Bottom part of boot not thick as it appears. You can feel the ground through the boot

The boots run to small, I read on the Website to size down a full size and I only did it 1/2 a size, but they were to small. There are also very heavy.

I bought my last pair of women's Sorel Caribous 30+ years ago and they just now finally gave up the ghost. I bought a half size up to be safe and the new ones match the length of the old ones exactly. Now if I could only get them on and off without a struggle, with or without socks. My average, medium-width foot could barely get past the leather ankle area, even with the shoelaces removed. I really had to force it. Once I got them on, they fit fine, but it was ridiculously difficult to get them back off. I compared the old ones to the new and even accounting for the old leather stretching over the years, the width difference at the ankles was very noticeable. I so want a replacement pair of Caribous! Maybe I'll see if the men's version is the equivalent width to the 30-year-old women's version.

Bought my size, 10, and a 10.5. The 10 was too short and the 10.5 was too big (more like 11+). Wondered if it where a man's sizing because of the width. Kept the 10.5, will try it w/ thick socks. The shoes look very cute on and are very warm.

Ultimately I ended up returning these. The boot is bulky, heavy and stiff. It is difficult to get the tongue to sit flush . I never got the tongue on the right shoe to not bunch up and put pressure on the shin. This looks like quality leather and build; however the boot is really stiff and heavy. I like the looks of the boot and I am sure they are warm, but I could not wear these for an extended time. I wore them around the house a couple of times to give them a fair shot and really wanted to keep them, but they are just a really uncomfortable shoe and I ended up returning them. I was surprised given all the rave reviews and recommendations of this boot that can be found on the internet. I also ordered a size 7 as I could not find my normal size of 6.5 and the fit was weird. Should have felt large, but even with thin socks felt narrow. Lengthwise despite being a larger size felt like it was the right size, so my guess is these run really small. I love Sorel, but this is my second failure trying to find a good winter boot from Sorel. The last boot I sized up 1.5 sizes to get it to fit my foot, but by doing so, there was a huge gap in the ankle.

Ordered my normal size, but these feel huge compared to my original SOREL Caribou boots, which I wore out over 30 years. The half size smaller was too small.

Boot is high quality as usual but seems to run very small. I have several pairs of Sorel boots in 7.5 but in these I have already bought and returned both a 7.5 and an 8 because they were both too small

I was impressed with the warm lining and burly sole of these boots, but the stiffness of the boot irritated my ankles when I tried them on, so I returned them. I typically wear a size 7 shoe and got these in a 6.5 after trying them on in-store. The 6.5 was a little big... in just the right way for a boot like this that I'd wear with thick socks.

Sorel is very high quality. I'm returning as they're much smaller than my old pair. (Maybe former pair was a mens?) ALSO there was a pair of (opened) socks, one stuffed in each boot, which was a little creepy.....

Fit and size were great for my wide feet. However, I had to return because they weigh a ton! I couldn't imagine wearing them snowshoeing or doing any other outside snow sports. Just wearing them in the house felt like I had uber heavy weights on. My legs honestly felt tired just walking up and down stairs in my house. Never had that issue with snow boots before. So, although they are obviously very solid, warm boots, I had to return because of the weight of them.

These boots were very snug and warm and so comfortable, but even though I ordered down a half size to a 7 1/2, they made my feet look enormous! I felt like I was wearing giant man boots! I decided to return for the more feminine looking Joan of Arctics.

The boot are quality. However, they are very heavy! They are difficult to remove, even when places are loosened. The toe area is wide and clunky, pressing both the gas and brake pedal in my car at the same time! I now have to hold my right boot at certain angles to engage only the gas or brake pedals. I wish the boots were generally more comfortable and they cannot be returned.

They are warm and comfortable. However, they are not very slimming; very chunky.

I recently bought a new pair of Caribou boots (my old ones lasted for almost 20 years!!). I bought the same size and so far they are much narrower than my old pair. I hope they break-in with more use.

These boots look very cute and keep my feet warm. I live where there is snow for most of the winter, so I usually just throw on my boots to run to the store, etc. They are really not that comfortable to walk around in. They rub against my calf and it just feels awkward and clunky.

I really want to love these shoes. I feel like I am the only person that has sizing issues? I ordered 2 pairs: my size and a half size down and I'm swimming in them. Hoping the 3rd pair fit correctly.

I bought these for trips to snowy areas, Massachuchets and Colorado. They did the job, but I would not recommend this style for others. I found the boot to be very heavy and hard to tie tightly. Additionally, it fit great everywhere except the toe are. It narrows greatly at the toes in the inside liner. Had the liner been a touch larger in the toe area, the boot would fit great. It was however great at keeping my feet dry!

The boot shaft is very stiff and doesn't flex when I walk. Therefore, The top of the shaft cuts into my shin. The sizing runs big by about 1/2 a size.

I just bought my second pair so I have no idea how this pair will do. The last pair were great and lasted 7 years. Unfortunately, the evaluation is requested even before it has adequately snowed here. Whoever is sending out the requests for reviews needs to take a look at the weather and send out the request for reviews after adequate weather has taken place to confirm the quality. It's stupid to write a review of an untested product, and that's what the review program is asking of me.

This seems to be great for really snowy winters. They're very insulated with a thick sole that will protect feet from the ground but be prepared to lug around a very heavy boot. It's incredibly heavy but I guess that's necessary to be effective. I didn't keep them as I don't think that's necessary for NY but if you live someplace north these would be great

I bought these boots for a trip to Norway where I would be wearing them in a lot of snow and ice. As mentioned in another review, they are slippery on ice. I slid backwards down an icy sidewalk & luckily was stopped by the person behind me. I stood outside from 6-10 hours, (looking for northern lights), & they were warm enough wearing 3 pairs of socks & they are definitely waterproof, but the size & lack of grip made them hard to walk in. Overall I wasn't satisfied & would not recommend.

A friend recommended I get Sorel boots so that I can enjoy football season outside during winter. I was excited to try out these Sorel Caribou boots, even though they are the ugliest boots I have ever seen. Well, I couldn't even get my foot inside the boot--even with the laces opened all the way. So I'm sending them back.
I'd also recommend:
