Great, summer sandal! This shoe is surprisingly good looking in person. It is not as bulky as it appears. And it is very comfortable, as is the Earth hallmark. I have very high arches and narrow feet and these shoes, with the velcro straps, fit great. The arrived in late July and have with stood all very well. I have worn them on the beach, in the mountains and through an unexpected rain storm and they still look great. As always Zappos is the only way to buy shoes.

Most comfy sandal - This is the most comfortable sandal I have ever owned the arch is the best anyone could ever offer. I hurried up and ordered a second pair of these . I love love these and so do my feet.I highly recommend them you wont be diappointed they also look great and zappos service great also

Comfort! Hey, I love these sandals. They are so comfortable and easy to slip into. I think they are good looking too. I am a diabetic and having the adjustable velcro straps are the only way to go. I have wide feet and medium to deep arch and they support my arch perfectly. The price on these are actually great! I've been through so many that didn't fit so I was delighted with this one. Zappos have the best return/exchange/refund policies. The best customer service and reps in the world. I love Zappos! They are my main source of shoe folks now. Thanks Zappos!!!!!

Earth Melissa's - I have just purchased my 3rd pair of Earth Melissa's and they are wonderful. I have pinched nerves in my neck and lower back and with these I can walk forever without pain. I have other Earth shoes but these are the best.

Truly walking on the Earth - The most comfortable sandal I have ever worn. When I wear them I feel like I am walking on the earth and not on asphalt. My feet and back are not tired after a day of wearing my Earth Melissa 2!

Been a long time - I had Earth shoes the first time and they were good shoes then. And they are good shoes now. Comfortable, true to size, fit well and look great.

Great hiking and walking shoe! I bought this shoe back in 2000 in Canada, while on vacation because my feet were killing me from all the walking... I have bad arches, bunions, knee problems and back trouble. Since I bought this sandal I have worn it out!! and will be purchasing my second pair. I wear them whenever I will be doing any kind of walking. I walk for exercise, I wear them, I go to Disney World or shopping for a long period, I wear them they give great foot support and arch support and my knees, feet or back do not get tired or hurt when I wear them!!

I can walk - I have a broken right foot that did not heal correctly...this cause me pain when walking. The Earth Melissa 2 was a real gift from God. I have much less discomfort when I wear them. I loved them so much I bought a second pair for a cruise in February with three of my daughters. I am a child of the 60's and who would think that I would be wearing Earth Shoes agian. My shoe size ranges from a size 8 to a 9 in this shoe I wear a 8. Zappos is truly from a by gone era that puts the customer first. Thank you for all your help.

Not as clunky as it looks - This sandal looks much better in reality than it does in a photo. It is not nearly as clunky as it looks. I ordered it thinking it would be comfortable rather than attractive, but it is both. I have a feeling I will be wearing this sandal alot when the weather gets warmer.

Earth Melissa 2 wide width - I wear a medium width in the Earth shoes that I have tried but have found the sandals to be too narrow. I ordered the Melissa 2 in a wide width and they fit me like the medium width I am used to. Super comfy, my feet are in love! Much cuter than the photo.

A bold flowing look, not clunky! The first time I saw the picture of the Melissa 2, I was sure I was looking at a man's sandal. The straps looked massive, and I was sure the sandals would be heavy in appearance and weight. But I found myself returning again and again to look at the "multi-view," and soon found myself enjoying the beautiful flow of the lines. Note especially the view looking down at the sandal: a striking asymmetrical flow and curve. Bottom line: I bought the Melissa 2 and am thrilled. The straps aren't massive as the picture suggests (the widest strap is approx. 1.5 inches across the back of the heel; on other parts, the straps vary in width from .75 to 1.0 inch in width, like Birkenstocks). The lines are beautiful to behold. The arch support is perfect. The straps are adjustable with velcro. And when I walk in my Melissa 2, I feel "rock solid," especially important since my knees aren't. These aren't delicate sandals nor are they designed to be. They are a bold, strong, unusual design I'll love wearing for years to come. Thanks Earth -- your shoes are all I wear.

