Melissa II - Nice sandal, a little tight in front but hopefully will stretch a bit with wear. Cute, too!

Happy walker - Cushy comfort! I like the extra "padding" that cushions the arch and toes. My "Mary Jane" Earth shoes have a strap that hits right on the ankle bend, so I'm happy that this strap is forward a bit so doesn't press or rub. The good design, great craftsmanship, and good choice of colors are a plus too. I'll wear these year round.

Comfortable & Supportive - This sandal is very comfortable and offers excellent support for the foot. Velcro allows for fit adjustment. You do feel the slightly different stance in the calves, but it is not uncomfortable.

Great Sandals - So happy to be back to Earth Shoes! Loved them in the 70s!!! So comfortable...no need to break in! I had seen a podiatrist due to pain in the ball of my foot. A bone malformation there caused pressure in the wrong spot, which made a thickened callous and caused a lot of pain. The higher arch support takes the pressure off that area, which helps immensely!!! I'm sticking with Earth shoes!!!

KUDOS to Zappos and Earth Shoes - I have had problems with my feet forever (I am past retirement age). When I was little I had hardly any heel; and until I was teenager I wore what they used to call "corrective shoes." They were very stodgy oxfords and in my teens I just refused to wear them anymore. All of these years since that time I have just muddled through trying all sorts of shoes that I expected to be wonderful. I purchased my first pair of Melissa 2 about a year ago. I have never experienced such support for my narrow, thin, foot. The adjustable straps are just what I need to keep my foot in place. I tried several other styles, actually I thought more feminine, but none gave me the support that the Melissa 2 does. I do wish the Ocre color was a lighter brown than it is, but still that is minor compared to the fit of the shoe. I wear them so much that I decided I needed another pair for "going out" and wear the first pair around the house and for walking my dog. The new ones are even better than the first pair - mainly because the straps seem shorter and/or the velcro strip is longer - considering my narrow foot - I do not have such a lot hanging over at the end. And then there is Zappos - they are just the best - I cannot say enough for their service.

The best sandals EVER!!! I've been wearing these for two years and hope they never discontinue them! Very adjustable for skinny, flat feet like mine, and have great cush under the heel unlike most Earth styles. I have a bunion, hammer-toe, and arthritic feet and knees so it's very exciting when I find a shoe that feels this great--for my whole body! My first pair is what I use as house shoes and it's hard for me to change out of them so I've purchased a second pair in black. I LOVE the negative heel but it doesn't feel as pronounced in this style as in others, but I still feel the immediate shift in my posture when wearing them. They are very high-quality and worth every penny!! Also, I always go down a half size in Earth shoes.

Cute and comfy! I've been an Earth shoes fan for several months now and these sandals did not disappoint. At first I thought they might be too tight across the top because I have a high instep, but after wearing them for a little while, I realized that wasn't going to be a problem. They are very comfortable and supportive.

Wonderful Shoes! I just received these shoes, and couldn't wait to try them on. They are GREAT - even better than I expected! I have a lot of foot problems, and have had a very hard time finding comfortable, stable feeling sandals that aren't huge and clunky looking. These sandals are so comfortable, and they look great! They were definitely worth the investment. I wish they came in black too!

Fun style - and good for the feet! I am happy to have discovered Earth shoes on Zappos. I love everything about Melissa 2 except that the medium width is too narrow for me. I have re-ordered (and received) the wide. Otherwise this shoe gives comfortable, secure support (unusual for a sandal) and - the best thing of all - a pain-free lower back after a long day of work in retail. I can't believe it!

My first Earth shoes - not my last! I tried out these shoes to help with my plantar fasciitis and they feel really good. Shoes don't cure this problem but they get me on the way to recovery if they have good arch support. And the lowered heel DOES help me stand straighter. While I cannot take a long walk (b/c of the fasciitis, I feel better going to the grocery store, etc).

Pleasant Surprise - Received my shoes two days after ordering them, as I remember. Have waiting to review them to give myself a chance to really wear them. They were very comfortable from the moment I put them on. It took awhile to get use to the footbed but I love them and reach for them every morning. The fit is very adjustable and they stay put on your feet. I have a long (12) foot with a narrow heel so it is always exciting to find a shoe that really fits and stays in place on my foot.

My feet can breathe! A good sturdy sandal with excellent support. They'll last for years!

Worth of "EARTH" These shoes are definitely worth every dollar I spent on them. With proper care, I will be wearing these shoes for years! I have already had several compliments on them, too. Also, I can never make enough positive comments regarding the superb assistance I have received from your customer service representatives. Thanks again!

Great comfort & support - Looks great and feels like a walking shoe.

Melissa - My daughter likes these sandals, although the top strap leaves an outline on her foot. They have helped relieve her back and leg pain, and she really likes the support.

Look better than pictured - I think these sandals look better than pictured in the ad. Nice soft leather, very comfortable, and worth the extra money. I expect these shoes will last a very long time. Even more impressive was the lightning speed these shoes and the two pair of boys sandals arrived. All the right colors and sizes. I don’t think I will ever buy shoes at the mall again. A wonderful experience. Too often online shopping is a disappointment, but not with Zappos! They understand customer service.

These sandals are adorable!! I just ordered a pair of the Melissa 2 sandals and I love them. They are very girly looking because of the way the straps are designed and they look and feel like the expensive sandals that they are. They fit perfectly. There is no breaking in period. They are made of soft leather and if you have a back injury like I do you are going to be amazed at how they help your balance. I have been wearing Earth sandals for about 6 months now (I own 4 pairs so far and they are the only shoes that I will ever wear) and my posture has changed completely. I stand up straight and tall and believe me when I tell you that I used to have really slumped shoulders but little by little I have noticed how straight my back is looking now. I am going to order another pair of these sandals so I can have one pair that I can keep new looking and one that I can wear everyday. I know that I sound like a commercial for Earth shoes but I am just a customer like you who has been searching for shoes that would help me with my back injury and the negative heel technology in these shoes has done the job perfectly. Also, the customer service at Zappos was amazing. I ordered these sandals on a Saturday and I paid a little extra to expedite the order. I thought for sure that I would have to wait at least a few business days for the sandals to arrive but I was amazed to find my box of shoes at my door on Monday afternoon. That was fast service. All in all I have had a great experience ordering from Zappos and I would recommend that you order these sandals. They are awesome and you will love them.

Good for narrow feet, too! Wasn't sure about these as I have narrow feet and the footbed looked wide. Well, I have to say that this is one of the only shoes that actually has enough velcro for the straps to be tightened for my narrow feet. I have many other shoes that I love and fit the narrow width of my feet great, but then there's a large portion of strap that is not fastened because the shoes lack enough velcro. I am very pleased with these! Aside from the fact that they are fully adjustable for many different foot sizes, they are very comfortable. I have been wearing them for several days in a row and there was no break-in period. Upon first glance, they may not look as attractive as other sandals, but the comfort will win you over. After wearing them for a few days, I now really like how they look. Funny how that works!

Love them! My first pair of Earth shoes, but not my last. I'm very fussy about the fit of shoes, and these work for me. I particularly like the high arch.

Better than a Birkenstock! I order this in brown and loved it so much that I ordered it again in black. It has become my favorite sandal because of the terrific arch support, adjustable straps, lovely lining and I can wear them all day. My posture improves. As an occupational therapist I can attest that most back problems stem from weak stomach muscles and poor posture. If you remember to hold your stomach muscles in while wearing this shoe your overall health is bound to improve. Even though I have narrow feet, this shoe fit great.
