I love these boots, very comfy and warm. Totally waterproof. I haven’t gone swimming in them yet, but for all other purposes of trekking through snow and slush, they are wonderful. Feel true to size, maybe a half size big. I’m usually a 10/10.5 and I got a 10 and have room for a thick pair of socks to fit comfortably. I also love the style, it’s a little bigger of a boot so they make my legs look skinny. A great buy all around.

Great boots! They’re warm and run true to size, in my experience. They do tend to be a little clunky/heavy, but they’re great for the cold winters and heavy snow.

Love these boots. They're great looking considering how practical they are. They're really warm and have great treads. They have a thick, soft wool lining, and though they're no Uggs (which I wear constantly), I wear them without socks to trek through the snow to get mail or bring the compost out. If I'm out for longer, I wear socks. They are big; they'll make your feet look big, and you can't wear them to drive. But if you need a real snow boot, this is a great way to to go.

These are my hardcore winter boots. They make me feel invincible to snow. They are awesome.

I love these boots! They are so gigantic, when you put them on, you instantly look 10 pounds slimmer. And because they are a little heavy, if you use them for your daily walk, you will lose 10 pounds in no time. There is no need for fancy exercise shoes with these. I am usually a seven and ordered a six. They fit perfectly with thin or thicker socks with plenty of wiggle room for my toes. And they are very, very warm. I love the black color. It goes with everything, but my favorite cocktail dress.

I ordered these for my daughter for Christmas. She had seen them on another site, but I found them at Zappos and knew that this was the better site! She loves them! They fit her true to size, they are adorable, and she says her feet have never kept so warm. Luckily for her she had them when they got hit by 2 feet of snow and ice storms! They seem very well made and are very comfortable for her. I had them the next day after I ordered them, and with free returns, why would you buy anywhere else but Zappos? Fantastic company! Great boot!

I don't know what some of these women were doing in their boots that made them think they weren't waterproof, but these are the warmest, most waterproof boots I've had since I was a little girl. Having grown up in Iowa, then spending years in Vermont, and now living in Chicago, I think I know cold, snowy winters fairly well. I've been using these boots for a couple months now and I am so, so happy with them. My feet never get cold or wet, and they have the best traction I've found (short of crampons, which I'm not going to use in a city). Also, unless you have extremely narrow feet, these boots are perfect; enough cushioning for thinner socks, but flexible enough for thick socks, too (which I think most people wear in the winter).

The Sorel Caribou boots were purchased for my daughter and are exactly what she wanted. They fit perfectly and have already weathered a couple of snowstorms beautifully! The boots kept her warm and dry and still look great. Additionally, I was extremely pleased with the Zappos website and the free, prompt shipping. Because of this, I ordered a pair of shoes for myself.

I love these boots. I just got them in time for more bad weather. They are so soft and warm. Yes, they are bulky, but if you are used to wearing boots, they're not (they are more bulky than stiletto. Highly recommend them. I'm excited to be able to walk everywhere with dry feet this winter.

Got the boots in amazing time. They fit true to size and are very warm and waterproof so far. They look cute with jeans tucked in. A little clunky to walk in but not as bad as the other boots I have tried in a similar style. Sturdy and well made.

I can only review the service and quality of the boots. I bought them for my daughter and she requested a fine quality boot, so much so my husband said I wish somebody got me a pair. I am sure she knew of the quality before she requested them. The order and delivery time were great and the site was easy to maneuver. Thank you.

So warm and comfortable during the first big snow storm in the NE. They're trendy with jeans tucked in and thick color socks rolled down. I love them.

I have been very pleased with my Sorel Caribou boots. I was looking for something to keep my feet warm when I shovel the driveway or am playing out in the snow with the kids. I wear them with a pair of "Omniwool" or "Smartwool" socks and so far they have kept my feet toasty warm. Only on one occasion did my feet feel a little cold, but I had been just standing around. Once I got moving again they warmed right up. It is miserable to have cold feet and these boots have been great for keeping my feet warm! I ordered my normal size and they were just right. I would highly recommend these boots.

These are so comfy and warm. Better than slippers! I ordered them in black. True to size, unlike previous comments.

These boots are a little clunky, but I love them. Traipsing through the rain and snow has never been more satisfying. I wear a size 6 1/2 to 7, and I sized down to a 6.

They don't make Sorel boots like they used to. I have an older (4 years) pair of Sorel Caribou boots that are wonderful, but I simply wanted another color. The new pair of Caribous I recently ordered, lasted one day before the neoprene tongue ripped out. I compared the two boots and discovered Sorel does not sew the neoprene into the shaft like they used to. On the older pair, the neoprene had what looks like a basting tape around the edge, the new ones are raw neoprene edges sewn onto wool with a single slip stitch, which does not make a whole lot of sense. I hope this boot was defective, but since I did not receive a response letting me know if it was or not, I am assuming it is otherwise, and therefore, I came to the conclusion, the quality of Sorel boots aren't what they used to be.

Awesome boots, definitely order down in size if you are a half or in between sizes in different brands. Great, but huge width, huge boots. Very big and clunky, so make sure that's what you're looking for. I guess the $250 dollar version gets you a more normal contour of a snow boot.

I tried these on at a local store and found that I needed a full size smaller in the buff color. I did not buy them, but instead ordered them from great Zappos in black, the same size that fit at the store, only to discover I need my normal size 8! Frustrating for sure, although it might help others in deciding. Either way, Zappos will return and exchange better than any other. Love that!

The Caribou run big! I bought a pair in my normal size 6 and there was so much room in the boot that ended up giving them to a friend who wears a 7. Because I really like the rugged feel of this boot, I bought another pair of Caribou, but sized down to size 5 and although still roomy in width, I'm not having the problems walking that I had in the 6. These boots are great!

These shoes are not waterproof. After getting them last fall for ice fishing I started wearing them late into autumn after temperature dropped to the 30's. Right away I noticed that they leaked water. So I complained to Sorel. They agreed to accept and inspect them if I shell out for shipping to their warehouse in France. So I did. They inspected the boots and determined that they are faulty and sent me a new replacement pair. Right away I decided to check if they are waterproof so I immersed them in couple inches of water. One of the boots was taking water like a sieve. It was full of water in matter of minute. So it's a shame on Sorel part for peddling such poor quality product.

Love these boots! These boots are super comfy (I could wear them every day!), they are super stylish, and they kept my feet toasty warm on my recent trip to RI!

Not waterproof - I got them as a gift for x-mas. I spent a lot of time outdoors ice fishing in 20-30F weather. I love the way they looks, but that about it. One thing that I noticed right away that they are not waterproof as claimed. Both feet. Not sure if it the seams or construction itself. It is not designed for wet weather. I tried waterproofing them with lanolin and salamander spray but it wasn't much help. The liners are damp after every use. They are heavy and clunky. Very slippery on ice so you need ice cleats. I wouldn't buy them again or recommend my friends buying them.

Beware of Sizing! My Sorels arrived quickly and appear exactly as pictured in the ads. They're chunky, clunky, cozy and fun! I had read numerous customer reviews, on multiple web sites, prior to purchasing, and almost all users recommended buying one size down (these do not come in half-sizes). I'm a true women's size 8 medium, so I ordered my Sorels in a size 7. The size 7 boots' width is perfect (spacious), but the length is a touch short.
