The Melissa - I have a really bad back and have to buy carefully. These are one of the best fitting shoes I have. They are so soft on the inside with great support. I would recommend these shoes for anyone of all ages. I have about 4 pairs of Earth soles and will be one of there dieing customers since I’ve been wearing them since the 70's. My feet are Happy! I purchased these shoes to carry me to Pennsic, a week of camping in period costume in Pennsylvania in August. Last year I wore Birkies, and my feet hurt so bad by the end of the week, I couldn't walk properly for days after getting home. With my Melissa’s and Athena’s (the other pair I bought), my feet were comfortable, with no pain from either my feet or the shin splints I get when I walk too much. I walked miles every day I was there, and my feet came through it all with no pain at all! The Melissa’s fit better in the toes, while the Athena is a bit long in the footbed, but still extremely comfortable. I'm planning on replacing all my shoes with Earth shoes, and am *so* glad that these wonderful shoes have returned after all these years.

Looks better in person, but makes indecent noises - These are great sandals, comfy and utilitarian. They stay on well and don't move, but they do make little "foot farts" when you're walking. Because your foot sits very far into the shoe and air doesn't get out except by being forced out through the sides in a little. They're very nice shoes except for the little.

Grandma loves these*** I ordered these for my grandmother's birthday. She loves these shoes. She says they are comfortable and she just has to get used to walking in them, but she really likes them. I was impressed that they were wrapped so well and avoided the damage that UPS placed on the box-but because they were packaged so the box the shoes were actually in were fine. They look even better in person than in the picture above! I love when I find a product that delivers! They fit her feet perfectly!

I find that these sandals are very comfortable EXCEPT--I bought the wrong one. The Ocrhre eclipse. These particular ones have to be worn with socks unless you want the entire world to listen to you walk. They make a sucking sound because the foot bed is not absorbable and you sweat. They also dye your foot brown I see that the other ones (the tundra, and the sandstone eclipse seem to have an absorbable foot bed that must be better). I will try them. I have a problem with my big toes that give me pain when I walk. With these shoes, the pressure is off and I can walk without pain.

Wonderful, comfortable sandals! I love these sandals! They are cool and comfortable (which is asking a lot of any shoe when one lives in Texas)! I love how light they feel and the look is not that heavy, orthopedic style that some other Earth shoes have. They are easy to put on and off, even with a wiggly 3 year old in my arms! These shoes make walking a pleasure again. Due to a hip deformity, I tend to overpronate and this problem is corrected when I wear these shoes. I bought a half size larger than I usually wear and that is a comfortable fit for me.

Earth Melissa 2 - At first I wasn't sure, but as time goes on, they keep getting more and more comfortable. I am a very casual dresser and like that these sandals look great with jeans.

Perfect sandal! I just got mine today in the mail. I love them already. Totally worth the price...and very comfortable, unlike the leather Birkenstock that has a horrible break-in time. I have a narrow foot and find that these sandals fit perfectly. The negative heal is barely noticeable. Highly recommended.

Awesome comfy shoe - I could wear them all day and all night, and take long walks. This is a very comfy shoe. Unlike other Earth shoes where I wear a half size smaller than normal, I ordered my usual size and the fit is perfect.

Most comfortable sandal ever!! I am a 32 yr. old mother of 3 young children-- so I have to have comfort but I am also into fashion and what is in style does matter to me. These are cute on the foot with casual clothes (I bought the light tan ones). With that said I am always on a quest to find the most comfortable shoe ever and thought I had with Birkenstocks but decided to try Earth sandals and have found them to be the most comfortable shoe EVER!!! Wish I had known about these before I spent so much on so many Birks. Guess I'll be starting a new collection of Earth shoes--because now I want to try several more styles. Trust me, I am the biggest shoe critic around and these are the best ever!

Finally a great walking sandal! I have tried many sandals in my quest for a comfortable walking sandal including Keens, Wolky’s, and Birkenstocks. These are the best ever. I can walk for quite a few miles without using my orthodics! My only complaint is they are just the smallest bit narrow.

