There may be other expensive shoes to own but value to quality, I never regret purchasing my Edmonds.

I have been wearing Allen Edmonds shoes since 1978 and have never been disappointed. In fact I have had a pair of Berwick's recrafted 4 times that I bought in 1979 and only recently decided to let them go to the shoe graveyard.
I currently have two pairs of Park Avenue, 2 pairs of Grayson, a pair of Spectators and a pair of suede casual Allen Edmond shoes. I also have a pair of Loake's handcrafted in London and while they are comfortable and of high quality they are not, in my opinion, of the caliber of Allen Edmonds.
Thank you for making such a wonderful product in the USA.

I have been wearing the Grayson for many many years. I have two pair-brown and black. They fit well and look great no matter where I wear them. I have had them recrafted several times and finally wore out the black pair last spring. Replaced it with another pair of the same. This is the perfect shoe for office, courtroom (I'm an attorney) and casual wear. Dress up or dress down but dress in a pair of Allen Edmonds Grayson slip ons. PLUS the're made right here in the USA.

I have two pair of Grayson tassel loafers - black calf and burgundy shell cordovan. First, on the fit; These are built on the same last as the Macneil, and therefore fit very similarly (a little wide in the forefoot, with a smaller toe box than some other lasts). This makes them a little longer (the shoe itself, not the fit) than some other styles, but also makes for a very beautiful shoe.
I got the black calf versions first, to wear with charcoal and black suits and slacks. They were so comfortable that I decided about 6 months later to splurge and get the burgundy shell cordovan versions as well. I have been extremely happy with both.
The soles on the shell version are harder-wearing (meaning that they last longer, showing less wear). Both are holding up well (I wear the shell version about 3 times per month, the black version probably 2 times per month, just due to shoe rotation and need for matching my slacks). The shell shoes are getting beautiful ripples in the vamp and are otherwise wearing extremely well. The calf versions get the typical creases one sees in calf.
I will say that these calf shoes use high quality calf! I slipped in the winter and fell on an icy patch on my driveway. The fall left a scratch along the entire outstep of my right shoe. With a little black AE polish, they look as good as new.
The only gripe I can come up wiht is that the tassels and side lacing are made of calf, even on the shell version. So, they don't quite match the color or texture. I admit it's a very minor issue, and one that no one but me will ever notice, but like I said - it's the only gripe I can come up with!

The Grayson loafer is one of the classic AE styles. The tassels give a dressy look to a slip on shoe. My black pair of Graysons have been worn two times a week for 3 years and have worn beautifully. I find that they fit me slightly smaller than the famous Park Ave. shoe. To sum up my reviews I would say the Grayson is classy and most of all comfortable. They are a staple of my business attire and would recommend them to anyone who needs a solid pair of slip on dress shoes.

These are classic dress shoes. Professional. Great design. Always a great fit. Re-crafting allows you to wear them for many, many years.

Purchased when working in the loop of Chicago my Graysons were at home for both casual and business attire. After three decades I had them recrafted. My family complimented me on my "new" shoes. They had to be convinced that they were thirty years old. What a value!

I have been wearing these for years and they are better than their competition by far. Johnston and Murphy is no comparison.

This was my 1st Allen Edmonds shoe and I loved it so bought many more shoes. But then about 5-10 years ago Allen Edmonds decided not to fabricate shoes in my size (15AA) anymore. Very disappointing. I tried several other shoes in 15B, but since they don't fit well, they're not that comfortable. Consequently, I will continue to have my 15AAs recrafted as long as they last.

I've been wearing Allen Edmonds shoes for 10 years now. You pay a little more up front but the quality and durability make the price an excellent value. Whate other manufacturer has a program to let you send in your shoes for a makeover with their recrafting service!

I have a narrow (3A foot,4A heel), flat foot - one of the few good fits I can count on. They really wear well. Have been through several pair over the last 40+ years - They are great! Happy to be able to make a comment for these shoes!

I have been a constant customer of AE shoes and in particular teh Grayson model which I can wear with my suit at work but also in social functions.
I am a sockless fan during summertime and the grayson shoes match perfectly my style.

They fit really well and look great over all. But the tassels on one of the shoes just don't lie down properly. They were sticking straight up in the air when I got them, and now they are lying down but point straight sideways. I've had tassel loafers most of my life and I've never seen any like this. Is there anything I can do?

I bough the same size as my Park Avenue Cap Toe Oxford but I had to use stretchers and am still having a little trouble with the left shoe. Not sure why it's not the same feel as the Oxford.

I have many Allen Edmunds and some go back to the old ownership. The quality in the older shoes is very good. The present shoes and styles are okay but not the excellency of the past. I can live with that because i have so many from the old ownership and if needed can have them repaired by Allen Edmonds.

Purchased these loafers as have been very satisfied with other Allen Edmunds shoes I have owned. Only problem I have with the shoes is that they are a bit too wide for me in the heel. Will have to see a local shoe repair shop to rectify. Otherwise am extremely happy with these loafers.

The size was too large and I had to return the shoes. They looked good, but much larger than the other 7 pairs of AE shoes I own.
Still waiting for credit to show on my card statement.

Color of the shoe was off relative to the picture on line. I took the shoes back to the store and they told me each shoe is individually died so there is significant color variation.
