To tell the truth, I was a little apprehensive about buying shoes online without even trying them on first. I bought these to replace a pair of red wing steel toe wellington boots that were never comfortable. These boots fit amazing, and are very true to size. They arrived lightning fast, I ordered them on Saturday night, and the arrived today (Monday, MLK day) on a holiday!! Thank you zappos!!

Great boots. Coming up on two years in them. On my feet 12 hours a day in a factory and they haven't let me down. Wasn't a huge fan of the puffy sides at first, but they really help if you bang into something.

I love these. Unlike many Dr. Martens boots I've worn before, these didn't require much of a break-in period to be completely comfortable. I wish they had been available in half-sizes. I would have gotten a half size smaller (but still the wide width). But I don't mind these a little loose. I'm using them as my motorcycling boots, and they are excellent for this purpose. Rugged and stylish!

Without a doubt these are the best boots that I have ever bought. Once broken in, they are super comfortable The upper arch is a bit tight until the boots are broken in I will be ordering another pair and put them up until these wear out. But, if they are like the rest of my Dr. Martens that will be years from now.

I love the whole look and design of the boot, tan looked awesome, but it was way too small. I am US Size 13 and that is what I ordered, but it was really difficult to get on and once on was incredibly tight, at least 1½-2 sizes too small I would estimate. The ankle support was fabulous, I can imagine this boot would be great for me if it came in US size 15, but it does not. Alas I had to return them.

Favorite work boot ever. I've had them a year now and I prefer them over all my other pairs of several major brands. Tight in the instep for me upon first wear but it loosens in all the right places after a few days. Now it's just right, I can wiggle my toes a little, small heel slip but never in an irritating way. The only way they could improve in my opinion is to have a composite toe option for those of us who pass through metal detectors daily.

I love my boots. Way more comfortable than I was expecting. Tight across the tops for about 2 hours but after that, no problems. I usually wear a woman's 8 in most every shoe. I got both the 7 and the 6 to try. The 6 was the winner.

These are outstanding work boots, they run very narrow though. Once I put Superfeet orange insoles in these boots to go with the air cushioned sole, they are perfect.

Great boot. I walk about 5 miles a day around heavy industry both inside and outside all year round. The Dr. Martens Rigger has a tough and attractive upper that holds up really well to all sorts of conditions. The sole is thick, comfortable and has a capable tread. The boot sheds mud, snow, oil, water, dirt and dust well. They are easy to keep clean and the leather upper will fit like a glove once it is broken in. The boot is true to size but it has a steel so buyers should consider moving up half a size if they desire room for toe wiggling.

I bought these for my boyfriend who works in a power house. He works 12 hours a day, for 14 days straight. He loves them, and says the support is great!

These boots are great. I've had them for about two months and they're perfect for what I do. I work on diesel vehicles...semi's and construction equipment. They've been great in this environment. It only took about five days for them to break in. Then they were comfortable. I plan on getting another pair.

Solid work boot. I am in EMS and these boots fit the bill perfectly. Of course, they were a little stiff when I first put them on but throughout the first day of wearing them, they became super comfortable. Highly recommended. I would recommend the Dr. Marten Comfort Insole (also sold by Zappos). Really helps out the boot a great deal.

The boots are nice. They seem to be holding up well in the Chicago winter. Whatever size you normally wear, go up one since they don't offer half sizes.I had to send the first pair back. They were too snug.

I bought these for my 21 year old son who works in construction/remodeling. He loves them, says they are super comfortable and easy to put on & take off.

If you are looking at these boots, just go ahead and order them. They fit perfect to size, extremely comfortable right out of the box.

My husband loves these work boots. He said he will not own any other work boot. He is a welder (for 40 years) and works in a shop standing on cement floors all day for 10 hour days. Best work boot on the market and we have tried them all!

These boots are awesome! So comfortable after 12 hours they still feel good. They are heavy but what do you expect? The cushion is great. I do have flat feet so I put an orthotic insert in them. This is my second pair. I got about a year before I wore the soles out. As a Pipefitter that's a pretty good lifespan being on construction sites all the time. Whether I'm in the dirt on concrete or standing on a ladder all day It just doesn't get better than these. After years of trying different high quality boots like Keen and Red Wing I have found the boots I love.

This is my second pair of Doc boots. I work as a rigger offshore and the first pair lasted well over a year seeing 90 hours of use per week. The ankle padding is amazing. Boots had a little break in time, and I would recommend a custom insole. You can't beat the price.

I like these boots. They were very comfortable from the get-go and broke in quickly. I should note that they are NOT waterproof (as I think one review said)...they are pretty water resistant though.

Needed a little breaking in but once they were, they are wonderful! Plus they are very nice to look at. I get compliments all the time!

These boots are great for work as a welder. Really comfortable from the start. I had no problems with having to break them in. I got the Tan Greenland and the color is great. It's not as bright as in the picture. More subtle but really nice. I liked them more in person. I generally wear a 10 1/2 but in this boot a 10 was perfect.

Classic, no-fuss work boots. It's hard to find work boots for women that aren't adorned with pink stitching or embroidered butterflies, so these are a dream come true. The padded ankle is actually pretty comfortable. It's a little difficult to sit cross-legged due to the bulk, but how often do you really need to sit cross-legged? Would definitely purchase again.
