I am super frustrated because I was so excited to get these boots because it is starting to snow. I did the measurement that it says to do to get the right size of boot but it is HUGE. I normally wear a 9. The size chart told me to order a 10. I decided to go with a 9.5 because many reviews say the size runs a little big. I figured that the chart was right on the money with giving me the correct size. The boot fits like an 11 and I am annoyed.

I've always had a hard time finding winter boots because I have thick calves and wide feet and I also don't think I should be subjected to the ugliest, puffiest monstrosity out there. I was really excited to try these even though I figured they wouldn't work, and they didn't :( The width seemed all right; I was hoping they'd come a little wider to account for thick socks, but they seemed average. What got me was the actual size of the boot; I could squeeze the width of my foot in the boot but I could not get my heel in because the boot just wasn't long enough. So back they went!

I love the quality or Sorel Caribou boots. They work great for snowmobiling. This is my second pair and I find that they fit a bit small compared to my original boots that came from Canada... the Chinese version are not as true size as my original boots but the quality of workmanship appears to be there....dry, warm, and comfortable.

I am a size 10 so that is the size I ordered but I could have gone down a full size. These boots are extremely stiff and bulky. They are very heavy on my feet. Definitely not a good shoe to walk long distances. My feet kept sliding in these and now my toes and ankles hurt. I dread having to put them back on. The one plus is that my feet were extremely warm.

I can't say I am completely satisfied with this boot, but I did keep it. The fit is large. I ordered according to the fit guide and selected size 6.5. Normally, I wear a 7 and my old Sorel boots are a 7. The 6.5 is a very roomy in the width. I was looking for a very warm boot for days when I work outside for several hours at a time. This boot fits the bill. However, it is very heavy and bulky, so it is almost tiring to walk around in it for many hours. I would recommend this boot if warmth is what you are after, but not if you want all-day comfort. Hope this helps.

These boots are very wide and generously sized. I had to wear a thick pair of wool socks to take up the added width. The boots keep your feet very warm but the rubber bottom started splitting within the first year. They are also heavy so if you do a lot of walking expect to have leg fatigue.

I wanted some legit, warm snow boots to wear throughout the winter; with skinny jeans, leggings, etc. These are unfortunately a little too legit. I returned these because they're just too heavy duty. I had read reviews saying they were too heavy, but thought I could handle it. Nope. I would only wear these if I was going to shovel some snow. No way are they practical enough to wear with every day outfits. Bummer. Great quality though. Usually wear a 9-9 1/2, and the 8 was perfect.

I need to return these boots. I am a women's size 12, they are marked 12 but they are definitely a men's size 10. They are the same boot (wide) as my husbands size 10.

I'm a true 10.5. Every shoe, sneaker, sandal, snowboarding boot, etc. I own is a 10.5. After ordering 3 different sizes I wound up with a 9.5 size, and they still feel big.... I do like the style and warmth, but I'm not hiking thru frozen tundra for days. I'm just shoveling the driveway we it snows and going sleigh riding with the kids, so they are perfect for me.

As per everybody's review, this boot runs a little big. I normally wear a 7.5 and got a 7 for this. It was ok- I actually could have gone to a 6.5. It is well made and sturdy. However, it weighs a ton and the shaft is tight. I do not want to wear them unless it is absolutely snow ridden out there. As I got them immediately before a snowstorm, I had no choice but to wear them. Otherwise, I would have returned them for another model.

The boot is warm and makes me feel secured when walking in the snow. And it looks nice in the picture except for the fact that It looks extremely huge when I actually try it on(mine is 8). Also, it is extremely HEAVY. I sometimes feel like I am walking around with sandbags attached to my feet.

This is an amazing boot meant for heavy snow and all the activities related to it. It is impermeable and very very warm but I do not recommend it for petite women. I am 4'11" and 120 lbs. This boot is just too heavy for me. Sadly they will have to go back. Great boot if you can handle its weight!

I purchased these boots a little over a year ago, and despite having quite a bit of inclement weather this time last year and some this year, I've only worn these boots maybe 3-4 times. I should have read more reviews before making the purchase, and I'm sad to say that I am overall disappointed in them. I will say that the positive aspects of the shoes are that they do keep your feet extremely warm, and they are of excellent craftsmanship. On the downside, they are very uncomfortable to wear. I wear an 8.5 shoe, and the 8.5 is way too big. My feet are constantly sliding around inside, and the shaft slips on my ankles/calves. It hurts to walk in them because they are super clunky, and I feel the need to strain my muscles in order to keep them on my feet. Thankfully, I didn't have any issues with the material rubbing my skin raw, which is a problem for me with a lot of shoes. Taking everything into account, they are well-made, but they do not deliver in terms of comfort and function. Sadly, I won't be recommending these.

Let me first preface this by saying I really wanted to like them. My wife and kids have Sorels and they all love their boots. I am 5'5" and normally wear a size 8. I purchased the caribou in a size 7 after trying them in the store. They look amazing and the quality is very nice. The soles feel thin and I'm concerned I would feel the cold under my feet. My only real concern is how big they look on me. The boots look huge relative to my size. They're just too wide and big. They fit fine but they add an extra two inches of rubber and material which add a lot of weight which make them heavy and clunky for daily use. Driving is a challenge but can be done with a gentle touch. Perhaps I'll try a different style but the classic Caribou will not work for me. :(

These boots will not keep your feet warm at the temps advertised. The liners are much thinner than my older boots and the boot soles are very thin. I am very disappointed. I hate them and can't return them.

Ordered these for my daughter in college. She had tried on other styles in the store and didn't realize some Sorel boots weigh more than others! They weigh TWICE what the other boots do! Please be aware of this before you order and have to pay for two-way shipping!!!

