This is one of the few times Rockport has not fit as expected. Too tight through the ball and toes. Little or no arch support. I returned them.

These shoes were exactly the style my husband was looking for, but they were too narrow (he does wear narrow shoes). Other widths were not available in his size. So I have to give a low review.

The good news is that length and width were perfect for my narrow feet. The soles are almost rigid, flexing very little and very hard. There is no arch support. The insole has next to no padding, making the shoe overall very uncomfortable to wear. This is described as a walking shoe but they hurt my feet when I walk in them.

Being that the shoe is called a walking shoe i thought that the sole would be softer than it is. The sole is hard and doesn't offer much cushion.

Well made, but a bit stiffer then I was expecting. they're listed as 'walkers' but for me, too stiff for wearing-everyday-walking-around, which is what I'm looking for. These are more like dress shoes.

These were a great disappointment. A shoe that was purportedly "extra wide" is actually basically equivalent to a standard width (measured against other shoes).

The shoes appeared to be of quality production and materials. My beef with them and the only reason I returned them was because of the way they were sized. I had asked for a 12 extra wide and what I got was almost wide enough but way too long,,,, as if it were a standard wide 14 but marked as a 12 extra wide. It was at least 1/2" to 3/4" longer than my other shoes.

Looks and fits as expected, but not useful as a walking shoe because the soles have no flexibility. I thought I was ordering the same kind I had before, but they keep changing manufacturers so it's not the same. These were made in India.

I was rather disappointed with this Rockport product. I got them to use as an outdoor work shoe and they simply did not hold up to that kind of use. The soles are fine. The uppers have a two-layer construction with a thin outer leather layer and a canvas-like inner layer. The outer layer was the problem. It started failing fairly quickly. The inner layer is still intact even though the outer layer has totally failed. I realize the ProWalker shoes of years ago cost twice as much as these "ProWalker" shoes, probably four time as much when adjusted for inflation. However, the ProWalker shoes of years ago also lasted forever. In those days, Rockport shoes were superior to most other brands. Now it appears the are just another cheaply made shoe. Sad to see them go that direction but I suppose price competition drives everything now. I would gladly pay $200 for a pair or ProWalker shoes the way they used to be made.

My husband has been wearing Rockport shoes for many years size 11XW. But the Prowalker 11XW was much narrower than the other Rockport shoes he wears. He was not able to even get his foot into the shoes. They had to be returned.

I have purchased this same shoe in the same size and style for many years. i have loved it! This pair does not fit! Manufacturing defect i guess. Too tight. I threw away the box and am too lazy to return it. Just won't purchase a rock port again.

The shoes that were sent to me were obviously from two different pairs. They had two different widths of laces. In addition, when I loosened them for my high instep, they became too short to be comfortably tied. I have been wearing this style for as long as I can remember. I an hoping that I will be able to find the right color shade and length of the laces to replace them. I was hoping for a good purchase that would make me comfortable in ordering another pair.

May be because I had gout my review won't be the best relevancy. I bought the shoes and I tried it @home once arrived. So stiff and uncomfortable. Also, I don't think the W is truly wide. It was a little bit narrow. Overall, I liked the style but the leather was very hard.
