This was the first time I used Zappos, and they were just awesome, there's really no other way to put it. I want to do more shopping on Zappos now just so I can deal with them again, it is actually that enjoyable. As for the boots, I go to school in snowy (and salty, consequently) Ann Arbor, and so far these boots are really going the distance. They have good traction on the ice, they keep your feet warm, and they're sturdy - they stand up really well against the salt and snow. The only con so far is that they're kind of hard to take off, the liners usually come off with my feet unless I really put some effort into it. Not a big deal, it just takes longer to put them on the next time because I've got to put the liners on first. Other than that, they're really fantastic. Also, because they don't have half sizes, you have to go down instead of up. Mine were a little tight (I got a 9 and I'm usually a 9.5) but after wearing once or twice they stretched out a bit and they fit fine.

These boots worked great during an NYC blizzard. Usually have cold feet during the winter, but not his time.Wore without socks and my feet were the warmest part of my body. A little stiff when first put on but after fits like a glove.

I bought my first pair of Caribou boots 17 years ago. I live in Colorado, so you know they've gotten hard abuse during our cold winters. I wore them snowboarding (old school style), snowmobiling, snowshoeing and shoveling during many blizzards. The only reason I'm buying another pair now is my niece has "aquired" my old ones and won't give them up! Hope they will last her as long as they've lasted me.

If you are going to be in the snow you should get these boots. They keep your feet warm and dry. Very good boot for this price!

I bought a first pair of Caribou 12 years ago and almost wore them out over the years. I just replaced them. They arrived at the right time as Switzerland has a rather snowy winter even in the plain. I was a bit surprised to notice that the model grew wider and heavier though in the same size. But as far as protection from humidity and cold temperature is concerned, it is the same wonderful equipment. Thank you for your help.

I've never had a good pair of winter boots before, so I decided to treat myself. I never knew quality could be SO SUMPTUOUS! These boots are well made, fashionable, warm and incredibly comfortable; worth every penny! I bought them as a Christmas gift to myself and wore them for the first time yesterday. I live in the frigid depths of Chicago and Lake Michigan (in the land of "lake effect snow") and these boots didn't flinch at the cold and snow. A little hard to drive in (gotta get use to that). Other than that, I see these booths being the last pair I'll ever have to own. VERY IMPRESSIVE!

1 purchased a pair of these boots for my son probably 20 years ago and finally this year, he asked for a replacement pair for Christmas. He loves them, they fit right and they sent the correct color he wanted. It is great to have a Christmas gift be JUST RIGHT.

This boot is incredibly warm and heavy duty. There is no way snow is getting near my feet, and the traction is great. The only complaint I have is that they look HUGE on me and are very heavy and hard to bend my ankles in.

I bought these boots as a Christmas present to myself and I am so happy I did! I ordered the black pair and received them yesterday - they are gorgeous and well made!! (They remind my of $300 ski boots!) After reading the reviews I decided to to get a size 6 instead of my usual size 7. When I first tried them on they were a bit snug. But after walking around in them they got roomier and are now very comfortable. I also tried them on without the inside sock/lining and the boot was super big! I personally had trouble pulling out the liner - but if you tug from the fluffy top you will see where the liner seperates from the actual boot and you can pull out. The boots are on the heavy side so I don't forsee myself walking all day in them. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and looking forward to NYC's first blizzard!

I am the proud owner of two pairs of Caribous - I bought my first pair over 22 years ago in tan leather at a Big 5 and have worn them every year - especially when we head up to Lake Tahoe. Four years ago I purchased another pair in the deep wine color and love them so much! I wear them in the city and in the snows of Tahoe and Oregon and I couldn't be happier. The fit is just at the beginning of my calf so I am able to rotate my ankle comfortably. I am a Caribou woman for sure! Nothing else for me!!!! (I am going to get myself the black ones for a nice Christmas present to myself!)

These were so stiff, heavy, and clunky that I think I would have tripped over my own feet if I tried to wear them. Also make your feet look huge. Sent them back.

Great boots! My feet never get cold. The chunky bottom feels extra stable in slushy or slippery winter weather. AND on top of it all, ZAPPOS upgraded my shipping (without me asking), and I got them the day after I ordered them! Love ZAPPOS!

I usually wear a 7.5WW; even this size 9 M boot was not wide enough for me.

These are the best boots for snow and cold. They keep your feet dry and warm and are not as bulky as I thought they would be. My husband has had the same pair for 25 years. I decided to buy a pair for my daughter but find myself wanting to wear them. Jeans can easily be tucked inside or snow pants fit over the top.

Heavier than I'd want in a hiking boot but if it wasn't so wide on my narrow foot, I'd love it for keeping warm in deep snow or on short walks. The Zappos descriptions offered as to size aren't quite accurate for the fit of this boot. I ordered my size and the length was right but it was very wide for me. So It is short for the size length but is wide for the size width.

If you want a giant, cumbersome, warm pair of boots then look no further. I love my sorels. They are huge and toasty warm. They aren't great for walking any distance or driving. Seriously, they are like monster trucks for your feet. They are way to large for any practical purpose but man don't you just want one sitting in your driveway. If you live in a cold environment or just have cold natured feet then these might be for you.

We rarely purchase footwear online because of sizing. These boots were purchased for our college aged daughter. Before we ordered them, we went to one of our local stores that handles Sorel to try on another style boot for the appropriate size. We thought they would be comparable. However, when she tried on the Caribous, they were huge. We now have to figure out how to return them for a smaller size. So much for trying to plan ahead.

These boots are so great. They are perfect for any snow condition and keep your feet warm and dry. I love the black color. I am normally a size 9 but I ordered a size 8 and they fit perfectly. I would recommend buying a size down. Definitely recommend!

They fit well. It's almost good that they run large. If you're running around in the snow, you don't want you're feet to be all smooshed and uncomfortable. My feet stay warm and I have room to wiggle my toes. However, I am still getting used to the weight of the shoes. I feel like I clunk around in them but over all I am very happy that I bought them.

I found these boots to run about one size too large. I'm an 11.5 and the 11s are more than ample even with very thick socks.