According to size chart, my foot is between a 6 and 6 1/2. I tried on my daughters size 7 and they were slightly large, so I ordered a 6 for myself. Had to return because they were way too big. My daughter loved her 1st pair so much I ordered her another pair in 7, they are getting returned because they are too big. They are just not true to size. Their exchange policy is awful. I am now ordering another pair for myself from a dept. store, so at least if I have to return this pair, I can go to the store for an exchange. Keeping in mind the nearest store to sell Sorel boots is over an hour away. But they are really cute and feel really warm. I know people who have said they have had the same pair for over 5 years. So I hope this is worth the hassle.

I ordered a 5 due to the reviews. I usually wear a 5.5 and sometimes a 6. My feet were thrown forward in these boots like ski boots; so there was space behind my heel, but my toes were crammed into the front. They also rubbed by outer ankle bones, only had them on a couple of minutes and my ankles were red when I took them off. Sending them back. I did like they color and the way they looked though.

These boots seem very warm; however, it's too hard to get my foot in and out. The footbed was true to size or even a little big but the ankle opening is stiff. Also was hard to walk in them.

I purchased this boot for warmth. I Live in Minnesota where temps drop below zero often. This boot does not keep my feet warm for very long, this is a well made boot but...... When walking on the snow it feels like the bottom of the boot is not thick enough, you can feel everything you step on. I Did wear the boots otherwise I would return them. Get a boot with a way thicker bottom and heal. I'm Still looking for a good warm pair of boots. Thank you.

Let me start out with expressing how excited I was to get these boots for their slip proof dependability... Durability: WOW. Boots are heavier than I imagined. I did not expect to wear these for a night on the town, but also didn't expect them to be AS clunky, where I'd be tripping over my own steps. I am 5'3" so it's easy for me to trip in really clunky footwear. I simply purchased these to be able to walk on ice while walking the dog and to withstand the blistering cold Minnesota weather. If you are looking for that thick soled warm boot (literally thick ALL AROUND) then these are sure to last and do the job intended just by the look of them. They have about an inch in thickness (rubber) all around the sole of the boot. Comparing the soles to my Tofino boots, they are in contrast very different and I know I can trust them on ice. Now if you are like me and want a dependable boot that holds up to its construction description, but still want somewhat of a cute boot on your feet that don't make your feet look like mini tonka trucks, these may not be for you. They are well made in my opinion, but are most definitely a clunky boot and I've seen in some descriptions the term "clown feet" (which maybe a little over exaggerating) but your feet will look like you're wearing a men's size. (Unless you're a size 6 or below, lucky ones!) Fit: *Note: I wear an 8 in flats everyday wear. The most important part, figuring out your size in these hefty things. I ordered a size 7.5 when I normally wear a 7.5 in a boot. Typically, for the narrow boots I stick to my regular size, BUT these are WIDER boots. For me there was a size issue. I unfortunately have to return these. They are very large on me. After removing the liner my husband could fit in them and he is a men's 10... I can't even believe I might get a 6.5 an entire size down... I went to a store nearby that had one size 7 left and they were the older version that had to of been sitting in the back of their warehouse for a while because the lining was old and had a more restricted front so while sliding on the size 7 boot they were a little more snug around the shaft, but once in, I STILL felt I had more room than I needed! *Keep in mind I like a snug boot. Overall, if you want roomy go down a half size, but if you want TRUE to your size and snug go down a whole size. Comfort: Yes comfortable. Very roomy in the heel area and up front to fit plenty of those layered thick socks some of you like to wear. I like the suede shaft, it does not rub or sag on your leg. Overall: I rated a 3 star instead of a 5 star for two reasons. The boot size in my case was not true to size and the fact that I expected clunky, but not as if I was wearing a men's size clunky boot. I thought they'd have a tad more of a woman's fit, but I would still recommend this boot for its functionality. These boots are durable and warm.

First let me start by saying - I LOVE the idea of these boots. Waterproof, serious tread (I think you could climb an ice-mountain in these bad boys without slipping!), trendy colors, and nice liner! I absolutely believe you could go for a nice long walk in these in a foot of snow and your feet would be dry and warm. All great things. But.... First - I bought these boots thinking the other reviewers were being too picky.... I was wrong. I generally wear a 6.5 or 7 in shoes. Per other reviews, I ordered down and got a 6. The liner fit my feet fine, however, when I took the liner out (and it will slide out with your foot every single time you remove the boot)- my husband could fit into these and he wears a mens 9!!! Second - The liner in these boots will eventually wear thin where the seams inside the boot are. This will be EXTREMELY uncomfortable for you in the future. Third - unless you do some serious leg workouts at your gym, I wouldn't suggest buying these. I would guess they are about 4 lbs each, adding an additional 8+ lbs to your feet when walking. Lastly - These look HUGE on my feet! I am 5'6 with a slender buid (115 lbs) and these are so incredibly wide and clunky it is impossible to walk normally in them. Unless you plan to make the ultimate lumberjack-fashion-statement, you won't be wearing these with leggings or skinny jeans in the fall/ winter. They are just way too big.

I wanted a classic rain boot that would keep my socks and jeans dry during wet and cold weather. These do the trick, but the first or second time I wore them I was walking in the city and got blisters on the back of my ankles. These boots are very heavy and are not ideal for lots of walking. They fit very snug (I tucked my blue jeans into my socks); however, I could feel the boots coming off my heels while walking. After reading the reviews I ordered my normal shoe size of 6 1/2 and I think these boots are too big. I won't be buying another pair until trying them on in store.
