rugburn to prove it.

I haven't had a chance to wear them yet, but they feel great! Very warm, very comfortable. Maybe a little heavy if you plan to do a lot of walking in them. Also they do make your feet look bigger than other styles, but they're much more comfortable too.

Sorel Caribou - What an awesome boot! I can't wait for snow - they are just what I was looking for. I usually wear a size 8.5 and I ordered an 8 - a perfect fit. They are well made and look like they will get me through any bad weather that comes at me. Zappos is the greatest as always!

Adorable - I bought these two weeks ago for walking the dog, but apart from when I am asleep, the boots have scarcely left my feet. I've been wearing them to work, to run errands, or out to the bar. There was no break-in period. I got a size smaller than I usually wear, as per the other reviewers, and they fit perfectly. They are so warm and comfortable and the color (purple frost) is adorable--it's hard to believe that you can say the phrase "adorable Sorrels," but there you go.

based on the reviews i ordered a 10 and 11, in case the 11 was too big. but the 10 was too small so i think it depends on your foot. I got the purple ones, and i love them. I cannot wait to wear them in all that snow.

Got snow, get Caribous! We just moved to Colorado from central Texas last month and I was ill-prepared for the weather here. Sorel's Caribou boots are just the thing for snowy climes! I highly recommend this boot to anyone who lives with snow. I read all the reviews and found it helpful to order a half size smaller than I usually do. I wear a 5 1/2 shoe so I ordered a 5 in this boot and it fits perfectly. It is a bit heavy, but believe me, when the snow is deep, you don't mind in the least! And Zappos delivery is the fastest I've ever seen. I ordered this boot online Tuesday night at 10PM, and they arrived on Thursday by noon! Zappos is awesome! I'll never shop anywhere else online for shoes/boots!

My daughter loves them - They were a x-mas gift for her and she thinks they are great. Just the right utilitarian look and soo warm. She finds them very comfortable and a good fit.

Sorel Caribou Perfect Boot for Whistler! Warm, comfortable, and very cute! I ordered these out of necessity but was so surprised at how versatile they were. They actually looked great with leggings and a long tee as well as skinny jeans, sweater & vest.

Review of Sorel Caribou - I found this boot mostly comfortable. It appears warm, though the arch support is barely there. I chose it because I was looking for a warm boot, though it would have been nice if the white rubber part of the soul was a darker color so it doesn't stand out so much. Overall I believe it would keep my feet warm for short distances. Zappos is wonderful in letting the customer try all sorts of footwear, without obvious shipping charges, to find the right one.
