I have purchased a few Rockports in the past. Needed to a lot of walking this year so I thought I'd try these again. They are okay but don't have the quality and that instant comfort I had expected from Rockport. Had to switch to Brooks' walkers which were much better.

This was one of two pairs of shoes I ordered for my son, who has narrow feet. The other was a Teva. There was no comparison. The Teva had better styling, ventilation, fit, & flexibility (even OK for use in water). This Rockport ProWalker looks old style & downright ugly.

This shoe is significantly less comfortable than the other pair of Rockport walking shoes that I previously owned. However, it is still a solid pair of shoes. No one buys Rockport shoes for style, so the low style rating is irrelevant.

A little short toe wise, it would have been better for me if it were a little wider also. After all it bis a walking shoe. Where comfort for walking is the main reason for making them.

These pinched my feet tightly right around the little toes. Given that I have liked Rockport in the past, I was shocked at how unsupportive they felt. I can't imagine a day of office standing and walking, much less on pavement or trail.

Shoe is very narrow fitting. Very uncomfortable. Tried on next width larger at the Rockport store and found just a tight and uncomfortable. Too bad--good looking shoe.

I got these shoes for work and they are okay. I have a wide foot and I got the wide shoe and the fit was okay. I also got another pair of shoes from Big 5 Sporting goods called "Rugged Exposure" for a lot less and they are more comfortable and fit my 8 1/2 wide foot better. They probably won't last as long but at a fraction the price I can get multiple pairs for the price of the Rockports.

I'm a bit disappointed with this shoe because I expected it to be far more supportive for walking. It's very light-weight and comfortable but I'd never recommend it for anyone who does any serious walking. I walk between three and four miles daily and these shoes simply do not support that kind of walking. With their light-weight construction, the soles are very thin so you end up feeling every small pebble that you happen across. The shoes fit well and are fine for walking on carpeted floors over short distances. For a far better walking shoe I'd recommend the Brooks Addition Walker.

Other than the loose feel of 1/2 size larger. Own Rockport walker before; Comfortable but doesn't last long. The sole warp/tilt on the outer sides after 6 months of regular use. I guess most walking shoes are like that.

Decent shoe, but lost its comfort after a short while. I replaced with the New Balance MW 576 and the New Balance is a MUCH better shoe.

Not quite the same -
I was desperate for a pair of Rockports since the nearest store is 120 miles away. I have worn 8100 for the last 3 years and decided to try the 7100. Well, I will be traveling 120 miles away to buy the 8100 once again. I was a bit disappointed in the 7100 because they feel like my 8100s feel after wearing them for 6 months, low to the ground and feeling the floor beneath them. I believe the 8100 have more cushion. Rockports have been my shoe of choice for the last 17 years.

Your shoe sizes are not clear enough. I normally wear a 9.5 D in shoes for men. However, your 9.5 D is too narrow. I had to exchange it for your 9.5 W for a good fit.

Quite stiff and felt tight like it was an 'A' width instead of the 'B' that I ordered. Will need to return

Runs very small and narrow for the marked size. Beware that you cannot return or exchange them if they don't fit.

Way too narrow. Blister from sneakers? Loosened the laces - maybe that'll be better.

For a ProWalker, this shoe was incredibly uncomfortable. It says it's all leather but it feels like a stiff rubber material. A huge difference compared to their Chranson Walking shoe which is very soft. Sadly, the sizes for the Chranson are all messed up. The jump from an 8 1/2 to a 9 was huge in width.

Fit and size were true. Sole is too stiff and feels too thick/inflexible.

These shoes were built well on the outside but their little or no cushion on the inside. I returned these shoes for this reason.

I have purchased 3 pair of these over the last 4 years....1st pair was great, fit like a glove, very comfortable. 2nd pair the sole came loose, 3rd pair eyelet tore shortly after purchase, and finish pealed. Quality continues to decrease. Won't be buying anymore of these.

Toes are too pointed, I had to have them stretched. You seem to worry about looks more than comfort. I wanted a pait in "Stonebridge'' color and I had to get from a store 1,000 miles away. Why didn't you have it when you are Rockport??
