I bought these for my elderly mother who has very small, wide feet. On top of that, she needs great arch support due to plantar fasciitis. She had very specific requests for shoes and these fit the bill on all counts; slip ons, size 5.5WW, athletic shoes, white. Perfect!

Great comfy shoe for walking around town without the constriction of a full walking shoe!

I have problem feet (custom orthotics,etc.) and I found that these shoes work for me. Ugly enough to be cute, and still help with the no arches problem and a balancing problem. Good shoes for the older problem foot. These are good shoes with wide toe box.

Haven't really worn them yet, but they fit beautifully and are very comfortable. I'll be having hand surgery soon and these will be great since I won't be able to tie laces.

Love them! Great support. I go between an 8 1/2 and 9 and bought the 9. Zappos rocks!

I really do like this shoe. I have a very high arch and need good support. The 801 has served me well. This is my third pair. There is room for my orthotic so my heels don't get sore.

This shoe is very comfortable, and fits me perfectly. The problem with the shoe, and the reason I won't order another pair is that they are not a very nice looking shoe. This is a shoe that would be worn casually, but the colors that they are offered in, and the fact that they have the "801" logo over the top of the foot, plus all the different types of material on one shoe, make it too athletic looking and not a good looking shoe at all. I wish New Balance would re-design these shoes to make them a little more casual looking, but keep the basic construction. I will order a different brand.

I've owned many pairs of these shoes over the years and am grateful that Zappos continues to stock them even though the NB outlet store doesn't. Because I have plantar fasciitis I need to wear supportive shoes in the house as well as outside. Ordinary slippers are no good. I have one pair for indoors and one for outdoors. So easy to slip on and off. Great support. Just wish they'd come out with newer colors.

I love them! They are so comforatable with no socks. They stay on better than other slip ons. The color is very cute. I got lots of compliments.

I love these New Balance W801 slides! I have worn through 10 pairs in the last 9 years. I wear them every day for work as they are the only shoes I have found that don't make my feet feel like I am walking on sharp glass at the end of the day. I am glad to see that New Balance brought them back, although I do prefer the gray as they are neutral and go with everything. I think that the other reviewers that said these were uncomfortable just didn't get the right size. These shoes are stiff at first like all sneakers but after a week they are like old friends. I love then as nothing else has come close for comfort!

Great Shoe - I really like these shoes. I wanted a sneaker without a back so they would be easy to slide on before I head out the door, and these get the job done. They are comfortable and look great with jeans. (I haven't paired them with anything else yet.) The only thing I've noticed is that I can't wear thick socks with them because they bunch on the top of my foot just outside the shoe, but thin socks work fine, as well as no socks. As far as size goes, sometimes I am an 8 1/2 and sometimes I am a 9. After reading several reviews, I decided to go with the 9 and they fit great. I ordered the tan, but I'm sure all colors look great. Happy Shopping! :)

Almost perfect - Very lightweight; the vamp does rub a bit, but that should be easily remedied by using some moleskin.

Great Shoe - This is a great shoe. I work in a hospital and am on my feet all day. They are as comfortable as my running shoes. I was worried about them staying on my feet, but the elastic band provides security without being too tight or uncomfortable. Also, I always get a 1/2 size larger than I usually wear in New Balance and these are no exception. Highly recommend.

Cute - way off size - Shoes are darling - but they are at least a full size smaller than marked. I wear an 11.5AA and ordered a 12B due to warnings of small size. The B width is too narrow for me (all of my other shoes are AA and fit fine)! My daughter who wears a AA also felt the B width was too narrow for her. Have to return them unfortunately.

O.K. The size was right, but the width - even wide width - was a little narrow, but I will let them stretch because they have great arches.

I ordered these shoes after being diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. They are comfortable and helping my feet. My orthotics fit, but do not usually need to put them in these shoes. I did order a half size larger after reading other comments and it was the right decision. The width did seem correct. I have worn them outside some, but will mostly wear inside my house.

Best slip on sneakers ever - I needed shoes for my plantar fasciitis, these were on the list, and I love them. The color I wanted wasn't available, so I took the next best thing.

Why did they quit making the 801??????? Why did New Balance discontinue this shoe? They replaced it with the 802, which is NOT the same. The 802 has that elastic gizmo in the top of the shoe and it is a much flimsier shoe, IMHO. New Balance, please bring back the 801.

This walking shoe is great. You are out the door quickly. No laces to tie! There is enough padding so my feet feel good after my walk. I can wiggle my toes in this shoe and it looks good too. I hope another color is available in my size soon.

Love 'em - This is my second pair of 801's and I absolutely love them. They are a narrower shoe in general, which is what I need and it's wonderful to have a slip-on tennie that is so comfy and long lasting. I hope New Balance never stops making this shoe!

Cured my heel pain - I purchased these shoes to help me keep the shoe on more and with these slides I do just that. I wear them all the time when I am on my feet. Easy on and easy off, they are cooler than tie shoes. Very comfortable and stay on good. They have cured my heel pain and I am addicted to them. I keep getting different colors to match everything. Customer service with Zappos is excellent.

New Balance 801 - Super comfy, great price, not too cloppy - I don't really like tennis shoes much and these are great.

Not worth the money - I was excited to get a pair of shoes that I could wear as slippers, shoes, kind of my "go-to" shoes. Everyone's reviews told me to go a half size bigger so I did - wrong move. Now I feel like I am wearing clown shoes and not only are they too big in the front my heel still comes off in the back. I am extremely disappointed.

Great choice - I love the ease and the comfort and they do provide great grip. The third day wearing them I picked up a blister so I guess their better with socks if I'm doing serious walking, but they are comfy and stylish.

Comfy yet Cool - I bought these shoes to help with problems I have been having with my arches. My Doctor recommended them so I could wear an insert in them but keep cool in the summer as well. I chose these shoes because of all the colors they come in and the fact that the back is higher then most slip on tennis shoes so they would hold my inserts in. I feel they have helped my feet a lot and look good, too!
