5th pair of 574s, still loving them! Bought these shoes for work. I spend 8 hours a day on my feet, and I love these shoes. Some people may have a problem with the relatively flat sole of the shoe, but it fits my foot well.

Everything I thought they would be - These shoes are so comfy and look great. I was looking for a new pair of shoes to replace my 4-year-old New Balance running shoes. I wanted the retro, casual look that I could wear all the time with jeans or shorts. After looking at tons of Pumas, Saucony, and Adidas, I settled on these in the Black/Grey/White colors. My only complaint is that they didn't come in a non-leather model. I would have liked to spare the poor cows in my purchase, but these shoes were just so cool I couldn't resist. Plus, suede begins to show its age after a while, and can't be worn in rainy weather. Not like I would wear these when it was raining anyways, but when they start to get older I would have liked to have some kicks to put on when the weather looks bad. If you don't have any reservations about buying suede, then go for it.

My favorites! The M574 line of shoes for casual everyday wear and use fit my feet absolutely perfectly and I hope I can continue buying updated versions of the same model as they require no breaking in period, look great, and fit perfectly.

Classic New Balance - Great shoe. Both comfortable and classic looking. Ordered from Zappos and they were extremely helpful and friendly. I also bought from them because the local mall only carries the newer styles of sneakers most of which look ridiculous.

The NB Classic M574 are fantastic. A bit stiff right out of the box but a few hours of wear and they feel great. Strongly recommended.

New Balance does it again - This is the second pair of NB I've ordered from Zappos and I was NOT disappointed. The shoes looked as shown and are VERY comfortable. I will be buying another pair when these wear out.

Great shoes - I used to own the same pair, but loved them so much; I ran them into the ground. I have used Zappos on a number of occasions and have been happy with the service. Since I knew exactly what I wanted and didn't have to try on for size, I felt comfortable ordering online and was very happy with my purchase.

On about my 10th pair of 574's; still satisfied! As stated above I'm on about my 10th pair of 574's but I'm not really counting. There's a reason why 574's are among the New Balance "Classics". I've had a lifetime of problems with my strange feet... the left is a full size larger than the right; they're flat and I have chronic hammer toes and ingrown toenails yet the 574's seem to accommodate these imperfections. I'm sure they would accommodate orthotics as well but I've never tried mine... don't seem to need them is these shoes although were I to try I'd most likely order a size or 1/2 size larger; common sense dictates this. As far as the look... well' what do you really expect a shoe that fits this well to look like? To me they look fine... almost sort of the look of a "generic" casual, athletic shoe. My only complaint is that they don't maintain a color scheme for very long. Being an older guy (56) I'm a traditionalist would just as soon order a plain looking shoe with just a dash of color for accent. New Balance is consistently trying to update this shoe by offering increasingly outrageous color schemes but I suppose they're just trying to keep the shoe marketable to younger customers.

Great Retro Runner - I was looking at all brands of retro-style "fashion" running shoes and I always came back to the M574. It really is the ultimate in old school running shoe style. Super comfortable shoe as well. Goes great with shorts and jeans. They may not have all the tech of newer shoes but they still seem to work great for physical activity. Overall very pleased with this shoe. I got my shoes within 2 days after ordering with zero hassle. One of the best online retailers I've used. So much better than going from store to store to find they don't have your size or color, etc. Great easy-to-navigate website with pics of all shoes from all angles. I will be using Zappos for the majority, if not all, of my future shoe purchases.

Always a winner - The 574's look great, feel great and for the money they're a steal. I won't go without a pair.

New Balance classics - The shoes seemed a little stiff when I first put them on, but gave me great comfort all day shopping. These are some of the lowest price New Balance and they looked OK. I did not really like the very shiny blue plastic N or trim. These are really just walking around and going shopping shoes. They are not supportive enough to walk or run long distances in.

Great fit and comfort Made in USA - I love New Balance, and the classic NB style is my favorite sneaker. I got the dark red / white colors, and some of the red had rubbed onto the white shoelaces. I guess that's to be expected with a vibrant color like red. Overall it doesn't affect the look of the shoes, which is kick @$$.

Favorite sneakers - No matter how may other shoes I try, I always come back to New Balance. I get these in wide and they fit great. I wish there was more arch support though. Oh, and I wish I didn't wear the same shoes as my gf's mom. The style is a little old lady-like

New Balance Classics - In a nutshell Zappos is the best place to order shoes. No one ships/returns as fast. You can view the shoe from so many different angles; making it easy to purchase. Also reading customer testimonials and having surveys gives the customer an idea of what they are purchasing. I tell everyone to purchase from Zappos. Not only do you receive high quality shoes but excellent customer service!

New Balance Classic - Great Sneaker!!! I purchase this sneaker to do the MS walk (10 miles). The entire time I felt like I was walking on air. I recommended this sneaker to ALL!!!

Kool Kicks - These shoes look smart and are comfortable for the fat-footed (get E or wide size). Arrived at my house in less than 24 hours.

Fly kicks - These shoes rule. (They felt a little narrow at first but shifted to fit perfectly after only a couple days of wearing.)

AMAZING SHOE - This shoe looks, feels, and performs better than any other shoe I've ever had. Goes great with jeans and also with shorts. Not enough ventilation though. Great shoe for the price!

Gotta Love the M574 - This is the perfect looking shoe available in a variety of colors. Nice thing is they keep coming out with new color/fabric combinations, allowing you to order the same size and width each time you find a new one you like!

4 out of 5! I purchased New Balance again because my last pair were so great. There are two differences between the pairs--first, the size. Last time I had a 7.5 Women's, but this time it was too big and I had to return them for a 7. Also, the support in the back at the top of the shoe (where it is a slight U shape) can be a little uncomfortable and digs into my skin. It is getting better, though, and I think it is only a matter of breaking them in. All in all, I like them!

Chris - Great shoes. This is my third pair (different colors). They're comfortable whether walking about your neighborhood, or running a 5 mile race in them - as I did the other day.
