Hard to find, better than expected - This is my second pair of Earth shoes. I expected these to be heavy and "clunky" like my first pair, but was willing to tolerate for comfort. I loved these shoes from the first time I picked them up. They're lightweight, attractive and very comfortable. It was not a problem to adapt to negative heel balance, but probably because I had a similar pair. 'Could not find these shoes in local store. Several internet sites did not have all sizes and company was back ordered.

Earth's Melissa 2 - I love Earth shoes, they are very comfortable but they do not make narrow sizes so when I do order Earth shoes, they must have a strap that I can tighten them to fit. Earth shoes are also way too expensive. The Melissa is a very comfortable shoe but it is a lot more casual-looking than I had anticipated. Although I kept them, the price for a pair of sandals that can only be used in casual settings is way too high. I bought the light color, soft leather so perhaps the others are less casual looking.

Aside from the straps being stiff and bulky, the shoe is comfortable with good support for my weak arches.

I'll have to send these back because they were a bit too narrow. They felt uncomfortable at the instep/buckle area. Too bad they don't come in a wide width. They are well padded and comfortable otherwise and are made of high quality leather.

Like them, but... I just got my Mellisa 2s and love their look and quality. They are my 5th pair of Earth shoes, so I’m used to the negative heel. I have a very wide foot and extremely high arch, so have a hard time finding comfortable shoes that fit. This one fit fairly well because of the velcro adjustable straps, but I have had to adjust the straps all the way out to their last limit. One strap across the toes and up across the instep isn't adjustable and is pretty tight. Because they are leather, I know it will stretch, so am going to keep wearing them for awhile to see if they will loosen up. Otherwise they are extremely comfortable on my feet. If they do loosen up, I'll probably buy another color.

Great looks, only moderately comfortable - I have a hard foot to fit and I find the arch hard and therefore uncomfortable.

Clunky, but leather is so soft - Still not convinced about negative heel, but have been wearing them while standing painting for 7-8 hours, and they're good. Better for standing than walking. Overall look is pretty clunky.

Excellent arch support - I have plantar fasciitis and the arch and the negative heel make it comfortable enough to wear without orthotics. I like the color and the straps do not rub or irritate. They are a little noisy when I am walking.

Nice sandals - I ordered these sandals a half size smaller than the Earth Woodstock, which stretched out. These didn't stretch out and are not as comfortable as I'd hoped. I still love Earth shoes and hope these will loosen up with time. Overall a nice supportive sandal.

Very Comfortable and not bad looking - This sandal is very comfortable. I like the negative heel. I really feel that I stand more comfortably in these sandals, better aligned like their diagram shows. The sandal is all leather and the insole did turn the bottom of my foot a little orange, but not too bad. I'm expecting this to wear off in time. Also, because of the smooth leather insole, my foot sticks to the sandal and there is a little "thwacking" noise as I walk. I guess I'd prefer one of those suede insoles which absorb some moisture and reduce the thwacking.

Not Perfect, but Close - This is my first pair of Earth shoes since the 60's. I was happy to find that they still existed! My shoes arrived very quickly, and looked great. The size was a bit bigger than I expected, but that is not an issue. They are comfortable, adjustable, and look neat. However, after wearing with stockings for the first time, I found that the bottom of my stockings had turned brownish-red from the dye on the shoes. Ugh! Of course, it won't come out in the wash, either. That was one thing I never expected...

Great feeling, good looking sandal. Nice leather & seemed well made. Arch strap was too short in the 'Medium' width for me as I have a higher than normal arch & instep but the contoured insole felt good. The toe area contours will take a little getting used to but ok I think. There may be a little problem with the insole being contoured so well to my foot that it caused a 'suction noise' when raising my foot off the ground & again when stepping on the ground. The 'Earth' mfg. rep suggested trying baking powder or cornstarch saying it could be a damp foot but my foot was DRY. Hopefully this will cure that noise when I find a 'wide' width I intend to keep.

I have medium width feet but found that the standard medium width size with this sandle was too narrow. I love the look of the shoes and am going to try the wider sizing.

Nice shoes - I wanted sandles I could walk long distances in and I found them! My only complaint is not with the shoe, but with my feet. It seems that I am so flat-footed that the instep in the shoe puts a lot of pressure on my arches and my feet ached a bit after a day of gallery hopping in Santa Fe. I think that after a while, however, the sandles will train my feet to fit the shoe!

Comfortable and attractive; these don't look like the clunky earth shoes from when I was young. The heel took a little getting used to but now shoes are very comfortable.

IT'S ABOUT TIME - I really like this shoe. It's comfortable and well made. It was a little strange getting use to the angle (the way it made me stand), but it fits just right. Perfect arch support. Great shoe.

One of the most comfortable sandals I've ever worn. However, despite the fact that I have large feet and need a lot of arch support (making shoe shopping very difficult), I'm not willing to completely lose touch with fashion! These shoes made my big feet look even more ginormous and manly!! I would be too embarrassed to wear them anywhere. Had to send them back. Bummer!

Loving earth - Great!!! I now own 4 pairs of earth shoes!!! Once you have them your regular shoes will disappoint you. Wish I had found these sooner. It is best to try a shoe on first because of the design of the shoe. I have sizes 8,7,7.5.I am normally a size 7.5 or 8.

My big problem with these shoes is that squeak loudly with each step. I have worn them quite a lot, hoping to break them in and overcome the noise. It is so loud that people turn and look at me, and in a crowded room (or a library), it is most embarrassing. I would probably not buy Earth shoes again, despite the comfort and look.

I wanted these to be the most comfortable shoes but when I tried them on they were the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever had on my feet. For me they ran very narrow and pressed hard on my little toe. I did find a more comfortable Earth shoe but this one is not for everyone especially if you have wide feet with a flat foot.

I liked this shoe alot. The fit needs some getting used to. Also, I have a narrow foot so that fact that the straps are adjustable is a plus.

This was my first Earth Shoe and unfortunately they did not fit right. I think a size larger or wider would have made a difference. I walked around for awhile and thought I would enjoy the negative heel, but my normal size 7 didn't. They didn't have a size larger or I may have tried that. The shoes are super cute, though.
