This boot is super comfy and wearable all day, working on my feet in the cold and even inside these don't make my dogs tired.

Great boot, but make sure you try them on. The boots were 2 sizes too large for me. The lining also thins after awhile, so they'll become looser.

I love these boots! The classic style never goes out of fashion and they are comfy and warm in the coldest weather.

These are great boots for large amounts of snow. However, if you are looking for something to wear to the mall or store, I would look for something else. These boots are very heavy. After wearing for a few days in a row, my back begins to hurt from lugging around the extra weight. When I have worn them outside in deep amounts of snow, I have stayed dry and warm. The weight of the boot is just very bothersome. My only other complaint, a minor one, is I cannot get the liner to stay in one boot when I take it off. I can live with that, though.

Love these boots. Wore them for the first time this weekend in the blizzard that hit and felt like an arctic Goddess! So warm, so comfy and feeties dry. They are quite big and heavy, but I was expecting that and am very happy with these boots!

There is no question in my mind that Sorel makes the best boot in the world when it comes to keeping the feet warm. I'm on my second pair, I bought my first 25 years ago and they have served me well.

Loved the look, ruggedenss, and warmth of the boot -- especially in the gray/black combo. However the leather upper on the left boot pinched me above the ankle, could not find the right fit (7 too small and 8 too big), and no arch support (could have dealt with the latter if there weren't the former
two issues.

I love these boots - super cozy warm, and perfect to wear apres-ski. Order up not down though!

Every year or two, I had to replace new snow boots for previous one but after I've gotten Sorrel's Caribou snow boots in Montreal, I don't have to do so, excelleint wridge on the bottom, warmth inside and looks very stylish and the most of all, it is very comfortable to wear for long time not like others given some pain or promble or part of its bottom dissapeared... You got to purchse it cause you are going to love it and keep it for long time. Am I smiling or what?!

Serious boots! I just read the other reviews and noted the comments about big, funny, heavy. These are serious boots for serious people. All the ski instructors in the Tahoe basin wear them. The challenge is to get them looking a bit old. They like to stay new looking for a long time. I bought mine (from Zappos of course) seven years ago. They still look new. Moreover, heavy boots make skinny thighs.

My new Caribous arrived yesterday and so far they're perfect! They even kept my feet very warm during our 20 degree blustery evening out last night. I usually wear a size 8 shoe, but after reading reviews, I decided to order a size 7 and I'm so glad I did. With the liner and a pair of thick wool socks, they fit perfectly. Without the liner, they are a bit roomy, but can be adjusted by adding an extra pair of socks. So if you are wondering what size to order, order down instead of up. They are also quite a wide fit. I plan on wearing these for many winters to come!

The boots are very warm, but I can barely walk in them because they're so stiff. The soles don't bend!

I wear a size 7 in all of my shoe styles. However, my Sorel Size 7's are a bit too big. They're fine for a short trek through the snow, but they feel heavy after a while and become cumbersome to walk in. This year, I purchased a size 6. The reviewer who mentioned the liner being the issue is correct. Without the liner, the size 6 fits great. With the liner, my toes just touch the edge of the shoe. The boots are warm, they stay dry, and they continue to look brand new. If Sorel could adjust the liners inside, I could give this a 5-star rating.
Not all Sorel's run big! I also have the Snow Angel in a Size 7. It's been discontinued, but the Torino looks just like my Snow Angels, and they fit perfectly. This boot is shorter, does NOT have a liner, and is lighter. It's still a very warm boot, and my favorite pair.

I am a true size 6.5. I have had Sorels in the past, size 7, which were too big. I purchased these very cute boots in size 6, but they were too short. Width felt fine.

I received my Sorel Caribou boots two weeks ago, and absolutely love them. These are serious boots, that I think I will own for a lifetime. They DO run large, that is for sure. I am a true 9.5, so based on other reviews, I ordered a 9. They are still big on me - WITH the liner in. However, once I put on a pair of thicker wool socks, they were fine to walk in. Still bigger than other shoes and boots that I own, but they work. In fact, it's nice to have such warm boots on, and still be able to wiggle your toes. They're much heavier than I expected too... however, despite this, they are still VERY comfortable. We haven't had a big snow here in Wisconsin yet this year, but I wore them on a cold day last weekend while walking dogs for two hours at the Humane Society, and my feet and legs felt great afterwards.