Great sandal - This Earth shoe is amazingly comfortable. It is also very attractive. There was no break-in time, and since I find myself on my feet most of the day, the bottom of my feet don't hurt when I stand all day.

Comfortable sandals, say 'GOODBYE' to foot pain - A good consistency of comfort for foot when standing and walking. It's true that these pair of Earth Melissa 2’s keep your body in straight posture, and there's no pain in foot and it also reduce muscle pain in the body. Especially the muscles in the legs, back, shoulders, and neck. Not recommended for serious running activities. If that's the case, sneakers are recommended

Incredibly comfortable sandal - These feel a bit odd at first, rather as though you're being tilted backwards, but once you get used to them, these are the most incredibly comfortable sandals you will ever own. The padding and arch support are superb, and they look nice on your foot. Truly a wonderful choice for those of us with high arches.

Earth shoes - I love this brand. I haven't worn sandals for years because I haven't found a sandal with decent motion control. These are really good. Not quite as wonderful as some of the earth shoes but the best for a sandal by far. I do think that it runs a little bit big. I would have ordered a half a size smaller if I was going to do it again.

Love this sandal - This sandal is light weight and sooo comfortable. I have some difficulty buying shoes I can walk in due to a childhood illness and these shoes are the best. I only wish I could wear them year round.

Excellent Comfort Sandal - I am so glad that Earth has expanded their product line to include career shoes and stylish sandals. I intend to purchase Earth shoes from now on. Since I bought my first pair, I literally haven't worn anything else! I took several pairs of my old shoes to London for a week-long trip and never took them out of my suitcase. I wore my Earth shoes, walked for miles and never even thought once about my feet. And my energy level and overall stamina were definitely improved. This sandal is very comfortable and attractive. The fit is easy to customize because of the velcro straps. Thank you for such a wonderful product.

A winner for narrow feet - I have only worn them for a few hours so far (lots of standing & walking) but they were very comfortable (except for a blister from the ankle strap - think I just need to adjust it better). I have narrow feet & they actually fit! In fact I think that a person with a wide foot might have a little trouble wearing these. The reverse heel technology does feel different but not uncomfortable. I occasionally have leg pain and didn't have any while wearing these. I think they are sporty and are not as bulky as pictured. Have excellent cushioning. I think that this shoe is definitely a winner.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Unbelievable comfort. I remember owning a pair of earth shoes back in the day (ha). They were comfortable then. I forgot about them until I was looking for sandals @ Zappos (the only place to shop online) and WOW! There they were. I couldn't order them fast enough! I even bought a pair for my husband who had never heard of them. I said, "Ah, come on, you old hippie. We wore these way back when." He loves his pair too! If I didn't already own hundreds of shoes/sandals, I’d order just about all of them!

This shoe is wonderful. The fit is true to size, the quality of construction and materials is excellent, it looks great and is extremely comfortable.

Most Comfortable Shoe! I bought these shoes after breaking my toe. My doctor suggested a rigid sandal so I purchased these. Had it not been for these shoes, I would still be walking around with a silly orthopedic shoe! They helped me heal up fast and they are extremely comfortable. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a good quality, comfortable shoe.

First time to wear Earth, and in fact ordered 3 more different styles. Cute sandal and perfect for casual wear. It's unreal how much the negative heel helps the leg aches; don't want to wear any other brand after wearing Earth. I have PN and these shoes really help deal with the pain. Zappos continues to make shopping a delight and their return policy is outstanding..

earth melissa 2 shoes - The shoes are very comfortable and the style for me is great. I like comfort and style that can go with anything I choose to wear. I have gone to earth shoes do to a really bad back and since I started wearing earth shoes my back seldom kicks up on me. It is great at my age to be able to have some pain free days. Even when my back condition do to spinal surgery and arthritis is bad it never gets to the point of pain that I us to have. Since I started wearing earth shoes my back is so much better my knees are also getting there and I do believe its do to the shoes and that they keep everything in line.
