I bought these while rehabbing from a back injury. I needed slip-ons with cushioning (my Danskos, Merrells, and Birkenstocks sent a shock up my spine with each step) and support. I got the silver and grey which was made of a solid, (no perforations, no mesh) synthetic suede. They were extremely tight across the ball of my foot at first, but loosened up to a true medium fit after about half an hour of wearing them around the house. They are extremely comfortable for standing and short periods of easy walking (teaching a class, shopping) but not secure enough for walking briskly--I feel like I'm going to walk out of them, and I wear clogs/mules all the time that don't feel like that. While the insoles are removable for orthotics, there was no heel lip once I put them in, so that wasn't going to work. To my great surprise, they are so supportive that I don't need the orthotics in these. I wear an 11 in the New Balance 993s, and took the same in these. The synthetic suede does make my feet sweat more than I'd like, so would look for a mesh or actual leather pair if they were available. Very pleased with these overall, though, and the price is quite fair.

Love these shoes. Feel like I live in them. The last pair I had were 9 and they got a little loose. I ordered 8.5 this time and they are perfect. Had been looking for black color and these are great. They match everything really well and are so comfortable. Highly recommend!

I like these 801's and they replaced an old pair that I wore out! This pair is a bit narrower than the prior pair, but fit nicely. Great step-in shoes.

I have a 'low profile' foot, and these shoes fit me wonderfully. They're reasonably comfortable with socks, but got a blister on my toe when I wore them barefoot. The elastic across the instep may help accommodate women with higher insteps. I love being able to slip these guys on. I don't like the black faux leather toe covering. Overall I'd give these shoes 4.5 stars because they meet my need for a comfortable slip on shoe with an excellent sole and good comfort. I'm planning to buy another pair.

Awesome slide a bit clunky on style but like them enough I'm on my second pair. I wear them with a full orthotic. With the orthotic I replace the manufacturer's footbed and I can wear them barefoot by getting a half size smaller. If I wear them with athletic socks and my orthotic, then my regular shoe size works. Otherwise if I want to go barefoot in my regular size they are too sloppy.

These are my 4th pair of 801's. My husband even has two pair. I wear a 9 1/2 N and these fit me fine with an added liner. I wear them as slippers in the house, shopping, anywhere. I love them.

I love these shoes. The seem to have good support and they are easy to slide on and off. I'm very pleased with my purchase. I did order half size larger than usual as it was marked on website that they run small. They were a perfect fit.

Very pleased with this shoe. It is comfortable and fits according to size. As usual Zappos service was amazingly fast.

My wife loves them, they do fit snug around the top of your foot at first then they do fit better. Very comfortable shoes.

I actually bought these to wear as house shoes. I need a shoe with support and cushion to stand on my hard tile floors in the kitchen and something easy on/easy off. They are absolutely perfect in every way. At first they seemed a little snug but quickly eased up to fit perfectly. I actually found myself wearing them out to run errands, I didn't want to take them off.

These are the most comfortable tennis shoes ever. I get so many compliments on these. I wear them mostly for dog walking and running errands, but they have such great arch support, I could walk in them for hours.

This is the second pair of these shoes that I have owned. Found I had to go up 1/2 size but it is very comfortable.Love being able to slip on and off without tying laces. Good arch support as well.

I love these shoes. I have 4 pairs in various colors and they are wonderful. I live in a warm climate so they are perfect for cooler weather when you can't wear sandals. And they are cuter than workout shoes! I get many compliments on the New Balance Breast Cancer Classic.

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn! I love them and wear them almost every day. I highly recommend them. I got them to use in my cycle class at the gym because I had a heel injury and couldn't wear closed shoes, and I love them so much that I wear them whenever I can. Love these shoes!

This is the second pair of these that I have purchased and I absolutely love them. I wear a size 8 narrow and ordered a size 7 1/2 and they fit perfect. These are really comfortable! Great for walking, hiking, etc.

This shoe is helpful to my flat feet as a "houseshoe". I have been having trouble finding it recently and was delighted to be able to get "just what I wanted!"

These shoes are perfect for me. I've owned several pairs over the years, but can't always find them when a pair wears out. For slides, they stay on my feet and hug them without being too tight.

Love these shoes. Had a pair a few years ago, and was thrilled to see that New Balance brought them back.They are extremely comfortable, and great for walking. My feet don't hurt anymore!

I love these shoes! They look great and are very comfortable. The foam inserts made them feel slightly smaller than marked, but the inserts are removable.

Very happy with these shoes. Use them to walk the kids in the stroller and run errands. So easy for a mom to slip on and off - been wearing for a few weeks and they are comfortable!