These boots are huge. They were so big it looked like I had cartoon feet. If you plan on being in a blizzard, buy them. If you plan on wearing them for everyday winter, beware - they are hilariously big. I laughed when I pulled them out of the package. It would take me ten minutes to get up or down one flight of stairs. That's all.

This is a classic boot that can be seen on the feet of many in MN. You just can't beat the durability. The liner may be tight, but the design is intentional and essential in keeping in the heat. My feet stay warm in subzero temps for an hour . When planning to stay in subzero temps for hours on end, I insert hand/foot warmer packets and it works like a charm. Snowmobiling, sledding, ice fishing, winter bonfires, or just treading through snow-ridden shopping mall parking lots. Early in the season I wear these boots without the liners, otherwise they are too hot. The tread and the laces are both equally durable. I expect that I will never have to buy another winter boot.

They run a bit big so if your in a half size get the smaller size. Super comfy and warm. They will last forever.

Got my boots today. I ordered them in my normal size 8. It was miserable trying to get them on. Too tight. So tight that once I finally got them on, my feet started going numb. I do have wide feet, but not that wide. I finally managed to pull them off and was about box them back up to return them, when I remembered they had liners inside. I pulled the liners out and tried the boots on again. Was thrilled to realize that the boots were not only perfectly comfortable, but too big, just like the reviews said they would be. So I tried on the liners without the boots. They were tight and difficult to get in and out of. The liners are the problem. So I plan to keep my wonderful boots and find another solution for liners.
Otherwise, the boots are very attractive and obviously well made.

I wear a 7 1/2 and many of these reviews said that these boots are a size too big. So I went back and ordered a size 6 in addition to the 7. I walked around the house in both sizes for a couple weeks and ultimately decided on the 7. I do agree, these are a size too big and if they made half sizes, a 6 1/2 would be perfect. I tried them out in about 5 feet of snow this weekend in Tahoe and my feet stayed warm and dry. I got many compliments on them and if worn with with your jeans tucked into the boot, they really don't look too bulky or like 'clodhoppers'. I also bought an additional liner for these so if I wear my jeans over the boots, there will just be less bulk without the furry cuff on the top of the liner. My only complaint is the liner always comes out when you take the boot off. I've tried to hold the liner in but it still comes out enough that I have to push it back in and adjust it. Otherwise, they are perfect!

I have used the Sorel Boot in the past for cold climate foot wear, hence, I know that the Sorel Boot is tops for comfort in extreme cold weather. I am very pleased with my purchase, and, with cold weather on the way, intend to use them to the hilt. I ride the commuter trains to my place of work, and, there are long waits on the train platform in an exposed area. These boots will make all the difference during the cold winter months where I live.

I LOVE my Caribous but they are WAY too big. I got them about 2-3 years ago and didn't get around to sending them back for a smaller size. I wish I had. They are super warm and very comfortable boots but I think they would be even warmer and more comfortable if they were smaller. I got a women's 8 (which is the size I wear in tennis shoes) but should have maybe gotten a women's 7. These boots are great quality and still look as new as when I first got them and I wear them a lot.

My mom has owned a pair of theis boots for 22 years, she got them back when we lived in Montana. The only difference is hers are completely white. They have held up for the years and i love them, she loves them and the comfort they still have. I was so excited to find out they still sell the boots because i wanted a pair simular. I highly recomend this to anyone who lives in or will travel to snow anytime. they are the best investment my mom made for snow equitment.

These do run big. I usually wear a 7 US but got these a full size smaller. Because they are so warm though I only need to wear a thin sock. These boots are great though. Warm, comfy, and give you great stability on snowy, icy surfaces. They are heavy but not as heavy as other snow boots. I highly recommend these boots!
