I could not find moccasins locally, so I tried five different moccasins from Zappos in hopes of finding the right one. (Old Friend Soft Sole Moc, EMU Australia Talia, Daniel Green Nessa, RSVP Chardonnay, and RSVP Lodge). Surprisingly this style is one of my favorites. Despite it being the least fashionable, Old Friend wins in comfort. It was the only one with arch support and had a thicker sole than most (thus your feet are not so close to the cold floor). Old Friend was also the only moccasin that had a suede sole (advertised as durable) instead of rubber. Because it has a much longer tongue than other moccasins it feels a bit more like a slipper without actually being a slipper. This also means it stays on your foot better. The lining is real sheepskin (warm and cozy). Toe width is good (no pinching)and the heel is high enough to keep your foot in place. Although this shoe is noticeably wider than the other moccasins, it fits very similarly. Sadly the design is on the masculine side and not at all fashionable, but since these are personally for around the house, that is not a big concern since they are very comfortable.

I purchased a pair of these slippers several years ago and literally wore them until they were so tired and unattractive and the fuzzies inside were almost flat. I loved them every day. They were always warm and comfy and I am excited to order my replacement pair. I highly recommend these slippers. I also highly recommend buying through Zappos. They have excellent customer service.

Very comfortable. Much superior to the Minnetonka Ultimate Sheepskin Slipper. These have soft soles, and are built wide enough that my feet don't feel constrained at all, right out of the box. Classic, old-man slipper style, which I have no objection to (and I'm a 38-year-old woman). They feel secure on the feet, without feeling binding. You can relax in these. Soles are soft suede outsole with foam inside which is completely covered by the sheepskin lining. No exposed foam edges to cause allergic skin reaction. No rough stitches or other annoyances on the inside of the shoes. Nice faded taupe color. I was thinking of replacing the string with a piece of suede lacing if I could find it in a similar taupe color. That's a super minor issue, though. Just a little bit more moccasin style. I have no complaints about these slippers at all. Five stars across the board.

I love this slippers. I wear them everyday. We have tile and wood floors downstairs, and even when the weather is warm those tiles are freezing. My slippers have been so durable, I beat and batter them and they look brand new and not a stictch out of place.

This is literally the only slipper I will spend money on. I have been buying Old Friends for years now - I literally couldn't tell you if I'm on my third, fourth or fifth or sixth pair - and I'm never let down on the quality of them. The moment you slip your feet into a new pair you feel like your feet are surrounded by clouds. The cushy shearling absorbs sweat, keeps your feet warm and dry, and smell-free. The exterior holds up extremely well too. The only sign you'll have that you need a new pair is that the lining is gone and your feet start to stink (because the lining is gone) and is not absorbing sweat anymore. I wear a size 7/7.5 and I always order an 8 in these and they fit perfect. I can't thank Old Friend enough for making THE PERFECT slipper.

These soft soled mocs are perfect indoors during the freezing cold winter we had this year! Cushy, cozy warm! Looked all over and was so happy to finally find them!

These slippers are actually warmer than my (new) Ugg boots! I've had these for over 1 year and they are just as comfortable and warm as the first day I slipped my feet into them. Zappos sent me a reminder e-mail suggesting I could buy another pair, but why! The leather bottoms have aged well and the fleece is still fluffy and warm, and I haven't spent more than one occasion re-fluffing them. If/when these puppies finally croak, I won't hesitate to buy an identical pair as a replacement. As other reviewers have said, the slipper will stretch a little, but not significant enough to purchase a different size.

My feet are happy - These are true to size, and VERY comfortable. I suspect they'll stretch a bit with time, and that the wonderfully cloud-like fleece will pack down a bit, but right now they're the best slippers I've ever had.

Shocking!!! I bought these for my girlfriend for Christmas. She has yet to see them. I know they are exactly waht she wants and this has been one of the only places I have been able to find them. Not only that, but I ordered these on a Monday and I recieved them on Wednesday. Not sure about anyone else but Zappos has gained a new lifetime customer.

This is a very nice pair of slippers, but they aren't right for someone who needs some arch support. I should have realized when I ordered them that the soft sole results in a "sock" type feeling. As far as support, the sheepskin insole cannot be removed, so there is no way to put an insert under the shearling. I will order their other moc that has a sole, and I am sure that will solve the problem. If you are like me and need arch and foot support, then these are not the slippers for you.

I love the Old Friend soft sole slippers and have quite a few pairs of the taller collar type. Since they were no longer available I decided to try these shorter mocs. They were as comfortable as ever, but the heel was too loose and my foot would slide out when I took a step. Since the length was right I will have to return. I am hoping they will get the soft sole taller bootie slipper again soon.

Super soft and comfy. But they run a little small. I had to return mine for one size bigger.

Beautiful and high-quality, I love Old Friend products. Have had several pair of their thongs and slippers over the years. Also use their sherpa insoles in my Frey boots. Marked 'felt narrower' because they terminated around the toes in a way that felt pointed. These slippers are supportive, but were too small in the toe box. When I put on slippers, I want the anti-high heel feeling. Seems very difficult to find closed slippers with natural fabric or fiber lining (support and warmth without sweat due to synthetics) and room in the toe.

These have 5 stars for a reason! They feel like fluffy clouds, fit like a dream, and are perfect for indoor wear with the smooth leather soles! You've found them: add to cart!

These are just delicious on the feet. Love the soft soles and shearling. I can adjust the laces so that my narrow heels do not slip out.

I could not love these more. I am currently on my second pair after my first pair finally kicked the bucket after 6+ years of wear. I wore those puppies down to almost no lining. (But, alas, I have not disposed of my original pair! They are now my travel slippers.) My second pair are just as perfect as the first, nice and fluffy and warm. My husband was so jealous of my slippers that looked so nice and warm that I bought him a pair a couple years ago and he loves his just as much as I love mine. There are many days in the winter that I put these on when I wake up and don't take them off until going to bed. And coming home after a long cold day? You will then discover why they are named "Old Friend." They truly are like slipping your feet into an old comfy sweatshirt that has come to be your friend. As for sizing, if you hover between sizes like I do definitely go for the bigger size. (I'm typically a 7 or 7 1/2. I got an 8 in these and it's perfect.) No one wants a tight slipper, so it's always better for a slipper to be a bit loose than for it to be too small. You're just shuffling around the house after all, it's not as if you're hiking 10 miles.

Absolutely love these slippers! They are so comfy and warm. I would highly recommend these to everyone who wants toasty toes!

I love these slippers. They are exactly as described and exactly what I wanted.

I originally ordered the Minnetonka Cally slipper because I liked the dark brown color and it looked less bulky than this slipper. Reviews said they run big but I got them and they didn't fit. I saw that the reviews on this style said they run small so I ordered a ten, my usual size is 9 1/2. These fit great, the heel was a little loose until tied the lace a bit tighter and it is fine. I am very impressed with Zappos service and speedy shipping!

My whole family has been wearing Old Friend slippers for years. Old Friend mocs are a mainstay under the Christmas tree, in fact it would not be Christmas without them. I live in Appleton, WI. And I have been known to shovel snow and go to the store in these babies they are warm and we wear them every day inside and out. They start out a little snug but before long they sit like a well made glove.

I bought these for my daughter because she was always stealing mine. They are the best slippers! Comfy, warm and last a long time. I've had my pair for about 7 years and they are still holding up well.
