Great look for an all purpose sneaker, I found this shoe to be very versatile. It's great for any occasion whether that be going to the gym, hanging out with friends, or part of your casual Friday wardrobe. It is a bit small but once you give time to break it in, it'll stretch out a bit.

Nice shoes but they are a tight fit. Maybe New Balance runs a little small, I'm not sure these are my first pair but they were definitely a 1/2 size too small compared to all my other shoes. And they don't come in half sizes unfortunately.

Sizing on these is inconsistent. My first pair was an 11.5 regular width and they feel fine. Picked up another pair, same size, and realized too late that they felt much narrower, tight above the toes, and 1/2 size smaller (still hoping these will break in a bit more). I've since picked up a couple pairs of size 12EE and they're fine. Definitely order your size and another pair slightly larger to try if you have wider feet or bulky finger-like toes.

Initially I felt the shoes was tighter even though I ordered the wide type, but wearing it almost every other day has made my feet perfectly fit the shoes and relaxing.

Even with a wide width the toe box is still a bit narrow, still pretty comfortable though - good looking shoe - hoping they wear in a bit more. Also, they're a little warm.

Great price and great customer service. The sneakers I ordered were slightly too small so they exchanged them with no additional cost and free shipping. So convenient. They shipped the larger pair before I even sent the small ones back.

Was comfortable for first few hours wearing around the house. Later developed pain in right instep.m returing for another style of NB walking shoe.

Stylish and comfortable. One warning I would have is that the soles don't have much tread. They can get pretty slippery when wet.

I love these shoes. I have very wise feet, so Nikes and many other brands won't fit me comfortably, but NB offers a EE width which fits me perfectly. These offer an excellent compromise of cushioning without being too soft. They look good with jeans or khakis since they're all black, which allows me to wear them to the office and maintain a business casual appearance.

Very comfortable, fit true to size. Slightly more "mauve" than the photo looks.

Great everyday or walking shoe. They were a bit hard at first but after about a week of breaking them in they are good to go.

Look good, feel great. I wear a woman's size 10, ordered a man's size 8.5. Glad I didn't hesitate ordering these.

I am very happy with the NB Classic M574. I ordered these a half size larger than normal (11.5 vs. 11 for my old pair of NB). I'm glad I decided to do that, as these fit perfectly. Very comfortable right out of the box.

I've been wearing the NB 99x series for a long time which are always excellent shoes, but when I recently lost a pair and needed to buy new ones I saw that this shoe, which has similar overall styling, was only about half the price with pretty good overall reviews. I wouldn't say these are on par with the 99x series but they are very comfortable and the overall quality is in line with the rest of New Balance's shoes.

It's hard to find comfortable yet stylish shoes for wider feet. And at first, these weren't too cozy on the sides of the feet, but after a week they did break in and feel good now. I can't say the most comfortable shoes I've worn, and I don't recommend for long distance walking, but a very very good combination of style and comfort; where you can generally have one or the other.

Good looking shoe. Terrific value. Comfortable for everyday wear when dress shoe is not required.

If you want any shoe to fit you, find out what last means and order shoes that have the last you need. If you need a shoe with an S2 last, this is a good one. The only reason I gave just 3 stars for comfort is that the front sole could use more padding. If you order from Zappos Monday through Thursday, delivery is lightning fast.

Returned because they just didn't feel wide enough. The length was great and everything else felt very comfortable. Ordered another New Balance shoe as a replacement because I still love their products even if they are a bit narrow sometimes.

Great looking and fitting shoes for the price. Pretty light and sizing seems accurate. The bottom tread doesn't look like it will last long, but I have worn them for a couple of weeks and so far they show very little signs of use.

They're nice shoes. They take awhile to get used to coming from the bulky, white tennis shoes. I've been wearing for years and years, but it's a nice change of pace. The shoe in the picture looks brown, but the actual shoes are gray, so take that as a warning.

I use these as walking around shoes, and they work great. The wide size I bought doesn't provide as much extra width as, say, DCs, but they're definitely roomier than standard width shoes. They're extremely lightweight. The construction feels solid. The soles make these seem fairly tall, but that might be because I'm accustomed to skate shoes.

The shoes are great, but be warned that they come in a much brighter green than the picture. More kelly green than forest green.

My finace, after weeks of shopping for a new, perfect sneaker, found this New Balance Classic on Zappos, and with much excitement placed an order with my Zappos account. We paid for overnight shipment, and after 2 days did not receive. When I called the Zappos customer service number, we were helped right away, very little telephone wait time, and the representative was cool, understanding and able to refund us for the shoe and shipment fee. The problem was with UPS and if there is anything negative to say about Zappos, it's that I wish they would switch to the slightly more competent delivery service that is Fedex. (I have very rarely in life experienced UPS to delivery when they say they will.) The New Balance shoe itself ended up being slightly too large for his foot, but this is the struggle he is always facing. He is a 12.5, and most companies stop making half sizes after 12, so he often has to squeeze into a 12 or make due with a slightly larger 13. If this shoe was made in a 12.5, it would have been perfect.

Great shoes. Color was a little misleading, but overall great shoes. Comfortable and good looking.