I felt like an Earth goddess in my Earth sandels. These are the best sandals I've ever worn! I had been searching for a Clarks sandel, which must be out of production. These are better! Very comfortable, except for a bit of rubbing on my little toe, but that is due to my foot (bunions) and not the shoe. I had worn Earth shoes in the late '60's and didn't keep up with their styles, etc. I wish I had! My back felt better, and my feet also. It would be helpful if they came in a wide to accomodate my feet, but these are great.

Wonderful sandal - WOW! Very comfortable. Beautiful style. People are astonished when I tell them that these are Earth shoes. Worth the price. Great Zappos service

I Love the Earth sandal - The Melissa 2 is wonderful. When I tried them on in the store, I thought I had stepped into heaven! I have never felt such a comfortable sandal in all my life and that is the truth. I severely broke my ankle on the ice last winter and need comfort and support. This sandal fit the bill to a T. I have never bought an Earth shoe before but I am sure I will buy more from now on!! You will never regret paying the price for these sandals. They are worth every penny!!

I wrote my first review of these shoes in March, just a short time after purchasing them. I had only worn them a few times. It is now May and I have worn them many times since then. They are terrific sandals--extremely comfortable, excellent support, and great walking shoes. They also look very good.

No problems, but years ago I tried the earth shoe, and I liked them but changing back and forth caused some discomfort at muscles adjusted--and haven't noticed this with these boots and sandals. I find shopping this way is far superior to going to stores

This is the first time I have had an earth shoe. And they feel great. My left foot took some getting used to the new heel but the right felt great from the moment I put my foot in. In fact, it made a knee problem I was having go away immediately. Great shoe and looks great too.

Comfortable sandals-- I have never worn Earth Shoes before so it took a day or two to get used to their feel. Now I love them. I have plantar fascitis and need very good arch support. These sandals have a great arch pad. I can also wear them with my custom orthotics if necessary. As always, customer service from Zappos was great!

I love how this sandal looks! The picture looks as if it may be heavy and clunky, but it's a very light sandal. I have narrow and flat feet. I had no trouble with the fit. The arch is nice, but beware and do not wear these sandals for great length of time at first. The arch does take a breaking in period. Otherwise, I love them!!!

I have not worn sandals in the past, but wanted to give them a try this summer. After reading several reviews of the Melissa 2, I decided to give this style a try. The few times I have worn them, they have proven to be quite comfortable. The only problem I have encountered thus far has been one small tender spot on the top of my foot where the upper strap attaches. With a little breaking in, this problem should disappear. The service from Zappos has been 5-star!

Awesome choice of shoes - I have another pair I am wearing until it wears out. I bought this pair as a second spare. This company may not carry this style again next year. When you get a great looking shoe that is also like walking on air, you want to make sure you have enough backup stock. In fact, as I write this review, I might order another pair!

Narrow foot's dream! This is my first pair of Earth shoes and I couldn't be happier! First of all, I have a narrow foot, and I've been looking for sporty/hiking sandals that wouldn't have me swimming for ages. Well, this is it! The sandal fit my usually 8.5N foot like a glove and are not too chunky. I'm sure they could accommodate a wider foot as well (thanks to the two adjustable strips) but beware those with a high top of the foot, as the diagonal strip is pretty low. All in all, the shoes look and feel great and are very well made. As always, many thanks to Zappos.com! I've been ordering shoes from them for quite a while and I still can't believe the fantastic customer service, assortment and prices they have!

Ahhhhh... I haven't had a pair of Earth shoes since the 70's, but decided to give them a try again as my now arthritic feet make finding comfortable shoes difficult. These are wonderful because they take the pressure off the ball of the foot and toes. Also, my ankles feel more stable in these shoes. I'm very pleased with the craftsmanship and overall styling. The high arch support took a little getting used to but now I love it. The only improvement I might suggest is for Earth to offer these sandals in a wide width. The leather piece that diagonally crosses the top of the foot is slightly snug for me and cannot be adjusted. Regardless, I do highly recommend this sandal.

Super Sandals - These are the absolute best shoes I have ever bought! I am over 50 so that's a lot of shoes. My feet are almost as flat as my Mom's and I sprained my ankle in Sep. so had it wrapped, iced, xray'd, etc. but nothing helped EXCEPT this shoe! Wow. I usually wear wide and the velcro straps accomodate that, the workmanship is awsome, and I wear my socks with these just to keep my toes warm. The negative heel puts the weight on the heel instead of the weak arch and my ankle feels better.
